Norway's ESC song starts slow but builds up well, I especially liked the bald guy chanting solo at 2:06!
Sweden's entry is also a nice pop song.
Keiino - Spirit in the Sky (Norway ESC 2019)
John Lundvik - Too Late for Love (ESC Sweden 2019)
Kraftidioten (2014) - this one is going to be remade by Hollywood starring Liam Neeson (Cold Pursuit) . I decided to see the original Norwegian movie with Stellan Skarsgard, and it's pretty good, a vigilante movie. Nice flick
yeah, I expected Peppermint to be better, I was a bit let down...
Equalizer 2 - pretty good, Denzel Washington is like Liam Neeson in Taken
Ant-man and the wasp - I liked the first one, and this one was a fun movie..
those two are German and Swiss bands, and in that case one has to mention Craaft because they're awesome and underrated
also nobody mentioned Bad Habit, also a good Scandi band
hmm I think his vocals are alright. But if other people feel the same way you do, that might explain why Shy was not as popular. Personally I think Shy is one of the most underrated bands out there
love the mix of synthpop with club and electro/freestyle in these tracks... angsty and dark, but yet so danceable
Cause & Effect - Another Minute (1991)
Celebrate the Nun - Unattainable Love (1989)
Information Society - Running (1988)
I think with internet it's easy to find stuff similar to what you already like, even ebay sellers often put related bands in item descriptions.
Above list is good, I can add these 2 Scandinavian bands:
220 Volt (Eye to Eye LP)
Skagarack (Hungry for a game LP)
two of my recent favorites in 80's Europop, addictive tunes, had both on repeat for quite some time. One from Germany and second is from Italy
Secret Lovers - Another minute (1987)
Body Power - Nothing (1986)
good album, good band. I don't think they had much commercial success at the time of release, and I discovered them online just like many other 80's AOR
you think the new Whitesnake is a "definite pickup" and yet you find this average... I guess to each his own, but I think even with weaker vocals any song on this record is better than that new Whitesnake single
