  1. The last release that I liked by these guys was Clayman but my tastes have changed considerably in the intervening years so your take on this new release has me intrigued...I may have to check it out... Yeah they properly started down the modern metal route (and away from their previous melodic death metal sound)with stuff like "Come Clarity" and the vocals were all-over-the-place with screaming one minute and clean-vocs the next. "A Sense of Purpose" was a bit patchy too, but - if you forget this is IN FLAMES with their history - and just focus on the music then you should enjoy. "Deliver Us" is KILLER. I remember being disappointed when they first started moving in a more modern/commercial direction. However I don't listen to death metal anymore and I think I would have to be wasted to listen to Clayman today. But I do still enjoy heavy metal so I'll have to check some samples at least of this new one...

  3. Just saw a very interesting upcoming release listed at Musicbuymail.... 08.07.11 HUMAN ZOO Eyes Of The Stranger
  4. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Have you ever wondered if the bills in your wallet were ever in a stripper's butt crack? If not, you're wondering now. Have a nice day... So folks, always remember to wash your hands after handling money
  5. True Grit (2010)......decent remake but nothing compared to the original....really don't understand all the hoopla over this one. The Rooster Cogburn character is a great character to build a movie around and IMO it's too bad they couldn't write an original script for him as Jeff Bridges did a good job in the roll. Instead I found myself comparing every scene to the original movie and found most of them wanting...
  6. This is described as melodic metal but MM and hard rock are pretty close for me....This one song/video sounds quite good to these ears... http://musicbuymail.eu/?i=34221
  7. I thought about getting a tattoo a lot when I was younger but in the end I couldn't decide on what would work for me and I didn't take the plunge.....today I'm very glad I didn't get one...
  8. A lot of love for Winger-Pull on here.....while I like it, the best rating I could give it would be 80%...In The Heart of The Young on the other hand would be closer to 90%.....
  9. Being a huge Last Autumn's Dream fan I'd love to see their 2nd release get remastered....probably have to re-record it actually since the production is so bad I can't stand listening to it...
  10. Battle Los Angeles .....really enjoyed this invasion movie...Hoorah!
  11. It's difficult to put myself in your shoes so this is my personal point of view. If my dad had been an abusive sob I'd have a hard time forgiving him. That said this is more about what's right for you not for him. If he is personally reaching out then I don't think I'd turn away as that would be something that I might question myself on for a long time. However if as you've said he doesn't know anything about this then I'd say wait until he makes the first move. Of course keep in mind this opinion comes from someone who is in no way close to his own family...
  12. I've been waiting since 72 for them to win another cup....and this was a year in which I wasn't expecting them to go very far....but damned if they didn't do it...
  13. Very nice...a definite pick up...the 2nd one that is...
  14. I'd like to see their first 2 CDs reissued as they are way too expensive on eBay...
  15. Y'know, I still haven't seen the 4th "Indy." I bought a used DVD of it late last year but have been gunshy about actually sitting down and watchin' it cuz of all the hate for it. I suppose I'll get to it eventually but I'm in no hurry... I liked the 4th movie as much as I did the 2nd movie which was my least favorite of the first 3....the 4th is certainly worth watching, although it's nowhere near as good as the 1st...
  16. Available at CDBaby for $9.99.....
  17. CDBaby has it for $12.97....for those interested...sounds decent and I may pick it up...
  18. Mudslick is the hands down winner for me....one of the few releases that I would give a 95% rating to....
  19. If they don't say its a cd-r then it had better be silver pressed....this is the trouble with CDbaby as you always have to ask before ordering if it is silver pressed or not. And they rarely update the ones that are cd-rs...as for Demondoll, with that kind of attitude they can shove their cd-rs where the sun doesn't shine...
  20. Good God ....could they have made it any easier??
  21. Lizhard......S/T Shok Paris...Go For The Throat
