  1. I'm late to this show, watching it on dvd, now up to season 5. Season 4 was awesome. Sex, love, deceit, political corruption, revenge, gays, lesbians, dwarfs, eunuchs, violent action, dragons, knights, witches, the undead..... this show has everything, fun stuff!
  2. Interesting, first time hearing Sort Sol, song has a bit of 90's alternative pop/rock vibe. Looking at discogs, says band has been around since the 80's. band B-Joe (Brian Johansen) is another one I discovered some years ago online B-Joe - Before It's too late B-Joe - White white roses B-Joe - Don't wanna lose you
  3. so what, better to build on a great melody hook than create a new forgettable one... heh heh for some reason listening to United makes me think of D'artagnan and the Three Musketeers, all for one one for all. If they were to make yet another remake, that would be a good tune to use
  4. Tove Lo is modern pop/dance/electro...... but if one is not into that style at all, one might still find her video appealing for other superficial reasons Nice video, I quite like the song too Sweettalk My Heart (2019) Talking Body (2015)
  5. from the more obscure ones, Treat (Get You on the Run) the 1989 version.... maybe too sugar-coated for some, but I love it.... get you on the run, find you all alone......can't help but sing along another one is Mark Free (Dying for your Love)..... awesome chorus, coupled with great vocals, a real corker of a song
  6. lol to upset AlphaMale (and Kanye West) even more, Taylor Swift recently received woman of the decade award from Billboard I am a bit confused about the whole issue with her old label preventing her from performing her earlier songs.... but anyway, here is her performance at American music awards
  7. isn't there something called Christian rap? I am not too familiar with it, but I am surprised nobody listens to at least some of it here... here is one that came up when I typed Christian rap into Youtube search engine: Justus - More than Life ft Sevin
  8. Zokusho is a very solid album and a pleasant listen all throughout... and as someone mentioned already it grows on you... however I think there are no songs on it to match some songs from the first album like "Waiting on a Heartbreak", "Save Me Tonight", "When the Lights" "That's When I'll stop loving you".....just imho
  9. probably not their best, but I still like the new song, a mix of disco and rock, nice comeback to celebrate 40 years of Secret Service Secret Service - Go On (2019)
  10. I just read that singer of pop group Roxette Marie Fredriksson passed away...... very sad, rest in peace
  11. this album hits all the right notes, definitely inspired by classic AOR sound of the likes of Toto, a very pleasant listen
  12. a little surprising that it took Hollywood so long to adapt Hans Christian Andersen's classic Snow Queen....there is an old 1957 Russian/Soviet adaptation of this tale, some others also.... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Snow_Queen_(1957_film)
  13. the lady from Progressive insurance commercials, Flo
  14. I listen to George's music sometimes, especially now around Christmas, I just love Last Christmas. I usually don't pay much attention to lyrics, but I must say George had some interesting ones. People interpret them in amusing ways too. For example, I heard Father Figure many times, but I never viewed it in a creepy way about sex with underage person. However on songmeanings.com some people interpret it that way, certainly talking about "love mistaken for a crime" , and "tiny hand", and preachers kind of gives that idea, lol. I guess only George knows meaning of his songs. Hand to Mouth is also an interesting song from Faith, kind of hard to follow some of the references in it, but messages appear social and political https://songmeanings.com/songs/view/13440/ https://songmeanings.com/songs/view/13443/
  15. nice dreamy synth disco track NINA - Automatic Call (2019)
  16. watched two horror/thriller movies about survival of man versus nature Crawl (2019) - crocodiles versus daughter and father, nice flick 27 Meters Down (Uncaged) (2019) - I think the first one from 2017 was better, but this one is also pretty good, suspenseful and intense
  17. Chernobyl (2019) - very good 5-part HBO mini series, it kept me on the edge the whole time, worried, terrified, saddened. Great story of a nation rising up to battle a nuclear disaster, and initial Soviet government attempt to cover it up. It's a story to be told to remember all who lost their lives and all the brave men and women who were involved in dangerous liquidation efforts.
  18. good tunes, kind of autobiographical song, thanks for sharing!
  19. cult Swedish 80's pop/disco group, their new song is called Go On. I know Mikael Erlandsson was singing with them a few years ago, but that's not him in this clip is it? Secret Service - Go On (2019) live in Saint Petersburg
  20. on Yotube in the video for Another Night, the drummer has become a focus of attention, lol
  21. if you search youtube directly for those songs, they're available nice nu disco/funk, with nice groove and smooth vocals.... and falsetto too
  22. David Foster (Walk Away) - I like this version, but I don't understand why it's under David Foster. The way I understand singer is Warren Wiebe?
  23. nobody mentioned Return and Da Vinci, good bands for fans of 80's rock! I also discovered Dance with a Stranger online, vocals are kind of like Joe Cocker. Format is probably too pop for this site, but there is something quite engaging about their songs Dance with a stranger- Stop looking for love Dance with a Stranger - No more sorrow
