Whatever happened to ON THE RISE?

Recommended Posts

The debut was amazing. Is the news of a new album current? As far as I know they split up a long time ago. One of the vocalists - Bennech Lyngboe went on to do the Main Attraction album:

... and the other guys, Terje Eide contributed his voice to one track on Ambition's disc:

Both released in 2006. Not sure what they're doing now though.

I heard they split a long while back like Geoff says.

Yep, that's what I heard, too. They split pretty soon after their awesome debut. Pity !! :crying:

New album, 'Dream Zone' due on the 4th of December.

Got a sneaky listen this morning and I have to say I was disappointed. I completely did not expect this and had no idea they were back together and planning to record, so I was pleasantly surprised to find out about this, but sadly it didn't quite deliver.

Hopefully it takes a few spins to gel, but I don't know, just seemed pretty average to me. Nothing at all like their excellent debut.

Track list:

Lifeline;

Lost Your Track;

Dream Zone;

Edellyn;

Alive;

In the Line of Fire;

Get Out of Here;

Fly Away;

No Time To Lose;

Why Wait Another Day;

Tomorrow Never Dies;

Howling at The Moon,

Find a Way (bonus track).

first one bored the pants off me......not sure why. just didnt click.

Yeah I never got too excited either. It's a pretty enjoyable listen, but just didn't have enough big hooks so I barely played it. I'd probably skip this, especially with a Spin Gallery disc on the way...

Spin Gallery? Who are those clowns? Is that the same style music as this? Do I need to hear them? I always thought they were some proggy band or something.

The Spin Gallery debut 'Standing Tall' Destroyed On The Rise with ease. Top class Westcoast/AOR with Tommy D.
