  1. Was listening to this the otehr day as a friend recommended it. Never been a fan, but I have to say the CD is pretty good. Was familiar with Teenagers which is a great song so I gave it a go. This is the other standout song.
  2. As I've said before, I've always thought that Warrant were able to finish off We Will Rock you, which was really nothing more than a sample of a complete song that was never finished. Their vesion is far superios to Queens
  3. The rut I see them in is basically being controlled by the subject matter. I guess to a degree they are stifled with Ralph's voice. He doesn't have much variety in his vocals. But yeah, they'd need to try some diversity to the msuic for it to be more worthwhile (either smutty songs, of 'proper' songs) But I'd say they are simply following the formula. I guess we all need to remember that this is their income source, and if people are buying, they need to keep the dollars coming in. Most people on this forum is pretty discerning and have high expectations. A lot of the meat heads out there will be happy to hear some four letter words and dirty lyrics.
  4. I haven't got to this yet. mainly because I have no real drive to get to it. Always Gonna Be A Ho I've seen and like. Heavy Metal Rules I saw today and hated (except for the eye candy in the clip) Not sure what all the sooking is about. I called it a few years ago - they should have done a more serious album while they got it together properly for a new novelty album. But the novelty was always going to wear off. For me I still find a few nice tunes, but less and less off each album as time moves on.
  5. I moved my old computer to my warehouse when I upgraded, so that still has a CD drive. But I didn't really think about it until now. I'll likely sell off the CD's that are worth something - the rare ones. The rest are really costers now I guess.
  6. Yep, me too. I still have to rip all my CD's Big job, that I'll likely never get to. Every now and then I pull a CD and if I play it on my computer I'll rip it. That said, I just upgraded my desktop and latop recently and neitehr have CD drives any more. Probably should get on it while plug in writers are still available and cheap.
  7. yeah, I'm a sheep with the flock with this one, can't wait...
  8. I finally got back to this one, and I really like it. Never Enough is pretty much the same as what was already released. All You Need Is A heartbeat is much cleaner and more modern, if that makes sense after only 2 years. Aside from them it's a solid album with overall only a couple of songs that I can miss. Stained Glass (instrumental) I See You Somewhere So I'm really a couple of weeks late to this as it would have made my top 10 pretty easily, probably top 5. But the top lists change all the time anyway.
  9. Not sure if this has been posted somewhere yet...
  10. There are people who like the first LA Guns ST album and White Lion's Fight To Survive, both of which to me are pretty crappy. But again, I do like Bon Jovi Self Titled a lot.
  11. For me the debut was great, but they just got better. I managed to squeeze in 2 from it, but only at #20 and #18
  12. Listened to this enough now to sum it up Best Two Coins And A Dead Man Live Before You Die Next I'mThe One I Don't Know Why That's it for me. First two songs I mentioned are well wortha listen
  13. Always thouight this was a great chorus, particularly given it's age and how well it still stands up. Not sure many people outside of Australia will be too aware of it, but anyway, here it is, a great song.
  14. Like you, picture discs. I always struggled with vinyl, scratches, how fragile they were etc. So when CD's came along, I replaced all my records with CD's, at times selling off the records to subsidise the cost. Some I kepy, that I couldn't get on CD - Little America, Gogmagog and The HEavy's Metal Marathon were a few. But for some reason I sold off my picture discs, probably because even then they were worth considerably more than records that were becoming extinct. I have the Trooper picture disc that was shaped odd for the flag etc (ie it wasn't round) Remember I had Voctory by The Jacksons for some reason. A whole bunch of stuff, which I wish I'd kept. Pobably my most valuable record remaining is a signed copy of Kylie Minogue's I Should Be So Lucky. This was at the start of her singing career and I was at the Royal melbourne Show and they announced she was signing records and I was right there. Surprisingly, nobody else really bothered to go up to her, so I had a chat and moved on. Still have a bunch of singles, kept mainly for their B Sides.
  15. Here's my top songs. Have to say that this was way harder than I thought. Really spells out what an amazing catalogue Bon Jovi have. I needed to get to top 25 just so that some songs misss out on being written down. Also, there more recent albums have some great songs, just pale in comparison to the older stuff. 25. Bed Of Roses 24. Joey 23. Hearts Breaking Even 22. Keep The Faith 21. Only Lonely 20. Runaway 19. Captain Crash & The Beauty Queen From Mars 18. Shot Through The Heart 17. Always 16. Starting All Over Again 15. I’ll Be There For You 14. Lay Your Hands On Me 13. Born To Be My Baby 12. It’s My Life 11. Without Love 10. Something For The Pain 9. Edge Of A Broken Heart 8. These Days 7. Bad Medicine 6. If That’s What It Takes 5. Wanted Dead Or Alive 4. Livin’ On A Prayer 3. Wild Is The Wind 2. You Give Love A Bad Name 1. In These Arms
  16. Watch Mojo selected these 10. Always 9. Wild is the Wind 8. Let it Rock 7. Bed of Roses 6. Bad Medicine 5. Hey God 4. You Give Love a Bad Name 3. Blood on Blood 2. Living on a Prayer 1. Wanted Dead or Alive
  17. That's a really great song. Edit: Oops, meant to quote the song
  18. Second song was better for me.
  19. Even if it goes way off topic to something completeley random, who really cares. How long can you talk about Def Lepprds top 10 songs? Everything hs a use by date. Was interesting though, a band tht everyone knows, and everyone generally likes a bunch of songs a lot. As I said in the first post, I also saw the same youtube channel do Bon Jovi and thought it was lot more accurate. Maybe I'll start a BJ top 20 thread.
  20. There are probably a few cringey ones around, lyric-wise. But for me, the only bad ballad is a boring, poorly written ballad. I guess by definition, they tend to be a bit cheesey - sob stories, broken hearts, desperatelonging etc. Except maybe some like Jackyl's The Secret Of The Bottle
  21. No, I'm saying I won't get butthurt like others might. Not sure if you got that and were making a joke, or didn't understand. I'm tired - time for bed
  22. I hate it when people get all butthurt with hijacking nd off topic etc. Always found it strange on a forum, let the conversations go where they go. As for cheese, a good song is a good song. Listen to it enough and it's not cheesy any more, it's just a song. Love Bites, Carrie, I Saw Red, You Are The One - love them all
  23. Tried to keep it to one song from each album, otherwise there would probably be one more in there from each of Cats In Space and The New Roses 1. The New Roses – Down By The River 2. Cats In Space – Unicorn 3. Tesla – Love Is A Fire 4. Station – United 5. Sammy Hagar & The Circle – Wide Open Space 6. Mike Tramp – No Closure 7. Donnie Vie – Back From The Blue 8. Alchemy - Hero 9. Kaato - Addicted 10. Station – All You Need Is A Heartbeat
  24. Some of Mike's solo stuff has been exceptional. I didn't get to his last album yet. Heard it a few times, but it's very samey until you listen to it and start to differentiate between songs and then some start to stand out.
