It's a little catchy....but does nothing for me.

I bought Razzle-ology from him......and for a much, much, much lower price than he posted. If I were you, and you want them.....go low....and he will come back with a slightly larger counteroffer. When I get the Razzle-ology, I'll let peeps know what I think.

I liked that tune......good stuff!

I enjoyed it...but it seemed...what's the word...."monotone"..kinda....no real inflection in the vocals or the song? But it was good nonetheless......

Why? There's always the option to ignore it. Exactly... if you think it's gonna be that bad based on others opinions, then don't bother wasting your time (but I bet you'll check it out anyway) , I would say go in with an open mind (if that is now possible) and make your own mind up, after all that's what it's all about. I've listened to it 4 times now and most of it sounds fine to my ears. I went in not expecting 'Pyro' or 'Hysteria' (why the hell should we in this day and age.. people need to get realistic). It's varied, some tracks will appeal to some and not to others and vice versa, and to say it's crap is a million miles off the mark as well imho, but who am I. The same old arguments and opinions for every DL release since 'Adrenalize' and onwards. Like/Dislike whatever. I agree with Jez....those that say it's underwhelming (if people had high expectations that it was going to be return to the halcyon days...well, then that's on YOU) and those that think they haven't produced anything since 1987 are just going to have the same ol' opinion. It's not underwhelming unless you had unrealistic hopes for this album...there are some damn fine tunes on this release.....and, yeah...they experimented slightly.....big fucking deal. People act like if a band experiments or don't conform to exactly the same formula for throughout a release that it sucks. That's their opinion, but I do think then that they're just not capable of enjoying what a band can do outside of their 'box'...and, like Jez said...Like/Dislike...whatever....lol

I'm a huge fan....and, I have the same sentiments in that...where the hell is John and Roger Taylor??!! They always did some danceable stuff.....but they still had that throbbing baseline going through it. They don't sound like a band on this one. I'm at a crossroads on this one. I think there are four or five songs that I genuinely really like....and then some are just too 'modern dance pop' for me. I understand that they made a relevant album in today's musical pop climate....but...to me...today's musical pop climate is so horrible that...well..is that a good thing??!! lol I commented on one of their threads that if I could, I would raise Colin Thurston from the grave to get them to be more themselves. He brought the best out of them.......there are hardly any, if any songs on this release that are epic sounding...Chauffeur....Seventh Stranger....The Man Who Stole a Leopard.....nothing with a lot of inventiveness to me. The rub for me is that I love this band....and with Red Carpet Disaster they pissed me off......and then came back and made amends by giving us All You Need is Now...which is a great album. Now I'm stuck in the middle on this one. Maybe it will grow on me a bit more as I continue to listen. It was also really, really odd that they would have Lindsay Lohan participate on this....I mean...who the hell's idea was that??!! They don't NEED that......it's just odd to me.

What's your take on the new one?? Curious to see what you guys are thinking!

Kristian...I also used to speak to, and trade with, Tim. He lived in Oklahoma and was passionate about the music too. He did have health issues that he was dealing with at times....diabetes maybe?? I'm not too sure what happened to him.....in fact, I wouldn't mind knowing how he's doing as well!!

Seriously.......Dan made a huge point and now I'm going to add how anyone can speak of GREAT vocalists that have a super high register that kill high pitched vocals......none other than Michael Sweet of Stryper......check out the note he hits at 0:59 of this tune. LOL...that's not that bad at all. It's a little brooding.....but still...

It's funny...because I wouldn't be too upset if someone were to 'support' Butch....that probably means he may help write, etc...but not tour or do gigs. But....as soon as Jared said Jesse's voice isn't up to par, well than that made me go.......nooooooooooooooo......his voice was so distinct to their sound, it would piss me off if they couldn't pull that off.

Loved the Pre-Lillian "Stiff" stuff.....and I LOVE Lillian Axe.....well, their last couple of albums are too dreary and downtuned, but the Ron Taylor stuff is superb!!! "The Day that I Met You" might be their best song and it's in my top 100 songs of all time, for sure.

This album is very good. Some of the comments I read and Andrew's review over at melodicrock.com rating it lower than a bunch of albums that aren't even close.....Nelson...**cough cough**......makes me wonder if people aren't giving it a chance. I seriously enjoyed it.......and if people are not giving it a chance based on what others say, then they may very well be missing out.

THAT videos was so great! I loved all of the old footage interspersed among the new.......and I loved that it seems that they are the best of friends and still makin' it happen.

This judgement was in 2012..............his probationary period has ended. Seems he didn't learn his lesson, as it seems Rocktrade was swindled in 2014. He probably is a meth head....or an addict of some kind....wouldn't surprise me.

Well, I'm going to have to listen to more tracks........what is it about the album that people are not liking? Is it that it's not ferociously heavy with lower registered vocals? Or is it that it's too different than Benedictum? Or is it that the melodies, etc. just suck?

I'm totally enjoying your banter with Geoff...but to play devil's advocate, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that people who vote on those things usually like the album and will vote as such. I would think that people that didn't care for it wouldn't even click on the album cover to get to the point of voting....lol So.....I wouldn't say that's a general consensus....but you guys continue, it's totally making me smile!

I agree with Geoff....the organ is just so not needed. I guess he felt to keep some of that 70's pomp sound he needed to include that?! Otherwise, it was pretty good stuff.

Both songs are in the 6 to 7 range for me........they're very sterile middling pop rock songs. Albeit, they do have nice tasty solos.....I'll definitely give them that, but there's no meat to either of the two songs in question. Nothing grabs me. For me, I have to look back and compare them to what was out at that time....and so many albums just slayed this poofy stuff, that I wasn't even bothered to pay much attention. So, my rating back then would have been much lower......lol Then....as I became a collector and dedicated a large portion of my life to this style of music, did I actually buy the album and listen to it in earnest. I remember that was probably the late 90's......and there was so much shit out at that time that you couldn't help but enjoy anything remotely melodic and rock! lol
