  1. Nah, he only did The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile and The Mist (which i haven't seen) but the first two of those are very close to the book and brilliant films. All other King adaptations i agree fall flat.
  2. Interesting lists, there are a few i need to check out. I listened to most of Care of Night on Spotify but didn't think much to it. In fact i've not really heard anything strong in 2015
  3. Completely agree with these. Well said. You could throw in everything Steve King wrote. Apart from the ones Frank Darabont directed. They were pretty much accurate to the books
  4. Oh and i've just finished all of the Breaking Bad series which i thoroughly enjoyed. I reckon it's the best non-comedy series i've ever seen in fact.
  5. I saw 12 Years A Slave last night. Me and the missus settled in to what i thought was going to be an epic judging by the amount of awards it won. The missus was asleep inside of an hour and i was getting bored. My conclusion at the end was it was a pike of shit. They managed to make what is a fantastic story in to 2 and a quarter hours of drivel. There is no sense of time in the film! He could have been a slave for 3 weeks, the only reference to the length he was in an unfortunate predicament is the films title! The timeline was unnecessarily jumbled about at the beginning and i thought the disc had got stuck at one point because the camera focused on the leading character staring in to space for minutes on end for no apparent reason. This film is utter garbage but i am interested in the plight of the subject so will hunt down the book and read it.
  6. A mystery indeed. RIP to another old rocker
  7. Wow another one. Very sad, RIP
  8. Damn you cancer indeed
  9. Another shocking announcement so soon after Lemmy and also so soon after a birthday. He did things his way and led one hell of a life from what I've read over the years. R.I.P.
  10. I thought Kiss Psycho Circus was pretty good, the title track is one of my fav Kiss songs! I agree that Aerosmith (Music From Another Dimension) and Van Halen (A Different Kind of Truth) were both massive disappointments!
  11. I will be utterly amazed if the persuade Izzy to play with them!
  12. I've been treating this as just another rumor so far but it is looking more and more like it's going to happen. It will be interesting to see who else plays with them.

  16. That Black Rain track is excellent!
  17. This news has saddened me more than i thought it would, I've always admired the way Lemmy went about his business and looked forward to hearing his music and what he had to say, It amazed me he could survive the lifestyle he chose and be so blasé about it all. It's a blessing he only knew of his terrible fate for only a few days. RIP

Steven Tyler: Does the noise in my head bother you What a crazy read! it reads like someone with ADHD on coke wrote it
  19. Wow! well cool indeed! if only you could watch all shows like that! Flat is the wrong word for Def Leppards performance. The atmosphere was still great but it just re-enforced how simple their music is in comparison to the likes of Whitesnake and i felt underwhelmed at the end of their set. I'm pleased i've seen them though
  20. Yes mate..had a great night last night...what did you think? Cool! We had a great night too but i don't think as good as yours. We were in one of the boxes which i've never had the opportunity to try before. It was a bit far from the action but comfortable and we could see everything. Black Star Riders were a pleasant surprise. I thought Ricky did an admirable job warming up the crowd and they definitely got more cheers after their last number compared to the first. I was blown away by Whitesnake (who i was there to see really). I too have read a lot about Coverdales voice but it wasn't as bad as the press have been making out. Fair enough, he can't sing like he used to but he's still good enough to entertain. The solo Reb played in Mistreated was the highlight of the gig for me. I loved every track and would have loved to have heard more. Def Leppard were ok. Joe has been getting some slatings for his singing too recently but i thought he sang fine. He seems to be struggling for the high notes but it was far from a car crash. Def Leppard were fun to watch but they felt a bit flat after Whitesnake. The wife preferred Leppard over the Snake and claimed to only know two of the tracks Whitesnake played. I was disgusted Watching from where you were must of have been pretty dam cool!
