Warrior

Pretty good film, as a fan of mixed martial arts, it was good to see realistic fight scenes though the film gets a little cheesy and predictable towards the end.

"Quantum of Solace" (2008)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6acw690AqQ

Daniel Craig's second spin in the 007 tuxedo picks up right where the preceding "Casino Royale" left off. Still seeking revenge after the loss of his beloved Vesper Lynd in "C.R.," Bond travels from Haiti to Austria and finally to Bolivia, where a crooked industrialist has plans to commandeer the South American water supply. As usual, Bond beds a couple of hot women and lots of stuff crashes and blows up.

"Armored" (2009)

Urban "heist" flick with Matt Dillon and Laurence Fishburne as part of a group of disgruntled armored-car security officers who plan to fake a robbery of their own trucks and take off with a huge load of cash. Naturally, things end up going wrong pretty quickly and soon the participants are at each other's throats. Decent (if a bit routine) little thriller.

The Final Destination 5

The usual and extremely gory

I'm planning to watch this in the near future. :) As a fan I don't think I'll be disappointed.

Then you will enjoy it

  • My Little Pony

The Raid

Action-packed from start to finish! This film will have you on the edge of your seat, squirming with every gratiutously violent blow and break. There are many moments where you may have to get up out your seat to fully express your appreciation/disgust/shock/horror. It is a Malaysian film, so it's subtitled, but don't let that hold you back. This is one of the best action films of the last decade. An absolute must watch.

"Fright Night" (2011)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txgGhyjPZGg

Remake/update of the '80s vampire flick follows the same plot as the original - dorky teenager thinks a vampire is living next door, enlists a "vampire hunter" to help him destroy it - but it tweaks & changes things just enough to make it stand on its own and worth a watch. Colin Farrell is a cool vamp and the guy who plays "Peter Vincent" in this one is a hoot.

Watch for a brief cameo by Chris Sarandon, who was the vamp in the original movie!

This Means War

Cronicle

not bad but left about 15 min's into Croncile. It may have been a good movie but I wasn't willing to stay up till after 2am to finish it. It didn't look "that" good.

My wife and I loved this one and we both loved the original too.

Where was Chris Sarandon? Was he one of the cops?

He was the guy who crashed into Charlie & his mom out on the highway and then got chomped by "Jerry."

"The Hangover Part II" (2011)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohF5ZO_zOYU

"The Wolfpack" is back together, and this time they're headed to Thailand, where "Stu" is about to get married. Naturally, things go horribly wrong for our hard-partying friends...again, and they have to delve deep into the seedy heart of Bangkok to set things right. Along the way they encounter Russian mobsters, abusive monks, "Lady Boy" strippers, Interpol agents and a drug dealing monkey.

Yeah, it's simply a re-tread of the first movie set on foreign soil, but the mayhem level is high and the laughs kept coming. Thumbs up.

    • Wow, why go through all that for just lies.
    • Looks like complete bullshit. Look at all of the videos from this channel: https://www.youtube.com/@infogaming786/videos
    • Is this true, I don't see much about it anywhere else?
    • Well they just posted this on Facebook, so I would certainly hope this is a sign a new album is incoming
    • Sounds pretty good all round...just preordered..released 22nd Nov
    • Luckily I will hopefully be front row so wont make a mess on anyones back.
    • If we never hear from you again, at least we'll know you went out with a smile on your face.
    • Wow! Thank you so much mate. That's a massive compliment. That was the first one I wrote and I think it's my favourite so far. Like Geoff, I'm tending to draw on past personal experiences for my lyrics and that one means a lot. I was thrilled when the AI came up with that interpretation.
    • Well this is some excellent news. Going to see Sophie Lloyds first headline show on 17th Oct in London (tiny club called The Underworld) and it has just been announced that the support act will be Chez Kane... can I handle two fit birds peforming on stage or will my heart give out before the show is over?
    • I don't rate or grade albums with any kinda numbering system or percentage. All I do is think which were the albums I enjoyed most, which generally means got played the most (I mean you don't play the worst albums over and over again for months), with memorable songs. Then when it comes to what order they go in. Once again, I just go with what I feel got the most airplay for me over the course of time. Obviously an album released in Jan is gonna potentially have more play time than one released in November, but It's down to longevity as well. If I play an album solidly for a month then move on, it's probably gonna be top 10, but if other albums are still being played regularly 3 or more months after release, those are gonna rank higher. I mean this year Judas Priest was a fairly early release in the year, but I am still playing it now, although  not as often. Then an album like Mick Mars which I loved, but has kinda fallen off my radar in the last six months, will rank a lot lower. I try to not go for recency bias as well even though I have been listening to one album in my top 10 for only a week, but it was such an insantaneous album I know its gonna get heavy play time for the next few months.
