  1. The word 'legally' in there probably should be replaced with 'ethically' Perhaps legally, perhaps not. Regardless, I think it's irrelevant. I suspect they are offering 5% from the tour as a sweetener for him being out of the band, rather than 25% of all recordings, merch, etc and probably zero for touring. So I agree that morally if he ain't touring then the other 3 get 33% and John 5 is on a wage. or perhaps Vince gets less, if he agreed to less when he came back. 99% of the comments I'm seeing are pro Mick, and now KK Downing has come out saying he is in exactly the same position. Looks like manslaughter, drunk driving, wife abuse, and countless other things historically have all slidden though in the name of RNR. They tried to hide this one with arbitration, and Mick replies with lawyers. Good on him.
  2. That's a great cover. Really like thhe original, and also that version. Love it when bands do covers properly...
  3. Did anyone hear this album? The Promise Of A Life (2021) Just went back for another listen and I'd forgotten how great it is. Not for everyone, but it's really diverse and pretty much explores heaps of different concepts and styles.
  4. So just had a google around and nothing on any Wig Wam postponed new shows. Not sure if anyone has any info, was lookiing forward to this. So glad I didn't buy tix though
  5. Pretty siimple. Ace has a new album coming soon, need publicity. Ace is butt hurt that Kiss don't need him to play in their last concerts. They will sell out regardless, and would be suggesting that it's in Ace's interest to guest or comeo, to generate some interest in him. They sure as hell aren't going to have 'deep pockets' to pay Ace what he wants. Ace won't say shit. If Paul and Gene take him seriously, or perhaps even if they don't., lawyers would have already been in touch. Storm in a teacup.
  6. You know, when you're right, your're right I am the same, never cared for Cry For Freedom, it was boring and whiney. New version is far better and makes it ionto a fairly decent song.
  7. Listening to this again, with definite Dee Snider vibes from the singer. Gooogled to see if Dee guested on Letting Go
  8. First thing i notoced was that it soulds like one of those disections hows where the isolate the vocal s and guitars etc at different points. Soulds like original vox being played to by the ochestra. I listened from the start again and the vocals really don't match the music, they are too fast and not drawn out enough to match the music. Don't like.
  9. My daughters band, Ablaze, dropped their new single this morning. Clip is coming soon.
  10. I think Nuno makes the song. Rare for guitar to be the big shining light to a song and I think it happens here. Also I love hearing stuff that breaks the normal tried and tested breakdowns.
  11. That album was pretty mid. When one of your fav tracks is Is That All You Want? it says a bit. So far the new stuff is catchier. Hoping for a Roxanne type revival.
  12. I can compare Metallica to ABBAcomparing two bands with the same singer is easier, especially when they are in the same genre.
  13. I have an answer. The weird stuff from The Doors. I'm ok with most of their stuff, but that psychedelic weird shit really gets to me. Can't see any appeal.
  14. I haven't heard the album yet. Been working up in Sydney pretty lonmg hours so no chance to hear much at all. As for this song on first listen. Yeah, it's pretty average. But so is a lot of stuff released these days. Edit: near the end of tyhe song now and I'm wondering if it will end up being catchy.
  15. Bluuuugh Only watched in case there was boob. And I knew there wouldn't be, but watched to the end anyway - just in case
  16. Oooh, I should have posted this in unpopular decisions. I did say 'tgese days'obviously some HS albums are legendary and amazing, but if I could only buy one album of HS or FS that was being released on the same day, if go got FS.
  17. Also, I really enjoyed The Girl With Golden Eyes again. Always liked the song, but I appreciated what he did there. I've even grown to not hate the speaking bit in the middle...
  18. So I went out with my son who is a big Sixx AM fan (via me) so I put my mix on in the car. Turns out he was skipping some of the later songs, and I realised that there were a couple of albums where I had picked the best songs for my mix, but never really took the time to let them get into my system properly. So a couple of things. Modern Vintage has some really killer songs Hyperventilate, Gotta Get It Right, Let It Haunt You, Before It's Over Love the diversity of the songs on this album. Likewise Prayers For The Blessed/Damned are also a lot better than I remember Riot In My Head and Helicopteres are killer tracks particularly right at the end of the 2nd album. Sad I never got a chance to see them live.
