  1. Only Aussies will be familiar with this one. It was a huge disappointment at the time. During the 70s "Skyhooks" was a massive Australian band. Pure Glam/Pop, although they could be quite edgy at times. I think they may have had a couple of songs banned. The first four clips are from the mid 70s when they were in their prime. However, in 1990 they reunited for an eagerly anticipated comeback album and tour. The final clip is the single (Jukebox in Siberia) from that album. It was very, very bad.
  2. Yeah, it's not a bad album. The problem with comebacks or reunions is that expectations are high, sometimes maybe too high.
  3. They've done well with this concept. I really enjoy seeing which track they do next. I called this one BTW.
  4. Sadly, it's a very common thing. I know it must be hard to recapture the early magic, but I think a lot of these comebacks are just cash grabs unfortunately. Off the top of my head, Steelheart, Riverdogs, Giant, Lynch Mob , Tyketto, Hericane Alice, to name a few. Although, the recent "Hittman" album shows that they can sometimes be a triumph.
  5. Um, if you've been vaccinated, what would wearing a mask be protecting other people from?
  6. Unruly Child - Do You Ever Think of Me. Unruly Child - Forever × 2. "Unruly Child" is Marcie Free's baby, but the "Waiting for the Sun" album featuring Kelly Hansen is an absolute killer. I've posted both Kelly's and Marcie's version of "Forever". Production aside, I don't know which one is better.
  7. Bear in mind, the iguana is a hatchling. Been on this Planet for about a minute. What a wonderful World we live in.

    Corona

Being in hospital over Christmas and New Years is rough. Take care mate.
  9. Witness - Show Me What You Got. Witness - When it Comes From the Heart. Here's two from a beyond killer album! Female Fronted Melodic Hard Rock at it's best from '88.
  10. It's got absolutely nothing to do with Trump or this particular vaccine. In my case anyway.
  11. I don't see it. I felt that when it came to Trump/Biden, the board was split pretty much down the middle. With the vaccine however, I've noticed more of us are Anti vax than Pro vax.
  12. I agree with George and Jeff.
  13. There are many different artists from many different genres that I love. I wouldn't call them guilty pleasures. I know what you mean though. Rap was new at the time and these guys weren't afraid to embrace the guitar. I've mentioned it before, but my first concert was RUN-DMC. 1987. I know KarpetRydOFunk will be amazed, but these guys were a big part of my childhood.
  14. On a side note. Does anyone remember when Rick Savage developed Bell's Palsy?
  15. Yes, I agree 100% that all medications have possible side effects. As Glen pointed out, even relatively harmless drugs like Paracetamol, Aspirin, etc. The big difference is that their side effects are KNOWN and were discovered after many years of rigorous trials and testing. I know we don't have the luxury of time with this virus, but that still doesn't discount the fact that it's a big risk.
  16. Steelhouse Lane - The Nightmare Begins. It's not the only track Mike Slamer has repurposed for Steelhouse Lane.
  17. Yeah, Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
  18. I've posted this one before. I know it sounds corny, but I think the sentiment truly captures the essence of Christmas in our time. Heartwarming stuff.
  19. Georgia Satellites - Keep Your Hands to Yourself. This was quite the hit down here in 1986. I have to admit that for quite a while after this song was released, I thought the band was called "George and the Satellites".
  20. Hartmann - Brazen. I've been revisiting some Oliver Hartmann related stuff. It's all pure class.
  21. I heard this one recently in a youtube covid video regarding the Worldwide use of masks. This could possibly be the Anthem of 2020.
