I would say the Monday Night theme is a positive if younger kids pull out whatever devise they have and poke around a bit to find out more about the song. Who knows it may help some younger folk discover some pretty good music.

 

Being a fan of The Blackhearts I kind of dig the idea of them using the song. Since Joan personally owns the rights to all of her songs I'm sure it pays some bills for her.

Funny you bring this up as I just schooled my sprites after last Sundays game on how cool the original version of this song is and we toured a good many Joan Jett classics...my daughter is now a big fan!

Yesterday at work, at young kid maybe 21 or 22 was at my counter and the Who's "Who are You" was playing on the radio and the kid says cool the opening song for CSI. I say yeah, it is the Who. He looks at me like I have three heads and didn't have a clue what I was talking about. I mean he was young, but how in the hell can you not know the WHO...
