Yep, no shit. There was something about it in a recent classic rock magazine i think or i may have read something online about it after recently listening to the powerstation sessions CD. Originally Jon used some session musicians to record some stuff he was coming up with and a guy called Bill Frank played on the original instrumental version of Runaway. Jon ditched those guys and recorded a demo with a different bunch of guys (Tim Pierce was the guitarist), then Sabo was part of the early line-up just before the self titled album was to be recorded but was ditched in favor of Richie for the recording of the album.

They sound pretty good. I like the guitar solos, very melodic without trying to be too flash and ruining the whole thing!

This could be interesting. I've only heard License To Thrill and Innocent Rosie is a class track from it. However that track isn't as good, hopefully others will be better

They've put out some nice and solid albums through the years but the only one that rocked for me was the debut which had two outstanding tracks on it. I'm not saying the rest are bad albums just not spectacular for me.

I'm not so sure. For instance David Gilmour hasn't put out anything magical in quite a while but he can still really nail those great Floyd solos these days

Yeah i do have a high bar. I can see why it is peoples favourite studio release of the year so far. It is the best release i've heard so far but it is a weak year so far and just because it's the best so far that isn't a reason to carry on playing it if it doesn't reach the standards i'm looking for.
