  2. Spot on.When you think how emotional some songs can make you, you can only imagine how he must feel when he performs this one.
  3. Trying to forget. Here's another reference only the Aussies will understand, I was actually in the crowd for the infamous Bound for Glory AFL "Batmobile" performance. I think i did cry a little bit.
  4. Yeah, i know. That thing that worries me is the fact that these tracks must be considered highlights to be featured as "teasers".
  5. I'm getting mid 90s flashbacks when i listen to these tracks and that's not good. I honestly don't know what he's thinking. It's JSS, so i'm obligated to get it, but c'mon Jeff you're killin' me mate.
  6. As far as i'm aware, these guys only released an EP. Shame. I love anything Robert Mason does. I couldn't resist. Had to post this one as well.
  7. A glimpse into the future, perhaps? It's not terrible.
  8. An instrumental track thought of as a tearjerker? It's all about context. I remember reading in the liner notes of "The sky is crying", that Stevie Ray's brother Jimmy always teared up when he heard this track. At certain points throughout the song you can actually hear the hum of his amplifier. Jimmy said that if he closed his eyes he could imagine his brother was in the room with him. Touching stuff. BTW i love this song. It's been done many times, but my favorite versions are the original, of course, this and the Skid Row version which absolutely kicks ass!
  9. This album always transports me back to the glory days. Wild, Young and Crazy + Too Late and this track are my go to songs on this one.
  10. I'd still give her one. Hey, it's Doro.
  11. Really love this album. It was a toss up between this and "Hells Kitchen", but this is such a beautiful song i had to go with this one. The whole album has a bit of a countryish style i feel.
  12. They're only about one member away from being a tribute band themselves!
  13. Just heard on the Aussie Today show that Axl Rose is rumored to be the new singer of ACDC. Apparently the band has neither confirmed nor denied. If they have to replace BJ then i actually think he'd be a great fit. Thoughts?
  14. "Here comes trouble". Great choice mate! I had it on a compilation cassette back in the day that also featured "next to you" by "Hurricane". I can't remember the name of the tape, but i do remember falling in love with this song and it took me absolutely forever to finally get my hands on the album.
  15. Just rewatched "Rad", although it was released in Australia as "Helltrack" for some reason. Great AOR soundtrack featuring Australia's "John Farnham". "Stan Bush" and "Lionville" do great versions of this one. https://youtu.be/L7qUKam5200 It also features another great Aussie song, Real Life - Send me an Angel.
  16. Love GusG's stuff. This one's chorus is very catchy.
  17. Great choice!I love that album, especially "Troublemaker" and "Child of the city". First heard Troublemaker on the "Hellraiser III" soundtrack also featuring House of Lords.
  18. I hadn't heard the Slade one before, but bloody hell it's almost identical. The dates would suggest that Whitesnake was first. Whoever was first must have been pretty pissed when they heard the other one. I'll never doubt you again Karpet.6 https://youtu.be/3QlEv2oVTWs
  19. That's unbelievable! Good example mate. The great white intro was also a bit cheeky. Are we sure Whitesnake didn't take inspiration from the original? It's a bit blurry, but i think the date says 1991, so i don't think so.The Coldplay one is fairly recent. From memory i think joe may have Taken legal action on that one. I'm sure i can remember Chris Martin making a publc statement about it.
  20. Put this on for the first time in a very long time. I forgot how great this track is.
  21. Slightly off topic (sorry). I haven't seen this yet, only the trailer, but does anybody else think this looks absolutely hilarious?
  22. That's not too bad, but generally i can't stand cookie monster songs at all (that's a great term btw). Just thought the OP concept was amusing, in practice.
  23. That's a great song mate.I haven't really given The Poodles much of a listen. I might have to start.
  24. Came across this on youtube and thought it might appeal to the members with munchkins. https://youtu.be/r7ZnOlVD3Ds
