auslander
Who's your favourite supergroup*? Damn Yankees, Mr Big, Bad English, other? *band made up of already successful artists from a variety of other bands.
2023 Gold Donors Darkstone Posted January 2, 2022 2023 Gold Donors Report Share Posted January 2, 2022 The ones you mentioned are right up there. "Shadow King" comes to mind for me when it comes to a true "Supergroup". I think there may be another thread along these same lines where we established that the term is very much over used. Not sure I would class Mr Big as a supergroup. My first thought was Damn Yankees. Slash did some great stuff. Also wouldn't class Sammy Hagar's post VH groups as supergroups. Except Chickenfoot who ironically I don't rate nearly as much as the Wabos etc Sixx AM?

He was certainly the break out member of that group post split up and rightly so.

Doug
Man, seems all we see these days are "supergroups." Gotta make a living, I guess....in no particular order, past or present. Dead Daisies Damn Yankees - I saw them open for Bad Company, and they blew them away. Excellent show, Blades and Shaw were totally able to keep up with Uncle Ted. The End Machine, KXM, Dirty Shirley (pretty much anything George Lynch is involved in) Anything with Myles Kennedy involved Velvet Revolver Smith/Kotzen (not sure a "supergroup") Sixx: A.M. The Circle The Firm British Lion Art of Anarchy Revolution Saints (probably my favorite) WET Sons of Apollo And in a weird way, Whitesnake has sort of become a "supergroup."
