  1. It's got TONS of Bowie/T-Rex/70s Glam influence...not a bad record at all, IMO. My faves from him are still 'Letters' and 'Sycamore Meadows'...
  2. It was the drummer, Darren Smith, who sang that song on 'Believe'...
  3. would you help mr.rob? Who's that?? wow...did i miss something? mr.kerns. Oh, Robert...yeah, if he was available & willing I would...
  4. would you help mr.rob? Who's that??
  5. I helped write the song that Harry/Pete are on...lyrically. Vic did not produce the entire album, just the songs he wrote/co-wrote. I helped write 3 of the 4 Vic did for the record (lyrically). I also co-wrote/sang a song on the album (I was alo on the Independence Day album). It's shaping up to be the best LnJ album yet.
  6. New Candlemass is amazing as well...and I'm looking forward to the new Dream Theater (I haven't been able to say that for years now)...
  7. Revelation was far from awesome...it was decent, but it sounds pretty "auto-pilot" to me...even if Augeri had sang it, the songs seem kinda by-the-numbers for the band...
  8. How could I forget Heaven And Hell??! Great album...
  9. Neal Morse is a certified genius...his Spock's Beard stuff is pure gold. I liked his first 2 solo (pop) albums...then 'Testimony' proved that HE indeed was 100% of Spock's Beard's awesomeness. I stopped paying as much attention after that, but have heard bits of his stuff since and it's all pure Morse-Prog greatness.
  10. Jorn is the freakin' man!!! LOVE that guys voice....
  11. Andrew, Have you heard the complete album? Man I am dying to hear this.....I labelled this earlier in the year as a potential album of the year in the MHR stakes. As regards JSS and Journey........never sat completely right for me either. I Love JSS and think he has a brilliant stage presence but something just didnt click. Pineda is a better fit for them IMO. Plus from a purely selfish view point I want to hear JSS creating his own music. 'Beautiful Mess' was brilliant for me. & now this W.E.T. collaberation could and should be even better! Cheers Yes, have full album here and you'll hear a preview next week at MR.com and a full track on the new MRCD compilation. The music and lyrics are all JSS co-writes with Robert Sall from Work Of Art and Erik from Eclipse, with the Eclipse guys performing the music and Erik producing. Sounds like the latest Eclipse album meets Eyes meets Journey. JSS sounds a lot different on this album and there is a ton of AOR on it but all done with the balls of Eclipse. The last track though is one of the most Journey-esque tracks I have EVER heard outside of Journey performing themselves. And JSS does his very best Perry vocal....amazing... Stunning album - balls, hooks and choruses... Wow, that sounds just perfect to me. Cant wait for this! Looking forward to the preview.........Cheers THIS I am ready for...
  12. I'm digging the new Hardline, JSS's 'Beautiful Mess' & Tall Stories' 'Skyscraper' quite a bit...the new Blue October is great too... The Places Of Power and Street Legal were OK too...but I only spun them a couple times...
  13. For my money, I prefer Augeri to any of Perry's replacements...the boot I have of JSS w/ Journey is good...he sings the songs fine...
  14. Only producing/co-writing for multi-platinum Country artists like Keith Urban and Lonestar...nothing much. -wink-
  15. I've heard pretty strong rumors about Giant reforming for some shows, but without the now legendary Dann Huff at the helm. Has anyone else heard this or any more about it? I'm usually pretty open minded about bands carrying on with new singers, but this one feels a little weird.
  16. Yeah, he's been part of the band for quite some time now...right after the release of 'Reach'...I think they are finally working on new material with him now.
  17. Maybe it's Hardline 2009? Listen, Hardline only had one album before a LONG hiatus...and as for Schon, Hardline was already in existence...they were already recording when Schon came on and most of the songs were already written... Anyway, the songs on this new Hardline album are very good...all this "it's not Hardline" talk is kinda silly...
  18. I am a sucker for the Sammy/Mikey combo...and the songs I have head are great! Can't wait for this CD!!
  19. Nickelback - Gotta Be Somebody and Taylor Swift - Love Story The chorus music is interchangable...sing one chorus over the other...
  20. Allen/Lande - Wake Up Call Pink Cream 69 - Waiting For The Dawn Dokken - Hole In My Head Dimage - One And Only Boston - Hitch A Ride The Cult - Star Firehouse - Shake & Tumble Marvelous 3 - I Could Change Harem Scarem - Karma Cleansing Phillip Bailey/Phil Collins - Easy Lover Genesis - Time Table Headed For A Heartbreak - Winger Sammy Hagar - Who Has The Right? Richie Kotzen - You Don't Owe Me David Bowie - Soul Love Journey - Lights (live) Mr. Big - Trapped In Toyland Paul McCartney - Venus & Mars/Rockshow Richie Kotzen - Fantasy Night Ranger - As Always I Remain Van Halen - Take Me Back (Deja Vu) U2 - I Will Follow Mr. Big - Arrow
  21. Freak. 'Take cover' is amazing, though. 'The chain' and 'Going where the wind blows' are pretty sweet too. But the rest - Nah, there's not a bad song on that record...
  22. She's a great singer, and I've liked the scattered song here and there, but overall I'm not really a fan. She's got the same kind of voice that the dude in Rascall Flatts has...R&B style w/ a Southern Gospel twang...I can only take so much of it but there are songs I like by both...
