  1. But now that I look at the track list, she chose a lot of obscure songs from our genre. Could be good after all. Mos def, it's why Def Leppard's "Yeah!" worked for me. I had never heard most of those tracks before.
  2. Yeah, that is odd. Especially when you consider that Steve Newman post was back in early August. If the album was finished, why wait so long? Even if he just heard unmastered tracks, does it really take 180+ days to get from there to finished product?
  3. Because it's a covers album, it will receive it's share of neglect. However, musically it should be great, considering it's sporting half of Mr. Gieoli's recent line-up--Alessandro Del Vecchio and Anna Portalupi.
  4. XYZ is classic for sure, But I love that Hurricane! Ah, yes. I've been meaning to familiarize myself with XYZ. Where should I start? The beginning? S\T and Hungry are both awesome. You never heard them before? Man, there's a lot of stuff I haven't heard, yet.

  6. I'm more interested in this one.
  7. Beer-tastic !!!!! Well, I got 61 bottles. I was close. Now to wait for three weeks. Hope they're all good.......... I hop theyre all good That's grim. I've provided the redirection service for Wotty, now I'll do the same for you: This is the Interesting Thread, not the Really Lame Corny Joke Thread. Actually, I'm gonna allow it, because I'm brewing an India Pale Ale, so I hope it's really hoppy.
  8. Big Bang Babies - 3 Chords and the Truth Dirty Looks - California Free Ride Dirty Looks - Dirty Looks Dirty Looks - Gasoline Dirty Looks - I.C.U. Dirty Looks - I Want More Helix - The Power of Rock and Roll Helix - Vagabond Bones Roxx - Outlaws, Fools, & Thieves
  9. that's a very weird band name, how's the disc ? I'm loving it! I spun it all day and can't get enough. The only track that might get a skip is "Christine," but everything else is gold. Even the Cindi Lauper cover. "Karina" is my favourite, especially the acoustic version, and "Michelle" and "Marissa" are killer, too. I should clarify that it isn't a disc. Just digital. But it's listed as "name your price," so you can get it for free if, like me, you don't agree with paying for computer files. If these guys press a disc, I'll buy it day one.
  10. Just watched this myself...found it interesting enough to finish, boring enough that I never want to see it again. Really? I was pleasantly surprised with it. I didn't find it boring, and I thought it was well paced. I'm legitimately looking forward to the next one.
  11. Oh, and that name is terrible. USA!USA!USA! is a Google nightmare.
  12. No, offence, bud, but I think you must be stoned. I haven't heard Waltham, but if those 4 tracks are better than anything Waltham's done, then Waltham can't be that great. "Michelle" is fantastic, but the other three are simply okay. However the seven track EP, "What's Your Name?," is phenomenal! I've been playing it all day, non-stop. "Christine" is a little weak, but the rest are incredible, with "Karina" being my favourite. Especially the acoustic version.
  13. Got seven tickets to Joe Bonamassa in April. Next year is looking good already.

  15. Madea's Witness Protection I'd say avoid, unless you're a big Tyler Perry fan. All the humor couldn't make up for the poor acting and mediocre story. Butter Now this was a good film. This one's got a lotta heart. Recommended!
  16. I think I agree with you. This is my least favourite track. But it still kicks ass.
  17. WOW! I don't think Aerosmith is shit, and I don't think these songs are shit, but I feel they could be so much better. There's a lot of potential in these tracks, but they need to clean them up. There's a difference between sounding raw and sounding muddy, and these are just too dirty.
  18. You, my friend, need a beer. Or six.
  19. Downtown is the only song that I don't care for. I f*cking love "Downtown." I think it's a great track to wrap up the album. That's cool. I don't hate the song, but if asked about the weakest track, for me it is Downtown. Honestly, I'd take "Downtown" over "The One and Only." And I realize that may spark an argument with a few folks here.
  20. It's funny, it looks like you say some nice things about the cd, and then pull a Wayne's world. Heh! I thought the same thing. Then read his second post.
