  1. Cant tell you how excited about this i was.... and how im not anymore...2 of my favourite groups coming together and.. flopping. I still love John's vocals but the songs need to be good for him to shine. They are very bland rock. The Independence Day (Whiteheart cover) and Beyond Belief (Petra cover) are NOWHERE near as good as the originals... and should not have been done. Some tracks like Old Guys Rule are just plain awful. OK, there are a few tracks that are great from what i briefly heard but what a wasted opportunity for something great with the people involved. Theres another guy who sings some lead vocals on the album too... quite a good voice - not sure who it is..

  12. This House is not for sale. Worst album name ever! I stayed on longer than most. Have a nice day was my last album.
  13. That was my first Petra album. On cassette. I love it. I love Loui Weaver's performance on this one. The drums are tight! Personally i love that album, and cant see you into it at all Freddy. It was the last album to feature the main band before young guys were brought into freshen up the image. Its the lesser known brother of Beyond Belief and Unseen Power and gets forgotten alot. There were quite a few eras of Petra and the band often sound completely different... the early Eagles twang, then very early 80s thing going on with Volz, followed by the Def Leppard/Journey esque albums with Schlitt (one of the best screamers in his time), then the "modern rock era"... which had more of a Matchbox 20 vibe? Followed by ripping our balls off with Jeckyll & Hyde. I really have trouble suggesting this band to anyone because they do change alot from album to album.
  14. Hey Geoff... Happ...... yeah
  15. I'd really have to disagree with that. On one hand, I do agree that most those albums are bog average, except Human Zoo and Reckless Love... but in saying that, the Springfield one is worse than bog average - for the most part it's annoying fucked up country shit. I do like some of the songs, but for me the country twang is way, way too overwhelming. I really like RS, but imo this is by far his worst album. I don't understand the country shit and why he suddenly had to include it after all these years. I really despise that shit. Anyway, a few good exemptions (far better than Rick Springfield) are; Grand Slam Chris Antblad New Device Killswitch Engage C.O.P. UK Simple Plan Liking that COP UK?
  16. Hmm it's a decent song but I'm probably not as enthused by it as most others here. It's a fairly basic song. Will check out the album though. Interesting that Rock Candy is putting this out, I can't off the top of my head think of any other non-reissues from them. Euff Znuff Dissonance...
