  1. Nice topic mate. I guess it had to be done. I've gone with "The Defiants" at the moment, but yeah..... i reserve the right to review my vote later in the year. Close call though.
  2. "Broken Wings" and "Kyrie" are still popular and receive a huge amount of radio airplay even today. This track never gets a mention, but it's just as good, if not better. IMO. https://youtu.be/jhL04x4owp4
  3. I love David Readman's voice (when he's not trying too hard to sound like Coverdale). These albums are great.
  4. This one always takes me back to the 80s. For some reason, i was always mesmerized watching this clip as a youngster.
  5. Top song mate. I remember hearing it all the time at work on the radio when it was first released. Incredibly catchy.
  6. Listening to both albums today. I love these guys. Went with this one.
  7. I stupidly got rid of this album 20 years ago and have always regretted it. Was lucky enough to pick it up again a couple of days ago. Mike Reno lead vocals and Neal Schon on guitar amongst others. Top quality AOR. https://youtu.be/gOd0e8pU-Zw
  8. Had a couple of spins and it's just a pleasure to listen to. As with most Scandi bands, the production is awesome. Probably been favoring "The Defiants" play wise at the moment, but it's hard to pick which one i prefer.
  9. Quality stuff! You'd expect nothing less from these guys. "Save me tonight", "Waiting on a heartbreak" and "When the lights go down" are standing out for me at the moment, but the whole album is superb. The only track i could take or leave is "Lil' Miss rock n' roll", but it's growing on me each listen.
  10. This song and clip are the epitome of cool. You couldn't get a simpler, shorter guitar solo (Jimmy Vaughan) but it's perfect.
  11. All this talk of Danger Danger brings these guys to mind. Always reminded me of early D2. The first album is a huge sentimental favorite, the second album was average, then oblivion. It's a shame. It makes you appreciate even more the guys from D2, Treat, etc, for being better than ever all these years later. I love the fact that new releases from these bands can generate so much excitement from true fans. Love this track.
  12. Ha, yeah I watched this the other day....to be fair I enjoyed it even tho is was ridiculous....and you are right, Alexandra Daddario is one hot cookie. Actually I've just noticed that she is in the new Baywatch film due next year. That is one excellent reason to watch it Yep, sounds like the best movie of 2017 has been sorted already. if i'm not mistaken, she also appeared in the first season of True Detective topless in one episode, forgot which one but a good reason to catch that show dude Certainly a great reason. I enjoy watching those Percy Jackson films with the kids as she is all over them. Top on unfortunately but still watchable. Yeah, I don't know what 'True Detective' is, but I want to know. Asaper than later. Just checked out her topless pics. OH.....MY......DEAR.....GOD!!!

    Women

According to recent stats. Apparently marriage is the number one cause of divorce in the world today.

Women, can't live with 'em..............that's all.
  15. Easily my favorite "Quiet Riot" song.
  16. I love all three of these guys albums. Although Carsten Schultz's voice can be hit and miss at times (i didn't think much of his CLSS album), i think he nails it with these boys. Obvious comparisons to Michael Borrman, but i think overall his voice is better than Borrman's. It seems more polished and not quite as forced. Could have chosen several from this album. Went with this one.
  17. It's a good one. I'ts actually an image of him holding the cover with an image of him holding the cover with an image of him holding the cover with an image of him holding........... you get the idea.
  18. Great to see him working with Trond Holter again. I like the diversity of the tracks and the fact he doesn't go with safe choices for his covers. His past versions of "Ride like the wind"(Christopher Cross) and "Run to you"(Bryan Adams) were brilliant. Thrilled to hear about the upcoming album in early '17. I don't mind the fact that he's released another Dio track, but i do wonder why he's re-released "Stormbringer" when according to his press release he had over 40 songs that he had to whittle down. Thanks for posting Stefan! You should be getting a promoters fee from all these artists. You do a great job of keeping us all informed. Thanks again.
  19. Had this one pumping in the car today. One of the worst album covers ever.
  20. Can't wait for the Jorn album. Yes...there are some interesting choices, but i'm curious to hear his interpretation. He rarely disappoints. Is track one the song by "Frida" from "ABBA"?
  21. I was wondering how the new "Point Break" stacked up. The original is a classic. I can't believe how old it is now. Seems like only yesterday.
