Redrum - Victims Of The Circumstances

So intrigued to check this one but sadly this just doesn't work out really well for me.

There are few great moments such as 'You Can't Buy No Hero' - kudos on the awesome chorus on this one; 'Empty Promises' - a very nice power ballad; 'Tear Down The Walls' - melodic and heavy at the same time, great riffs, and probably best track for me here, but mostly are almost average. Some that have potential are 'Scream' - a tense hard rock tune with nice solo but verse/chorus didn't reach the peak; 'Pokerface' is pretty good too, and 'Mother I'm Coming Home' ain't bad at all.

Production is excellent, musicianship is okay with Bormann on vocal, some people might not like his vocal but I'm quite fine with him, it's just the songs aren't really balance, at least 4 average fillers here so replay value is pretty low.

68%

This is a very accurate description, I guess if Borringman puts out some good songs, then he is very good, but this just comes off like a cd full of unmemorable and very basic and average songs, nothing catchy about this disc, from a by the numbers rock CD perspective, this is not a bust, but if your looking for break out killer and awesome songs, this is really not an album for that, but you be the judge.

Yeah, pretty much the same here. I was a little more generous and threw a 71% at it as it was a little better than I anticipated. On the plus side, 'Empty Promises' is about the best song I've heard from Bormann since JH. And 'Tear down the walls' is another great rocker. The opener is weak and the 2nd half of the CD drags a bit, but there are some pretty solid songs here. Nice cover of John Farnham's 'You're the voice' too.

I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone for decent coin, but if it falls in your lap for a few dollars, give it a go.

I'll admit I do like both those songs, standard as they are. I expect this album will be exactly what we all expect of it, but I hope it's a bit better than normal. It's a nice start...

    • FRONTIERS EXPANSION, NEW LABEL IMPRINT AND MAJOR SIGNING NEWS! A special message from Serafino Perugino, President of Frontiers Label Group: Dear friends, I am thrilled to announce the creation of Frontiers Label Group, which will umbrella Frontiers Music Srl and further labels, the first of which is our new imprint FLG. This expansion allows us to diversify and strengthen our position in the rock and metal landscape, while continuing to uphold the values that have guided us since the beginning. While Frontiers Music Srl remains home to melodic rock, hard rock, and metal artists, FLG will be dedicated to pushing the boundaries of rock and alternative music. This bold step marks our continued evolution as a leader in the rock and metal genres, and it is with immense pride that we welcome rock icons Skunk Anansie to the FLG family as the first signing to our new imprint. The signing of Skunk Anansie is a meaningful moment in the history of Frontiers, an important landmark in our development as one of the leading international rock and metal labels. This is only the beginning! We are excited to bring more news and announcements in the coming months as we continue to grow and expand Frontiers Label Group, our imprints and our roster of incredible artists. Thank you for your continued support as we embark on this exciting new journey together! Long Live Rock n’ Roll!! Serafino

    • Added Framing the Red over on the main site recently: Framing the Red discography reference list of music CDs. Heavy Harmonies Their website: Framing The Red Their Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/framingtheredband Their YouTube channel: (23) Framing the Red Official Page - YouTube They have four releases, and all are quite good in my opinion. If I had to describe them, I'd say this is what Gunshine would sound like if they went in a more southern rock direction.  Here are some of my favorite tracks... Crossroads   Whiskey & Weed   Holy Water   Mississippi Hippie   Heroes   Bonnie & Clyde   Rockin' Into the Night (38 Special cover)   "Crossroads" and "Heroes" are probably my two faves.  *I will give a word of warning:  if you decide to purchase any of their discs, they are barebones releases with just the CD in a cardboard slipcase. I enjoy the music enough that that's not an issue for me though.  @lettard @KarpetRydOFunk @tts42572 @AlphaMale @Dead Planet @Mr.AOR @tobi is an animal I think all of you gentlemen should give these guys a listen and see what you think.

    • Saw these guys first time a couple of years ago, when they were 16-17 years old, they are absolutely awesome. They have been touring for a few years now, performing their own songs, yet haven't released anything, until now. I have tickets to see them this saturday, opening for Mercenary. First single and video:
    • I want to compile quite an extensive playlist of hard rock songs that has a key change in the end. Why? Cause I think it sounds awesome Some well known exambles are: Bon Jovi - Living On a Prayer Wig Wam - In My Dreams Danger Danger - Don't Blame it on Love H.E.A.T - Beg Beg Beg
