I only really liked their first two albums, never bothered with anything past them.. Man I wish they made a video for their version of Hard to Handle....

Great band especially the first 2 albums but the other stuff was good too.

 

And they did make a video for Hard to Handle, MTV played the hell out of it.

Yeah, to be honest that was news to me when I saw it in those above posts... but at least it makes sense now.

Saw these guys open for Aerosmith back on the PUMP tour -- the S/T and SOUTHERN HARMONY AND MUSICAL COMPANION albums are great stuff that I really need to upgrade to CD one of these days. Never followed'em past those two discs tho.

Yeah, to be honest that was news to me when I saw it in those above posts... but at least it makes sense now.

 

That was news to me too. My favorite song from them is that cover as well haha. It's that prechorus "rap" and brief-worded chorus that makes it unique...if my memory serves me correct.

Never really got into them to be honest. I like the odd song here and there, but I must admit, I don't even own 1 single disc of theirs. I even saw them live at the Glastonbury festival back in the mid 90's and they bored the hell out of me. If I listen to the Southern Bluesy stuff, I go more the traditional Skynyrd, Hatchet, Blackfoot etc route, who are way way ahead of these guys imo and much more my cup of tea.

and this little song from Third Day. I guess from what I've heard the two bands use to play the same places in the south and this song is written to the Black Crowes.
