  1. Not shabby. Agree with The Geoff that the third song is the best. The most "AORish" of the three.
  2. Umm..... no. Bad vocals + lyrics by Google Translate = Awful.
  3. Great song, and even better video. Love the Chris Farley wannabe. This album is actually much better than I was expecting. Now if only Hammer & Tongs wasn't on the album...
  4. Not too shabby at all. Nothing innovative, but decent sound.
  5. After living with this one for a while, I'm going to go against the prevailing sentiment here: I like this a lot. Sure, Peterik is a fashion twatwaffle and the lyrics are trite, but damn, Scherer can sing. Aurally, this hits all of the sweet spots. P.S. I think that Scherer would be a perfect vocal replacement for Dennis DeYoung in Styx... very similar characteristics.
  6. Holy crap! LOVE that sample! It's like a modern more-AOR version of Electric Light Orchestra.
  7. Damn, these guys sound good live. Just got done listening to the CDs. Shame the video release is just a DVD and not a Blu-Ray. Dead crowd though. P.S. What are a bunch of insurance salesmen and office managers doing on stage performing metal?
  8. The debut was an excellent album and made my honorable mention list. German rockers 21OCTAYNE (feat.members of The Joe Perry Project and Rhapsody) will release their highly-anticipated sophomore album on September 25th (EU) / October 2nd (US). Following the successful debut "Into The Open" from 2014, the band has crafted 10 diverse, powerful rock songs for the new record (3 additional tracks are featured on the ltd. Digipak). Tracklist: 01. Devil In Disguise 02. Take Me Back 03. When You Go 04. Love's Just A Heartbreak Away 05. Take Me Away 06. Lost 07. The Circle 08. Date With Myself 09. Fly Away 10. Tale Of A Broken Child
  9. On the track Alive, the vocalist is a dead ringer for John Schlitt in Beyond Belief-era and later Petra, hence my digging it. Instrumentally, it is considerably heavier than Petra.
  10. Still not sold on the effort, but definitely better than the first POS clip.
  11. Yeah, the vocals kill it for me too, sadly.
  12. Instrumentally it is decent, but the vocalist seems to have limited range and the song itself has no chorus. It shows potential, but they have a ways to go.
  13. Has nothing to do with modern production techniques... it just happens to be a style that you don't personally like, that's all. IMO it is a VERY solid album... but not 100%-worthy. That I don't get at all. I think it likely will reach Honorable Mention status for me, or perhaps the bottom of my Top 5, but it's not even my favoraite album of the first half of 2015.
  14. A new baby Geoffadillo (I think that should be her middle name... seriously ). Congrats!
  15. Haven't seen anyone post about this one yet. Comes out July 24 on Century Media. Guest vocal appearances by Jeff Scott Soto, Elize Ryd (Amaranthe), Jacob Bunton (Adler, Lynam) & Mats Leven (Candlemass, x-Yngwie)! Sounds pretty solid.
  16. Where did you find samples? The US Amazon page doesn't seem to have them. Click on the MP3 option instead of CD. The MP3 page has samples.
  17. Halestorm. Learn it. Live it. Love it. The Pretty Reckless is also a decent choice:
  18. Listened to the first four samples on Amazon... EWW! George Lynch goes grunge. A true "must miss" if there ever was one...
  19. This is actually quite decent. Not innovative by any means, but solid. There's isn't a lot of "traditional", "old school" or "euro power" heavy metal that is female fronted.
  20. Welcome aboard! Stay a while. Please don't feed the Geoffadillo.
  21. I wouldn't go so far as to say "piss poor", but definitely a step backwards. Am thinking of moving this album on the main site to a new band listing called "Not Bonfire" or "The Band Formerly Known As Bonfire" or "Bonfire, Past Tense"...
  22. Actually, Still Not Black Enough was a worthy follow-up to CI, but I agree that the material since was meh.
  23. This band is indeed all over the map stylistically...
