  2. STEPHEN CHESNEY UNEVILS FIRST SONG FROM NEW EP WITH ROBERT MASON: First song co-written with Warrant vocalist Robert Mason sees the light of day. Los Angeles - The first song from the new solo EP by Guitarist/Songwriter Stephen Chesney featuring Warrant vocalist Robert Mason has found its way online as a streaming preview ahead of a future release. English born Stephen Chesney has been working on the songs throughout 2013 leading into the beginning of 2014 after hooking up with Mason to finish up the songs, based on tunes that Chesney had written over the previous years prior to landing in California. The tune also features drummer Scot Coogan (Ace Frehley/Brides of Destruction) bassist Koko Powell (Edgar Winter Band) and Rob Bloise on keys along with a horns section featuring Jim Wheeler(Slash/Loggins Messina) and Mitch Manker (Ray Charles). The song along with the rest of the EP has been worked on by Guns N' Roses/Santana Engineer Rob Beaton in Los Angeles, an early/mid 2014 release date is currently being finalized. More information will be available soon at: www.StephenChesney.com www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCiR1IHTOxM
  3. Same line up for 8 years now...and they've put out some killer records. James Christian is just an amazing singer...nice guy too.
  4. Did Alan or Roy let you hear any of it yet? I am waiting for the final mix session on Nov30 for any final tweaks before I hear it... So far I've only heard "You Lie" (which is fantastic) but I should be hearing several more in the next week or so. Get rid of the drummer and the bass player and you might have a great album here! LOL Obviously kidding - this is how we all speak to each other with that bunch .... That's awesome! Glad you're digging it!
  5. You big tease! Can't you post a snippet or two for us to listen to? Not without permission, sadly. It's coming though! The launchpad is being prepped as we speak!
  6. I have no doubt that the future material will rock!! Vic has a proven track record of quality, IMO.
  7. I have heard all 12 unmastered mixes...I am really excited for you guys to hear this!!
  8. Shortino doesn't need QR...he's got Vegas baby!!
  9. Seems a lot of artists are forming these 'self-cover' bands lately. Is it to hit fringe markets? Make extra cash? Fill in the income gaps between band tours? All of the above?
  10. Gary Schutt is STUPID-talented....such an awesome guy too! It was cool to meet him and hang a bit at MRF3...

  12. Since the video with snippets of the mixing sessions was presented yesterday on my FB page, I feel good about letting this particular cat poke his face out of the bag a little. Earlier in 2013 I was approached by Alan Kelly (founding member and drummer for UK Melodic Rock legends Shy) about providing lead vocals for a new project he was working on. Being a sane person, I accepted. Now, many months later, the project has a name (which I will divulge later) and the album is in the final mixing stages (as evidenced by Alan's video that I shared yesterday) and I am very excited about the impending release! All songs were written by Alan himself, and the recording also features ex-Shy bassist Roy Davis! I think you guys are gonna dig this!
  13. Waltham f'n rules...all 4 new singles are fantastic!
  14. From what I understand, you won't have to.
  15. The album would not really have been any better because the music would have been the same. Gary just wrote lyrics to what Ed/Al had on them...no rearranging, no changing...just wrote over existing music/arrangements...Malloy would have had to do the same thing. Also, I find it funny that Mitch and Gary tell the same story about them thinking they were "IN" the band when they saw the MTV thing...how could they both think that at the same time?
  16. They're calling it Westworld because it has Ravel & Harnell AND Frontiers wants them to...
  17. Thanks so much man!! Tell all your friends...
  18. I like Cosmo, yeah....maybe if they had chosen him as sole lead vocalist instead of this multi-vocalist angle they have going on...I don't know.
  19. I love every album by Mr. Big (both Gilbert & Kotzen eras). If I'm honest, Mr. Big are one of my favorite Melodic Rock bands....probably mainly because of Eric Martin's vocals...he has such a great delivery and vibe.
  20. This is me. I still buy CD/DVD/Box Sets from my all-time, never-changing mega faves....all else is digital. New releases usually come from Amazon MP3 for me. Like Rockposer states, it's all about the music at the end of the day...not the delivery method. I did start buying vinyl again last Summer and am now at about 100 titles...
  21. The Winery Dogs - s/t Coldspell - Frozen Paradise Newman - Siren AdrianGale - Suckerpunch Laneslide - Flying High Covered Call - Impact Snowfall - Cold Silence Pretty Maids - Motherland W.E.T. - Rise Up dUg Pinnick - Naked Pinnick Gales Prigden - s/t
  22. I grew up in the early MTV age, so rarely did I buy anything 100% blind. I did, however, buy PLENTY of albums simply because of one song or video: Van Halen - 1984 Def Leppard - Pyromania Journey - Frontiers Bryan Adams - Reckless Kiss - Asylum Bon Jovi - 7800F Mr. Mister - Welcome To The Real World Ozzy - Bark At The Moon David Lee Roth - Eat 'Em & Smile Tesla - Mechanical Resonance Cinderella - Night Songs Dokken - Under Lock & Key
