  1. Very dark......song's not horrible. The video is fucked up....lol
  2. 23 Views and no replies.......sad, really..... For me, this is definitely in the vein of Thin Lizzy....hell, the singer even had a Gene Simmons vibe goin' on at times. The music is really good.....great tone.....and some nice songs. I like it.....but people need to actually click on the link and listen.....lol I'm sure the way some are around here that the name wasn't something 'cool' to them, so they passed....lol...wouldn't surprise me in the least. Good stuff, Terry....and, please....continue to post good and cool bands. I'm watching and listening! You've turned me on to a bunch so far! Keep rockin'!!
  3. Maybe it was Clutch referring to "Last Train" in the Ballad thread in the Christian Music section of the message board. Location:NC, USA Favorite Band:Black Sabbath, Thin Lizzy,Kiss Favorite CD:Band of Gypsys Posted 23 September 2008 - 05:04 PM Geoff, on Sep 23 2008, 09:00 PM, said: Stunning track. I was in the car listening to it the other night and it shut me and my wife up. We just listened. Or at least I think she shut up. Anyway, all I heard was "Last train".
  4. That band kicks all kinds of ass.....love Confess!!
  5. I remember you mentioning this earlier. About you and your wife driving in silence once this song comes on. There must be a story there, because, while it's a great song, I just don't get the feels from it. Funky......that wouldn't have been me. I don't think my wife has ever heard this song, and there would be no reason for her or I to sit in silence as it played. It has meaning to me, though.... :-)
  6. "In the City" by the Eagles......"'Til the End of My Days" by Fear Not......."Blood on Blood" by Bon Jovi........Hardline "In the Hands of Time"......and many more...lol
  7. These were always my source for bands demos, etc. I have a log of all the bands I contacted and received their demos, etc. from the Rock on the Rise section of Metal Edge. Love seeing these.........it brings back a lot of memories. I still have my collection of Metal Edge magazines, as well. Thanks, Russ!
  8. Yeah, I had the cassette and had it professionally transferred years ago. I may be interested in hearing the 6 bonus tracks though!
  9. Definitely enjoyed that! Some rawkin' tunes, for sure!
  10. Definitely enjoyed that! Looking forward to the album! And, yeah.....definitely a Bowie influence in that last tune!
  11. City Fixx definitely rawks....dude has a slight Taime Down tone to his voice...
  12. This is an excellent tune.....will definitely be checking out the album!
  13. Alessandro Del Vecchio! AGAIN! Is this guy on every second release now!? All his music sounds... the same. I think this damages our genre bringing in the same musos as backing tracks or writers for a variety of other bands. To be honest that Hardline was Alessandro Del Vecchio's best - but it should never have been called Hardline. It sounded nothing like Hardline. This will be basically Poley singing for Lionville / Chasing Violets - pretty much the same lineup as the Kelly Keeling album from last year. It sounded more like Hardline than the other 2 Hardlines did that s for sure! Anyway this should be called "Alessandro Del Vecchio Band .... with Ted Poley" Hes only producing it. Have you listened to the promo vid? Sounds exactly the same as his other 2 solo albums to me? Yeah, I don't get why people miss such obvious things. The Martin brothers have written all the songs for the album (bar one) so what the fuck does it actually matter what Alessandro Del Vecchio is doing here? If Hess and Lesperence wrote a new Harem Scarem album but it was produced by Alessandro Del Vecchio, or he played bass on the album... whatever else... it's still going to sound 100% like Harem Scarem. Listen to the facts, dudes. As far as I can see, Alessandro Del Vecchio has had no input in the song writing, so his involvement should basically be a non-issue. The album will hopefully sound like Vega or Issa's 'Crossfire,' but with Ted Poley on vocals. Sounds like heaven to me. I watched and listened to the Promo Vid.......you ask.."so what the fuck does it matter what Alessandro Del Vecchio is doing here?". Well...according to them, in the video, ADV rearranged bits and pieces of songs....producers change, add and do all kinds of 'fuck' on albums. So, yeah....it COULD matter. We'll just have to see when it comes out what it sounds like...that would be the 'facts'....lol
  14. I bought the CD. The exchange rate made in only $20 total to the U.S. Looking forward to hearing it!
  15. Alessandro Del Vecchio.......great....more keyboard laden wuss rock. His stamp on Hardline and some others is so 'by the book' and just watery. I hated what he did with Hardline and I'm not a huge fan of the guy's output. But....then again, the first Danger Danger was an overproduced poppy hard rock record, as well. I'll buy it.......but I'm not expecting too much. Hopefully, I will be pleasantly surprised.
  16. I enjoyed a bunch of the songs on this record......but, then again, I'm a fan of the Cult from their Pre-Cult and initial Cult tunes. To me their venture into 'mainstream hard rock' was good...but I enjoyed Love the best. This album is pretty good......could have used a bit more upbeat sounds, etc. I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10. Oh....of course Ian Astbury sounds a little like Morrison...that's been the case since they started! lol
  17. Just because I think $400,000.00 is way too expensive for a Lamborghini Aventador doesn't give me the right to steal it. (We now return you to your regularly-scheduled discussion about the new Vain album.) No problems, Mark......I'll take you for a cruise in mine! ** I might even let you drive!** :-)
  18. Icy is also my favorite tune off of No Respect
  19. I think that Beat the Bullet sounds like classic Vain??!! And, yes...I think it'll definitely be worth it. I've been watching and seeing stuff through the Pledge campaign and I've been liking what I'm hearing.
  20. The girl in the video is beautiful.......the song is good. Not Earth shattering, but Tyler's voice sounds strong.....especially for his age, etc. Not sure how much of that is the studio...but, yeah...I liked it.
  21. Are the Record and Tape Traders stores still in existence??
  22. Sweet Fucking Ass......that's what their name refers to. They were from Indiana...Indianapolis, I believe. As for bands that were underrated.........I'm going to assume that the meaning was for underrated means unsigned...and should have been huge. With that being said..... Big Bang Babies Paradise are just a couple of the unsigned ones..... If you were looking at signed artists that should have been bigger from the Strip......I'll go with: Roxy Blue Hardline/Brunette Pretty Boy Floyd Heavy Bones To name a few.... there are literally hundreds of bands that were awesome that went unsigned/unnoticed.....a nice part of my collection of music are all of these bands' albums, demos and CD's....literally 100's.
