Random music tracks, part 1.

Got around to putting a bunch of random stuff from my collection (past and present) on a portable hard drive so I would have some new listening at the office. Loaded all 50GB into Windows Media Player and hit shuffle.

 

I'm running into a few tracks that I'd forgotten about, or flat out never heard before.

 

I thought it would be fun to occasionally post a track here for folks to check out, have you guess who it is, and post your thoughts pro or con about the tune(s).

As for the song, Cherry Bombz sounds like a solid guess to me.

I got about a minute into track 1 and had to bail. That voice was like fingernails on a chalkboard and I found the lyrics were kind of juvenile. No offense.

 

Gawd - track 2 starts out with a really cheesy intro, and at the end of verse 1, there's a Michael Jacksonesque "Owwwww!!!". I just couldn't go on any farther. Granted, I prefer much heavier stuff, so maybe I'm not the best choice to critique these tracks. As an opinionated asshole, I tend to rub people the wrong way with my two cents.

I'm confused now. Isn't there a dude singing for Krystal? I have that disc and I swore it was a dude. I need to do some serious re-listening tonight.

I have to agree with this 100%. I don't mind some cheesy stuff, but holy f*ck! Waaaay too cheesy 80's pop for me. Sounds like a theme song to some horrid 80's teen movie with nerds perving on sexy girls in the shower or something.

I really like track 2. Very 80's sounding and I'm no stranger to the music from the 80's. But I got no clue who this is.... So Dan enlighten us, who is it?

It's one for all the April Wine completists. It's from Greenway - Serious Business from 1988.
