A friend in NEW YORK record three songs back in 1986 on the FINGERS METAL SHOP on the radio the songs were called

1. NEW YORK CITY OUTLAW

2. I WANNA KNOW

2. YOU'LL NEVER SEE ME CRY

 

Need to know who this band is and if the music is available on cd

If I had to take a shot in the dark, I'd say that "You'll Never See Me Cry" is Fierce Heart (1985) with "Never Gonna Cry" killer tune that could be the song you're looking for.
