Excellent stuff, i second that Glen,

i hear Giant, Night Ranger, and Slamer elements inside with a very good voice and songwriting aspect, AOR fans will have to buy this!

Got in a sneaky listen of this one. I'd call it good, kind of on par with the last few Newman albums, maybe not quite as good as them, especially 'Art of balance.' But there were a couple of very impressive songs like 'Better man' and 'Takin' me down.'

 

Not sure this one will turn too many heads, but it's a solid one.

just listen to this again couple days ago, and it's getting better and better. But somehow you need to find a specific mood for this one, probably because the songs are varied, some are in fast tempo and some are really slow.

 

IMHO, this one is slightly better than 'Art of Balance'

I agree with Nightrain here, this Big Life disc betters the last few Newman studio outputs.

I do wonder why this hasn't happened before as the singer here was supplying Newman with backing vox & guitars on those early albums.

The first 3 or 4 songs are excellent but then it tails off in my opinion.
