  2. I also am a fan of this album. Had never heard them before so I went back to listen to their first two albums. Expectations were high. And then.... Well I tried, a lot. Listened to each album 3 or 4 times, but really they are both pretty shit. Then I started wondering if they changed singers, because the vocals were really bad on the first two. Maybe the producer got more out of the singer? The music on the early albums was good, perhaps a little too 'try a little bit of everything' but still, solid. But n ot solid enough to work in any way with the vocals sadly. So onwards and upwards, and look forward to the next release
  3. Both songs are great. And Harry is one who can sound a bit samey at times, good to hear some variance.
  4. Well well well. Wig Wam touring. Excellent. And soon as well...
  5. Now no need to bring race into this. I don't care who is giving the golden shower
  6. At least the Bon Jovi ad is funny. I wanna party with that New Zealand dude who need to pee a lot.
  7. Add to that we have a Kiss song as a McDonald's ad...
  8. Ok, so the Project is a local woke news show that swings hhard to the left and pretty much all Australians hate. Just saw this ad, where they are generating hate at a new level. Fuck them using Kiss, Also, I should put this in umpopular opinions post, but I'd rather Kiss plat Talk To Me to Shock Me, 2000 Man or Strange Ways, even New York Groove.
  9. Rat Pak Records 19 h · Coming soon! All new studio release from Roxanne! Details TBA later this month! #Roxanne #newmusic #comingsoon This is great news. Last album was fucking killer. But that was like 20 years in the making, hopefully they've been able to put together some great stuff in a shorter time.
  10. Yeah, and I'd say Quiet Riot is also somewhere inbetween as well. I think people who are still bothered to buy new music from LA Guns Quiet Riot, Autograph, and also a bunch of other bands that are more 'legit' as far as members go such as Steelheart, Little Caesar, Faster Pussycat, etc etc are just as likely to know about the music nop matter what the band is called. These days it's really about the die hards. And believe it or not, the fact that we are here even discussing this, mkes us die hards by default, no matter how much we dig the music or not.
  11. The weirdest thing about all this is that seemingly there is a value placed on the brand "Autograph" Would be easier just to rebrand "manualgraph" 😀
  12. Up until now, the total songs I consider keepers of their first 4 albums were 7. 6, 9 and 10 And of this new one I have 8 so far, with 3 undecided. That makes them probably one of my favorite bands Sweet Poison is a great solid album. Would rival for top spot foir the year, with kissin' Dynamite possibly pipping it.
  13. Good Times is a great song. Maybe what's my scene is ok
  14. Not a fan of bands like REM, Hoodoo Gurus, U2 haven't aged well, Pearl Jam, The Darkness, Hunters & Collectors.
  15. I was distracted/not paying enough attention the first time I saw it, and as such left feeling like I didn;t really understand what it was all about. I probably got bored fairly early. So I committed when rewatching it. lucky it had been 12 years. Movie was actually pretty simple, don't expect too much from the new one. Will see it in 3D as others have told me to.
  16. Violent Night was awesome Rewatched Avatar before we see the new one.
  17. I guess my my top 10 in no particular order might be The New Roses - Sweet Poison Kissin' Dynamite - Not The End of The Road Skid Row - The Gang's All Here Def Leppard - Diamond Star Halos Sammy Hagar - Crazy Times Butch Walker - ... As Glenn Cats In Space - Kickstart The Sun Rust N Rage - One For The Road Ronnie Atkins - Make It Count Dynazty - Final Advent
  18. New. Refuse to but second hand stuff for someone as a gift. Maybe that's snobby. Regardless, even if I was ok with doing that, I would never purchase a second hand vinyl (read above )
  19. I just put that to the romantic restrospective return to what you loved at the time. Not sure anyone here is qualified to difinitively make a call, it's just personal opinions. I'm sure I love CD's more because I can use them are frisbees and they still play the same. The amount of $$$ I spent replacing vinyl is nuts. Maybe I just didn't look after them well enough. Anyway, that's my romantic memory, buying a medium that gave great sound and LASTED. At the time I found it to sound overproduced compared to vinyl, but that quickjly dissipated.
  20. So my daughter bought a record player. Can only assume that she was looking to be hip and old school or whatever. So it sat there for 6 months until she decided to finally get some speakers. Her grandmother died so suddenly she had a bunch of albums to play, but she really didn't much. So her birthday is coming up and we thought we'd get her an album that she's into as part of her present so she'd use the thing. She's into Bowie, and I checked out the albums today. Holy crap! AUD $50 and up. What the hell, I know they aren't as popular as CD's but they have put their footprint firmly back on the music industry. But I'm not paying 50 bucks for a record. You see I remember records. When CD's arrived I replaced everything I had bar a couple that I couldn't get. Because they get fucking scratched and warped, and dirty and were never much more than a pain in the ass. So the thought of moving back there is horrific to me, even if they at times have that reminiscent sound to them. My daughter is on her own. I know one day I'll hear a record jumping as it plays, and I'll be triggered lol
  21. Xmas Day here now. We had a fairly big Xmas eve with lobster and prawns etc Off year for us as the kids with partners go to their in laws on Xmas Day, and then next year we get them all, which is cool as next year we will have 2 new family members to enkoy. Still doing a lunch tomorrow as well, but more laid back and chill. Hope everyone has a good day, being invented to rope in non-believers like me to celebrate the birth Jesus. I am comfortable with my hypocricy. It hasn't worked on me to date, but I guess there is hope... I suppose many real life believers go to church and the like and pray away and probably somewhat resent people like me who just take all the good things from the day (time with family, giving gifts, fun and laughter) without having to deal with um, all the religious stuff I guess. But we here still ive in a Christian country, so I guess tehre is an obligation somewhat regardless
  22. Pciked up what they tol dme were the last two Skid Row tix for Melbourne. Show was resheduled to May so a few must have come back on teh market for people who cancelled. Looking at GlamFest, but not sure I wanna spend 10 hours standing up in a club. That's a long fucking time. Would probably prefer it on a winery green, or even a large backyard where you can sit and enjoy.
