  1. Shocker mate. Truly. Yeah, I wept a little reading these ones. I still do... I did manage to snag the 7800 Fahrenheit remaster last week...

  5. I don't know...this one didn't hit me quite as hard. My wife liked it, but not all of it...
  6. I loved the When All That's Left Is You album...I need to check this new one out.

  9. Anyone check out the demo? I'd be curious to hear your thoughts...
  10. Coolness...I'm glad they finally found a way to make Guardian function...they've been trying for years...
  11. Some of the lyrics on Dark Horse are kinda stupid, but the hooks are really good...several of these could be Def Lep songs...you can really hear Mutt's signature in a lot of the arrangements...
  12. WAKING JONAH WIDE AWAKE: After something of a false start in the Spring of 2008, Waking Jonah is finally in a groove and on a roll recording their debut album. A year ago Waking Jonah became the only unsigned band to be included in ARfm's A-List rotation with their track "Breaking Down". Then in early 2009, the band was voted the #5 Best Unsigned Band of 2008 at AlternativeAddiction.com on the strength of that track alone. Now, finally, Waking Jonah is deep in the trenches recording what will be their debut album. The band has written 12 songs for the album with the best 10 making the final cut. The band is currently about halfway through tracking drums/rhythm guitars with an eye to be finished recording/mixing by July. "We are really excited about the material we came up with...", says vocalist Shawn Pelata (also lead singer for the band Line Of Fire). "To our ears, there is a good variety without really straying from what we feel Waking Jonah is and we can't wait for people to hear it." Guitarist Stephen Chesney adds, "The response to 'Breaking Down' has been unreal and we can't thank everyone enough!" Waking Jonah is Pelata, guitarist Stephen Chesney, drummer Jeremy Thomas (formerly of Stickboy) and keyboardist Keary Reid with songs penned by the songwriting team of Chesney/Pelata. To hear the original demo for "Breaking Down", head on over to www.myspace.com/wakingjonah and check it out. Look for more info in the weeks/months to come.
  13. Not sure how it can sound awesome in 10 years if it doesn't even sound particularly good right now... Man...this is one of those times that I am really puzzled by the disappointment in a new record. It's loaded with great hooks, great vocals, great guitar...everything just feels so good about it. It's not really that far of a stretch for Hardline (which, admittedly, is now The Jhonny G. Band)... I mean, it's not like Hardline have a string of classic, world renown albums like a Van Halen or a Def Leppard. They put out one record 17 years ago that was barely a blip on the radar (and another a few years ago). Double Eclipse has become a "classic" in its own right amongst us, obviously, and for good reason...its awesome! But IMO this new one is more than deserving of the Hardline name because of the feel...it's melodic, hook-filled, guitar driven Rock music just like the debut...I think its great! History will be kind to this release, even if the present is not...just like Lep's Slang (off the top of my head).
  14. LINE OF FIRE FIRED UP: Tribunal Records' melodic rockers LINE OF FIRE are nearing the end of the long, rocky road that has been the recording of their second album. Plagued with multiple delays over the last three years (including a couple of serious health scares), the disc is finally in the finishing stages and plans are being made for a Summer '09 release. The band (vocalist Shawn Pelata, guitarist Nikki Dimage, new drummer Jeremy Thomas and rounded out by Killwhitneydead's Rob Holder on second guitar) appreciates everyone's patience and support and is excited about getting the new material to the fans! To whet your appetite, head over to the band's MySpace page ( http://www.myspace.com/LoF ) check out the pre-production demo of new song "The Fire Never Dies" written by Pelata/Dimage. Look for more info in the weeks/months to come.
  15. Thanks for all the airplay on the DIMAGE tracks last night bro! It is much appreciated!
  16. As good as the vocals/performances are, some of it comes off as a little shallow...hard to explain. I like it overall, though...
  17. Nothing wrong with that bro...we all hear things differently. It has its moments, but overall was a little less than impressive to me...a good chunk of it is just kinda "there"...
  18. One More Night - Phil Collins Mandy - Harem Scarem Everything - Collective Soul Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own - U2 Lights And Thunder - White Lion
  19. I think you can now...I was looking into it...
  20. Today: Yesterday's Gone - Slaughter Pay No Attention - The Stereo Summer Nights (Live) - Van Halen All Of The World - Tall Stories
  21. I think the new album feels very natural and comfortable for Johnny...doesn't sound like he's trying too hard...it's just flowing and he sounds glad to be there. IMO, it's gonna be one of those timeless records...it'll still sound awesome in 10 years...
  22. That isn't exactly saying much is it? I never said it was, but it's gotta count for somethin'...
  23. Hey, I'm heading into the studio on Saturday to finish the bonus track & 1 last song...
  24. There are some cool moments on it, for sure...and it's better than Q2K and Tribe put together...
