  1. I don't hate it, but when I heard Phil was producing I was hoping for something more along the lines of BB Steal. "Shock" is NOT a Def Leppard tune.
  2. I seem to remember Soto stating he was not fond of the debut and would never consider an Eyes reunion. I've been a fan of that particular CD for decades.
  3. I'm guessing none of y'all will be surprised to hear me say "I do NOT like this one at all." Seems as though all of the members of this new band are running as far away from the name "Dokken" as possible... They should only be so lucky that any of us old'skool fans would mention them in the same breath. I'm going to listen to Under Lock And Key right now... I need something to put a smile on my face so early on a Monday morning.
  4. Sounds like something off Treat's cutting-room floor to me.
  5. <1992 solo Bon Jovi? Im in. >1992 solo Bon Jovi? This disc isn't worth the plastic it's printed on.
  6. I actually like that first track quite a bit.
  7. I was posing a legitimate question, not making a statement. As mentioned, I'm not familiar with the band at all. I must be thinking of someone else. Not a complete spoof ala Steel Panther, but similar in nature. Maybe that band that tried to sound like Def Leppard? Even had a similar type of name. Just not coming to me off-hand. Fairly recent (last few years).
  8. Never got into this band. Were they sort of a Steel Panther thing?
  9. Taylor and Blaze. That was Lillian Axe. Everything else is rubbish. Those first two albums were AWESOME!
  10. This is ******* awesome! Great mix of old's-kool with a heavy dose of their new vibe. If this weren't DRN and I if hadn't been a fan dating back more than 30 years, I probably wouldn't love it as much as I do... But it is, and I do!
  11. That one is okay, but doesn't have me rushing to pre-order.
  12. I ordered a copy of the complete set. $99.00 shipped to the USA was just too good to pass-up. I enjoy Brett's early stuff, and those remixes should be a fun listen. If you're not familiar with Walker, but you enjoy Blue Tears or Mitch Malloy, for example, you really need to check him out.
  13. Doubled my money on the Blue Ocean Marble vinyl I purchased from the official website... so it's not all bad for me.
  14. I'm almost ashamed to admit I don't hate that song (don't get me wrong, I don't love it, either). It sounds so... well... Backstreet Boys. It's not something I'd purchase, but I could certainly see 17 year-old girls digging it.
  15. Love it! Very new-breed DRN... I don't normally dig that type of thing from my favorite 80's bands, but I'm good with it here. Once again, Daiker is all over this one. Look at Mel slide into everyone of those notes on bass. Dude is SOOOOOOOOOOOO damn good. Such a shame he's virtually unknown outside Portland, Oregon (and a those of you in-the-know for this type of music).
  16. The guitar-work is great. I think it's a pretty decent cover. Look, I've been a HUGE fan since 1983, so you'll be hard-pressed to get me to say anything negative about this band. Those of you who weren't around to see them on the Pyromania and Hysteria tours... God I feel badly for you. "Top of their game" is a HUGE understatement. The Beatles of my era for sure.
  17. I've had time to listen to this one a few times, now, and I like it a lot. Very similar in nature to the last two albums. Not as "commercial" sounding as Coup, but it stands on its own very well. I'm certainly glad they decided NOT to retire after CDG. I'd love to see these guys play live!
  18. Oh yeah, this is the old'skool Pearcy I remember. This CD is on my buy list for sure.
  19. I "think" I've finally found the answer. Tune in at about 6:20
  20. I can certainly live with that track.
  21. Received my copy yesterday and promptly played it straight through. Just a great record that screams 1986 - 1988. Very time-machine-like. I was happy to hear the "re-mastering" did not squash the sound by elevating all levels into clipping, but the engineer did not do a great job with the end fades... very sudden and choppy. I'm guessing the original demo recordings were not produced by Mutt Lange
  22. If this was anyone NOT named Steve Perry you'd all be slagging it the same as me... don't lie.
  23. Brutal. Makes me want to pour a warm bath an open-up a vein. 2018 Steve Perry is not for me. Once again I'll reiterate that I love Journey-era Steve Perry nearly as much as anyone, and I'm perhaps the biggest Raised On Radio fan on this entire forum. I wish I hadn't pre-ordered Traces. Anyone want to purchase my copy of the Blue-colored LP?
