  1. Just get Place Vendome and all will seem right with the world. If it's even half as good as the first album I'll love it.... truth be told..........its better.
  2. Place Vendome - Streets Of Fire Alias - s/t Toto - Turn Back Heartland - s/t Jimi Jamison - Crossroads Moment
  3. Place Vendome - I'd Die For You Mindblowing.
  4. "Battersea" is horrible, utterly tuneless & easily the worst song I've ever heard that Peterik has written. But some of the others are more filler material than being outright awful. 'Make You A Believer' is just stunning - easily the best AOR song of 2008!! The chorus and solo are just mind blowing IMO. As good as AOR gets. That's a mammoth call, young man. I don't think I thought too much of that one... Young man.......I like the sound of that Great song for me - excellent lyrics, chorus, solo, dit dit keys.........what more could you want! I still say, until I am blue in the face, that the title track is way out the best tune on here. Are you blue yet?? I would say that 'Lost' is better too - stunning ballad. & perhaps 'Alive' - I just love that song
  5. Nice, would love to see those Top 5. What about Dare? Yeah I forgot about Dare - UK band as well. A good shout for headliner I bet.
  6. Been having a think about a possible line up.....bearing in mind Kieran said a few UK bands and some possible re-forms FM.........................UK, easy headliner Danger Danger.......new album to promote (plus Ted said see you in 2009) Brother Firetribe......they wanted to play last year but had Nightwish ties Alias.......................re-formed plus Andrew said some shows in 09 Place Vendome.......the guys from PC69 loved it last year. new album Moritz....................UK re-formed Newman.................UK - he was in the crowd last year Edens Curse...........desperate to play last year but got the boot just some thoughts. I'd watch that for sure!
  7. Just get Place Vendome and all will seem right with the world.
  8. A drunk man walks into a bar. He shouts across the bar to a group of lads 'I shagged your mother' The lads ignore him. He shouts again 'Up the arse as well!' They still ignore him. He shouts a third time 'She sucked my nob too' With that one of the lads stands up and shouts back 'Go home Dad youre pissed!'
  9. In the sleepy village of Erbum near the town of Tillet in Hertfordshire lives a woman called Nicola Lykes. She is the landlady of the local pub, The Cock Inn. All her mail is addressed to - Nicola Lykes, The Cock Inn, Erbum, Tillet, Herts
  10. What we've been trying to tell you all along - The Older AOR bands are generally the best ones - 1980 - 1988, pretty much the wonder years. You mean 1984 - 1988, right? Er No - I mean 1980 - 1988. Backed.

    Proper Footie 2008/9

Yeah and you can add the 3rd shite team - fuckin Southend. That goes without saying mate Sadly I cannot argue with you Mind you our history against Man Utd - Played one, won one
  12. You must like 'Life' as well...stunning AOR song.
  13. Jimi Jamison - Crossroads Moment SOTY - In The Wake............. Hartmann - Out In The Cold
  14. I know we've discussed this before, but it always puzzles me why you dont like that first album (the 2nd one is poor I'll admit). No need to reply cos I know what you'll say...it just puzzles me that's all.
  15. The only really great tracks for me are the first and last.......also, does 'I Need Someone' sound like 'Another Night'?? One thing is for sure. Place Vendome destroys it.

  17. Damn this guy knows his shit! Seriously, listening to 'Skyscraper' now and all I can think is why? One - why am I listening to it and Two - why was this released? As I said, I thought the debut was total shit. People say stuff like Poison and Slaughter was the trash of the whole hard rock scene, but to me it was boring, mindless shit like this. These guys and Quireboys could sure whip up a storm. Seriously, I don't mean to be a prick, but what a shit album. I've made it to track 8, skipping after most first verses, but I doubt I'll hear the end of this disc. I've heard a few nice surprises, but this is by far the worst I've heard for a while. Damn you... okay, this song 'Stay' has a decent chorus. Shitty verses, but a pretty cool chorus. Best song so far, but that's no consolation. I actually think the purists out there might find the guitar a bit too "modern" for their liking on this disc, if they're consistent. Why did you bother listening to it - you obviously ignore everything I say. I did say that the 4 new songs they played at Firefest were worthless pieces of shite with no melody or hooks........and that Steve Augeri can no longer sing (official). Hey ho.
  18. Boys Are Back In Town - Lizzy
