Eagles fire Chip Kelly early to get a lead on obtaining a new coach.

Fast forward.

Eagles only team left without a head coach and all the good candidates are gone. Tom Coughlin chose retirement over coaching the Eagles and even the Browns got someone who wanted to coach there.

The Eagles are officially a dumpster fire... even more so than 2015.

My prediction: 3-13 for the 2016 season.

Funny stuff, but I don't think anything Philly does, aside from Mark Sanchez, will ever compete epically or otherwise with the Bengals game last week and their 25 year run at not winning a post season game.

Good answer. Whenever I think about how fucked the Eagles are I can always say to myself "It could be worse. We could be the Bengals."

Funny again.

I can see that on a bumper sticker or t-shirt.

"The Eagles.!? Well at least we aren't the Bengals".

It's probably going to be Doug Peterson the team isn't that bad off except for quarterback and a corner or two, Chip fucked us on Bradford what the fuck was he thinking and gave up a second round pick.

Time to dredge this thread up. 2016 Eagles season is a complete disaster! Rookie coach, rookie QB... no problem! 3-0 and just destroyed the annointed Superbowl favorite Steelers.

Wait, what?

I am shocked at the complete turnaround from the last two seasons. The Eagles have cohesion thus far and the defense... the DEFENSE is playing lights out. It's like there was a complete team identity transplant.

Carson Wentz is causing mass suicide in Cleveland... bet Browns fans are thrilled that they traded out of the pick and didn't pick that scrub at #2.

And the bonus was getting a #1 and #4 draft pick for Sam Bradford to boot! Although in all fairness, he's playing well for the Vikings. Might end up being a win-win.

It's still very early, but dang...

Yes they looked very good yesterday on both sides of the ball not only scoring big but stopping Ben and Co from creating any offense.

Well well well NY Oiler you must be happy today...

Some good wild card football this weekend except the first game as both teams are of no interest to me and at 4:30 left in the first our first horrific call by the officials on a clear Crabtree catch for a first down.

Anywho:

Saturday:

Oakland @ Houston ~ ever since Houston changed their name to the dumbest team name ever I haven't cared for them and unfortunately with Derek Carr out with the busted leg I think the Texans are favorites. However I will bet on the rookie and say Raiders win.

Detroit @ Seattle ~ for all intents and purposes Seattle should win this game even though they have been playing very inconsistently all year and don't deserve to play any more this year. That said Detroit is equally sketchy but I do like Stafford I just think his team brings him down. Seattle wins.

Sunday:

Miami @ Pittsburgh ~ well this game is already making me tense up with stress. Pittsburgh is on fire as of late with 7 straight wins and of course the division. Miami is without Tannehill and when Pitt last in week 6 in Miami they were without Ben... I will obviously go with Pitt for the win and I think Pittsburgh with the killer B's Ben, Bell and Brown will crush them big. Pittsburgh

NY Giants @ Green Bay ~ hate is a soft word for Eli Manning and the Giants. Manning is a waste and a baby and just a blemish on the NFL, however Aaron Rodgers is also a douche but he is damn good. NY is lucky, Green Bay is player very well so me thinks the Bay will make a mockery of the Giants at home in the frozen tundra. Green Bay for the win.

Of course then those winners go to Dallas, Atlanta, Kansas City and New England next week!

Titans looked good but not enough this year.I like all the home teams to win today and tomorrow.

Well 0 for 1 so far. I know I went opposite the odds but I will say Cook's receivers did him no favors with WAY to many dropped balls and the "officiating" was very very poor. Some momentum and potentially game altering calls made against Oakland throughout.

Up next Seattle and Detroit. Kick off to Detroit as I type...

And Seattle secures a win even though at first it appeared Detroit was going to give them a run.

Whats with Boldin and 2 personal fouls for being a punk and no ejection? Ridiculous.

Posted

Well the Steelers crush Miami and get to go to KC next week.

Seattle goes to Atlanta and Houston goes to their slaughter in New England.

Still underway in GB, so it is up in the air who will go to Dallas.

Giants should be leading this game. That TD catch as the 1st half expired was insane... I guess no one on the Giants knows how to jump.

The Giants went from having a great pass rush in the first half to having no pass rush in the second half. And got their ass handed to them.

    • Well it definitely motivated Spongebob
    • I love motivational hair metal songs, so I figured I'll create a thread for people share them. Here are a few of my favorites: "Don't Surrender" by Mercury   "Overnight Sensation" by Firehouse   "Sweet Victory" by David Glen Eisley and Bob Kulick
    • New album out January 24. From Pride & Joy Music: UK guitarist and songwriter Neil Fraser previously has worked/recorded with the likes of TEN, Rage of Angels/Ged Rylands (Tyketto), Tony Mills (TNT, SHY). Trishula started out as Neil’s solo project back in 2015.    Fraser had previously worked with Welsh vocalist Jason Morgan in the band Rage of Angels, so Jason was Neil’s first choice for lead vocal duties when it came to assembling the band members for Trishula. It took another 4 years of song writing from 2015 before the debut album ‘Scared to breathe’ was released in 2019. Whilst recording the debut, the UK based group were joined by Neil’s long-time friend and MAGNUM keyboard player Rick Benton and bass player Dan Clark from the Rebecca Downes Band. One year after the release of the debut, Trishula released their second album ‘Time waits for no man’ in 2020. It was at this point that Neil Ogden (DEMON) became their new drummer. A third album, ‘We all fall down’, was released in 2022.   The brand new fourth CD is titled ‘Becoming the enemy’ and the first one to be released on the band’s new label Pride & Joy Music.
    • My introduction to the band...way back when
    • Well that took far too long to kick in for me,its ok and he has an amazing voice...just wish he'd get a great song given to him again
    • This one popped up in my rotation today as it does frequently because I fucking love this track.  It contains killer lines like, "From the pale lips of the youth who lay", "After dark is the game I play" and "I hit the sack when the Sun's coming back". I've also added a video of an acoustic performance I came across years ago by some young "buskers", which is AWESOME! I wonder how many of you know this classic from the lines above before clicking on the "hidden content"? I would guess most.
    • Robban Back was their studio drummer
    • 'Still Believe' was my pick from this album. All in all I'd agree it's probably their best in a while. Not great, but not bad.
