  1. Wow, a fuckin dollar? Nice man! 1/2 Priced Books is a great source for cheapies! I know that. The last time I saw one when I was still driving through Madison, WI, I immediately made a quick left turn. I didn't know that there was a 1/2 Priced Books in that strip mall that I always passed by. (Yeah, I'm that stupid idiot who made a quick left turn in front of you!) Got some good titles from that store, also my copy of The Sound of the Beast book.
  2. One of those artists that I strongly believe should be here.
  3. from a very fruitful trip from Calgary: RAYMOND MAY - Unadulterated Addiction KING'S X - Out of the Silent Planet63 NO SWEAT - S/T (up for trade) and DADDY DYNAMITE - Lookin' for Trouble (up for trade)
  4. I've found several goodies at Value Village but not that often. It's not bad to drop by every now and then.
  5. I LOOOOOVE this book. I have the original cover. If you thought you know heavy metal, wait til you read this.
  6. STRYPER - The Yellow and Black Attack Sealed - but in full price:-( VINNIE MOORE - Mind's Eye
  7. from a Salvation Army thrift store: BUCKCHERRY - S/T FOUR HORSEMEN - Nobody Said It Was Easy
  8. Well, I'm guilty of the opposite. Though, I don't and won't slag anybody at tbe comments section I think I have to "counter" the review left by former forum member Rafo Phoenix on the CD SUNSET STRIP - Strippin' Time. I left that comment with the intention of warning anyone of this horrendous, sorry piece of crap. If you think that BOGEYMEN - There is no such thing and WARPIPES - Holes in the Heavens are the worst CDs listed in the HH data base, you better hear this Sunset Strip. And Rafo left a good rating on that shit: 80/100 with the comment "Good Glam Rock/MHR...". I don't know if his taste in music is as low as a midget or if he ever heard that CD at all. If you rely on the comments left here in HH in deciding on how to spend your hard-earned $50-$120 on hard-to-find CDs and read that review, you're screwed.
  9. Same here. Though I use to have their Cool, Calm and Collected and enjoyed it very much, I don't know if I can get through the whole cd.
  10. from a thrift store where I have to carry several boxes of cds, go through each one and frantically checking each one because they're wrapped in thick plastic: SILOAM - Sweet Destiny ($2.10 - MINT, MINT, MINT)
  11. MR. BIG - Bump Ahead. Not a perfect album but still holding on to what we love about the 80s AEROSMITH - Get a Grip - I enjoyed this ENUFF Z'NUFF - Animals... Also a good one. POISON - Native Tongue - for me this can stand against any grunge. A very mature effort for a mere "glam" band but has some excellent music.
  12. That was the best description anyone could ever give to what they are selling in eBay or anywhere else;-) Still he got 10 bids for that shit record collection of crap music!
  13. Yes, I like his style. And I may make alot of enemies with this one, but I would rather listen and watch Bonamassa than Stevie Ray Vaughn. Though his style is blues, I just recently saw Bonamassa's name in a poll for favorite shredder.
  14. I'll take two bags of that JUSSIPUSSI and one Slap Ya Mama please.
  15. Yeah it's funny alright. But who do you think is the target audience? Do you think it's US? Noooooooooo!
  16. I AM VERY, VERY JEALOUS. This is exactly what I wanted for son. I never realized my "rock-n'-roll" dream so, I am hoping that my son will. He was able to play everything that he learned from his lessons in music but with, of all instruments - a recorder. Not so rock n'roll. But I hope he'll learn this summer how to play the guitar.
  17. I've been inactive here in heavy harmonies for so long that I didn't learn about this since last night. I just cannot believe it. I was hoping that he'll get back to me whether he was able to listen to the music that I uploaded in megaupload. He was the one who taught me to do it. When I told him about this band that has the most terrible sound (so terrible that the Rip Tide reissue of Fate's debut sounds like a million dollar), he got very interested. I promised him to send him a CDR but he told me to just upload it and then taught me how. This is very sad.
  18. Really? When I heard this song in Radioio eclectic I thought this is good and the whole album won't be a waste of money.
  19. Finally, I was able to buy CDs again! FIRE ROOSTER - S/T (half alternative sounding rock, half awesome 80s style hard rock) I, NAPOLEON - S/T (2nd copy - if anyone is interested) MISTREATED - Streetcorner Serenade MOTION - S/T (Quebec Westcoast AOR)
  20. Oh my! I totally forgot about Metal Treasures. It used to be one of most helpful site for me in knowing what to look for. Thanks for reminding me again.
  21. Is this one rare now? I've seen that plenty of times through the years but always assumed it was still pretty common. Wow mate, passing up on any "hair metal" CD for a few US cents personally blows me away. Especially one that isn't a common Poison, Bon Jovi or Motley Crue one. Even for a few cents I think I'd pick bands like that up, just in case. No. Absolutely no Poison, Bon Jovi, Motley Crue. These are what I was looking for because at that time, these famous bands are all I knew. But on that sale, all they got were "unknowns" like Tindrum. Probably at that time, if I saw a Da Vinci or Nasty Idols I'll pass them up.
  22. Now, how do I begin this? How about passing on an original pressing of FRANCE - Lay it on Me because the front insert has alot (and I mean ALOT) of writings. And 1st Avenue's Tears and Triumph for about a couple of cents US (this was in the Philippines). These (there were more than 10!) 1st Avenue CDs were sealed/brand new. I got one Tindrum's Cool, Calm and Collected for the same price like that of 1st Avenue. If I only knew that I can trade them, I could have bought at least 10. I'm pretty sure there were still other hair band CDs there that I passed on at this particular time because I still don't know any of them. And these 1st Avenue and Tindrum were sold in a local (Philippine) record company's office. They had a big sale and I went out of my way to search for that building. The Tindrum CD was Zero (Japan) pressing. I remember choosing between a RIOT "Born in America" and LION's "Trouble in Angel City". I chose Riot. Tony Palacios' "Epic Tales of Whoa" in a thrift store. Love/Hate - Black Out in the Red Room TWICE. The second time I came across it, the front insert has some water damage. The first time - I was just stupid. Icon - Night of the Crime. Because I was saving my money.

I feel like I'm not welcome here:-)
  24. I saw this in WalMart and never thought of buying it. Now that I read some good things about this one, I'll probably pick it up.
  25. Yes, I also saw this Oxido auction. I bet the winner didn't see the description (not silver pressed). And it's for $81!
