  1. June 2022 ... Not sure if this is another single or the album as no information other than picture and date available.
  2. That would make a lot of sense, and I also seem to remember they played some dates with another drummer covering for him. I think he had the surgery around October, but he had obviously been suffering for a while so makes sense that he would struggle to actually record proper drums for the album, and I doubt they would get a substitute for recorded work as that is vastly different to live work.
  3. A lot of bands had albums delayed during Covid. Any that had outside commitments seem to have been more heavily affected. Kip has a bunch of stuff outside Winger and so does Reb, so sure that has been a factor. Hell, Fozzy just released their most recent album and that was originally supposed to be out in 2020. Sure I remember a social media post fairly recently where it was mentioned that the new Winger album was hopefully getting round to being finished.
  4. Am wondering if has anything to do with Tigertailz having to cancel their show on 20th May at Bully on Rocks in France because both Rob and Berty had covid and were unable to travel, but Rob appeared with Midnite Dynamite a few days later. I know restrictions on travel within UK are different and he may have been clear by then anyway, but I am sure this may have caused friction.
  5. Discovered this band 3 years ago by accident when YouTube randomly recommended the music video to Drive it to you hard, and managed to pick up a cheap copy of the album on CD. Just decided to watch the video again for some random reason and found out guitarist Dave Sciammacco passed away in Feb. RIP Dave. https://deathobits.com/2022/02/22/dave-sciammacco-death-an-incredible-guitar-player-has-died/
  6. Hi everyone, I'd like to clarify a couple of points on the departure of Rob Wylde from Tigertailz. Firstly, Rob was asked to leave the band. I'm not getting into the details of how this came about. But it comes down to honesty & integrity. If you can't trust the people in your band then for me, there is no band. Secondly, can Tigertailz continue? I think this is unlikely. I've given my all to this band for over 35+ years. It's given me some amazing experiences. But it's come at such a high price I question whether it was all worth it. It'll take some time to get over this and see where we go from here. But thank you for all your kind words & support. It means a lot. Jay Pepper x
  7. From FB: Tigertailz · We are sorry to announce Tigertailz has today parted company with Rob Wylde. This has come due to irreconcilable differences. A full statement will be issued soon. I like Rob and his stuff with Midnite City and Teenage Casket Company, but was never a fan of the stuff he did with Tigertailz. Knowing the way Steevi Jaimz & Kim Hooker talk about Jay Pepper, I can imagine this irreconcilable differences could end up being messy with statements from both sides to follow. Nothing bad to say about the band as I like them and they did me a big favour recently, and I have spoken to both Steevi and Kim a few times, and they both seem like good guys, so it's a shame it's a band that seems to garner so much animosity between members over the years.
  8. There were several early EPs (three I think) which I believe may have been self released, and then two albums released by Frontiers, For crying out loud (2016) and Carnival days (2018) then another self released/indy release EP called Vibration I (2020)
  9. Starting to sound like Sonia is a bit of a tinpot dictator: From the bands FB page: - OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT - We announce that we are parting ways with rhythm guitarist Esmée van Sinderen, and - mutually agreed with him - part ways with drummer Léonard Cakolli. This decision was taken due to personal indifferences. Their vision does not align to the band’s and the speed rate that the band is evolving. Being part of a band that just started to grow very fast requires a certain amount of effort, time and sacrifice that not everyone can offer/give with their own priorities and job. Therefor we are obliged to take this decision for the well-being and workflow of the band. We wish them the best in the personal projects and future endeavours and thank them deeply for being part of our epic journey so far! Very big opportunities are coming into our path, and this means COBRA SPELL needs to have a a strong and stable line-up for what is coming. As we mentioned, COBRA SPELL has just started taking off, and all of us in the band are giving 110% of our energy and input to bring this band to the next level. We all share this musical dream and we want to reach it all together. Therefor we are more than ready to bring stability in the band and find 2 new sisters that want to be part of our rocking crew! We are currently looking for a female rhythm guitarist and drummer that share the same passion and mentality to make it far. Are you the one?! Contact us here: cobraspell@gmail.com **Our future activities and plans will not be affected and all the shows and appointments schedule will still run as announced: We will be having the talented Anna Voloshyna as stand-in guitarist for the coming shows! Thank you so much, girl! Léonard will be on the road with us for the coming tour dates, this will be his last shows — so come to the show and let’s give a rocking farewell to Léo! From Esmee's Instagram: In the past few days I have received A LOT of messages from you asking why did I leave Cobra Spell. Well, the first thing I want to be very clear about is that I didn’t leave the band. I’ve been kicked out of it. I got blocked on every Cobra Spell’s social medias. That’s why I couldn’t tell my own story. So I will write it down here. I live for music. I changed my whole life for it and gave everything to play in this band. We all did. To make Sonia’s dream come true. Everyone was working for her without getting any in return. I know that starting a band is really hard, and you should all do it together. But this also means writing the music together, taking decisions together… which we never did. I couldn’t choose the clothes I wanted to wear on stage, or the guitar shape I wanted to shred. It was all chosen by someone else. So at the end we were all session musicians which is fine, but we all worked for free. I really hate to talk about money, but if I’m not able to pay my rent at home because I’m working for free to make someone else's dream a reality, it is going too far for me. I know these are some very harsh words, but the truth is sometimes very tough. And I am a very honest person. I just wanted to make these points clear, since the words on the Cobra Spell page are not mine. Music, cars and guitars will always be a very big part of my life. I loved playing in Cobra Spell, but it’s not healthy to be treated like this. I won’t share all of the details, I think it’s clear enough after 3 members left the band in one month. I wish them best of luck.
  10. While I would disagree with the songs from the first two SR albums being tired and boring, I would still rather hear Erik with H.E.A.T. than Skid Row. As someone who never really cared for the band before Erik joined, it's no surprise him leaving was such a disappointment for me, and I am not expecting big things from H.E.A.T. now but will give them a chance. I am more likely to get into new SR because of Erik and I preferred their new single and did not really think much of the new H.E.A.T one. I would never have gone to see SR with any of the post Bach singers, but I would certainly go now they have Erik. And the fact that he can do the old songs justice is also a prime motivator.
  11. This is one of the biggest irritations I have on YouTube. You see these comments all the time, and most recently saw it on one of the recent Scorpions tracks, and that is the annoying as fuck "They don't make music like this anymore". I always have to point out that there are plenty of artists performing great old school rock or a modern variation of it, but you have to stop being lazy and actually look for it. With the current popularity of social media, YouTube and the likes of Spotify for streaming, it is even easier to find than it has ever been. I will always say, just go to the Frontiers YouTube channel for starters to see not only a load of new bands, but bands or artists from back in the day putting out new music. Hell, I come here from time to time and there are a lot of people on this board who have their finger on the pulse more than me, yet I have still discovered bands that nobody else seems to have found out about (whether they appeal to most here is neither here nor there, it's about how we can all find new music if we make an effort). This whole "they don't make music like this anymore" line is fucked up as these people claim they still wanna listen to this music but then make no effort to seek it out and support the artists. Just imagine how much bigger some of the more popular newer bands like H.E.A.T, Crazy Lixx and Reckless Love could be if these lazy arse moaners made an effort.
  12. No I am not joking. You do realise Steeples exists outside nursery rhymes? I don't hear those lyrics in the song at all, you just seem to be picking the song apart for no reason.
  13. Eh? Where is the nursery rhyme in this song?
  14. Hmm, surprised people are still writing articles about this as it's been known for years why Japanese versions have extra tracks. Hell even back in the 90s magazines would write articles on this. What is pretty shit these days though is especially on Frontiers releases, the "bonus" tracks are basically just reworkings of songs already on the album (acoustic, piano, instrumental etc). Just a few years ago I was buying more and more Jap imports for the bonus tracks, including quite a few Frontiers releases, but over the last year or two I have just been buying the standard Euro or US releases as I could not care less about paying extra for a song I already own, in a format that I probably won't like as much. Only Jap imports I tend to buy these days are ones that are only released in Japan. With the extra cost of the CDs themselves, overpriced postage costs and potential import duty I want at least two entirely new songs that are not available elsewhere.
  15. I would say though that I am a big fan of Erik, so I hope for his sake it works out for him. And for me, more music featuring Erik is a good thing, even if it is with Douche Bag Central.
  16. I'd have to agree, and it's one of the reasons that despite his well known attitude, I don't even think Seb was 100% guilty in their split, I think those two and maybe Scotti are just as much to blame as Rob Afuso won't work with them either (but has appeared live with Seb). They treated Solinger like shit. Treated Harnell like shit. And now treated Theart like shit. And by the sounds of it, were never man enough to fire them face to face. It took them what, 6 years to even record with him and then kicked him out half way through. I think they only recorded one remake of an older song with Harnell as well. And never did finish their so called trilogy of EPs. Shows a band who really could not give a shit.
  17. I doubt Frontiers care. I mean, they released Quiet Riot albums with not a single original member on. (Frankie was not on the first two albums)
  18. Thunder - Dopamine (signed) Scorpions - Virgin killer Scorpions - Best of rockers and ballads (somehow lost my copy) Scorpions - Love at first sting
  19. Annoys me when bands do this. Promote a album/EP release then announce something like this a week later. They knew this was coming and kept quiet to make sure they got more sales. From FB With a very heavy heart we want to announce that Alexx Panza will be parting ways with COBRA SPELL. You may already saw it coming, since we have been performing with a different singer (Kristina Vega) on the latest shows. Alexx is an incredibly talented singer and a fantastic friend to us, and we love him terribly! He has been there since the beginning. Since COBRA SPELL recently became the main priority for the majority of the band, and Alexx can not commit to the current needs of the band, it is the best decision for both parties to split ways. We thank Alexx deeply for the amazing work he delivered in the band, being part of our 2 EP’s ‘Love Venom’ & ‘Anthems Of The Night’, and for being an awesome as hell falsetto singing maniac, delivering the best of vocal melodies!! Alexx states; "Unfortunately, due to force majeure I can't continue being Cobra Spell singer. I can't escape the fact that a day only has 24h and a week 7 days only, and having a daily job and being in two other bands doesn't leave me enough time that a band like Cobra Spell, with a tight schedule ahead, would deserve. I wish the best of luck to my mates in the Cobra Spell camp and to their new talented singer Kris. Thanking all of you who supported me so far, I invite you to keep following me with my other bands "Jack Starr's Burning Starr", and my main band "HITTEN", where I'll keep channeling all my efforts to deliver you the best Hard'n'Heavy your fine ears deserves. And don't forget to ROCK UNTIL YOU DROP!" It might seem clear already who will be our new singer, but we will make a separate special post for her! We all have huge dreams and aspirations therefor we need to stabilise the line-up with like-minded musicians and this is just for the very best! Alexx will play his last show with us at Headbangers Open Air on the 27/07!
