2023 Gold Donors Darkstone Posted December 17, 2022 2023 Gold Donors Report Share Posted December 17, 2022 (edited) Very nice. Thanks for sharing. The original is my favourite "Bonfire" track followed closely by "Never Mind". The clip I posted of "Fantasy" has the same mastering issue that my CD had. The first split second or so is a runover from the previous track "American Nights". Anyone else's copy have the same issue? What a Killer album "Fireworks" is BTW. This is a very worthy effort, but I've gotta go with the original. Edited December 17, 2022 by Darkstone
J.S.M
The new vocalist sounds good in this recording but I bet he can't deliver that live. He uses so much pressure and once he sings without that rasp, the voice gets very thin... not a good technique I'd say.

I always wondered if these were done intentionally, but neither of the transitions really fit together thematically, so I always found it strange. But yes, Fireworks is my favorite Bonfire album. 19 minutes ago, J.S.M said: The new vocalist sounds good in this recording but I bet he can't deliver that live. You can hear spots in the recording where his voice seems like it's on the verge of breaking, which usually means you're singing in an exaggerated way. It's a really good way to damage your voice if you're not careful. While I have no complaints about the difference in production, this version pales in comparison to the original. Claus Lessmann's voice fit the track so perfectly and this new vocalist doesn't sound right. Geoff
lol, do they re-record this song annually? I wonder how many different versions of this song there are, by Bonfire, with a different vocalist. Surely more than half a dozen? Anyway, am I that out of touch, but what happened to the last guy? I liked him. The song sounds good, of course, but you'd have to really mulch it up to wreck a song this good.
