  1. Fayetteville Oops. He's a cool guy. A buddy of mine Marc Anthony plays in a band with him called The Fifth now. I forgot about The Creek...
  2. I've never heard a Talisman album I did not like...
  3. North Carolina had a few bands that did some cool things back in the day...Firehouse, Dimage, Paris Red, DuBeel all called NC home...obviously, Firehouse was the only one to make it huge...Roy (Rory) Cathey from Cold Sweat was from Raleigh and lives there now and the drummer from Baton Rouge was from and now is back in the Winston-Salem area...
  4. Well, they were done because Jeff had joined Journey...but now that he's still basically a solo artist, no reason for Talisman not to continue...
  5. Sik Vikki I've never heard of...I know Steve was involved with Silver Codor...
  6. A bit of earlier Ryche mixed with other stuff...like Ryche+Scorps+Whitesnake+Dokken
  7. Never knew Plunkett had a solo album...sounds like a slightly more stripped Autograph, hooks galore but not as slick...this guy is such a great songwriter...
  8. Lots of views...anyone else check this out?
  9. Bro, you guys sound GREAT!!!! Good job!!
  10. Geoff indeed sounded amazing on The Warning...my favorite vocals of his, though, are on Mindcrime...his intensity on that record is unsurpassed, IMO.
  11. I figured there was a thread...but when I searched "iPod" nothing came up...sorry.
  12. Since then... Groove Machine - King's X Deal For Life - Bad English She's Got Everything - White Lion Untitled - Fuel Tribal Moon - Badlands Girl Gone Bad - Van Halen People Are Strange - Marvelous 3 Once You Love Somebody - Journey The Crow & The Butterfly - Shinedown Mistreated - Dimage Cheap Little Thrill - Mr. Big Anytime - Journey Unwashed And Somewhat Slightly Dazed - David Bowie Broken Homes - Neal Morse Another Round - Foo Fighters Missing - Icon
  13. "Suck" is subjective. I think some bands just grow into a direction some fans just can't follow...they're not any worse or better...just not the same.
  14. Exactly. Batman? I just switched him out...I'm a Batman geek-boy from way back.
  15. Sweet! I'm surprised Target Records isn't carrying Divebomb's TKO reissues as well...
  16. Role Models - much funnier than I expected.
  17. I agree. "IV" wasn't really that different in style from "Pull" (though maybe a touch more progressive) but the songs just weren't anywhere near strong enough - no hooks. Europe were actually one of my favourite bands - after the incredible "Out of This World" & "Prisoners..." - who tried to make the change to Modern Rock, but left all their fans behind. I admire them for taking a chance, but again the songs were just nowhere near strong enough. I don't think Europe tried to become so much "Modern Rock" as they just stripped away all the gloss and became a more hard-edged Rock band...
  18. Exactly, just like Bon Jovi who always said they were never a particular style but just themselves. you cant lose your way when you dont have a way, so to speak Agreed...Bon Jovi is another great band...These Days is my all time fave from them...
  19. I took the intro CD's, then only ordered when they offered the "Buy 1, get 4 free" deal a few times a year...then they ran out of stuff I wanted.
  20. I don't think they lost their way at all...they simply became what they intended from the beginning...a Pop Rock band, and and a damn good one, IMO...
  21. I searched and could not find a topic like this, but if I missed it feel free to delete this.
