  1. Received my CD yesterday. Very well put-together package. Happy to finally own this one.
  2. Andrew, I take one of the remaining copies. Let me know how / where pay. Thanks!
  3. Hell, I just bought it. Good memories from this band. Thanks for the link.
  4. I remember finding the debut CD in the cut-out bins back in the fall of 1992 at the record store in the local mall and I played the living hell out of it for years to come... still gets dropped in my CD player from time to time today, and I still love it. I'll probably pick this one up just to have it in the collection.
  5. Just listened to parts of most of these samples for the very first time. They all sound nice.... just not really my cup of tea. Many (most) of these new bands all sound pretty much the same to me. I'm sure my father thought very the same thing back in 1983 when I was playing Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Quiet Riot and Night Ranger on my boombox while he was still spinning Ambrosia and Little River Band on his turntable. Now I listen to Ambrosia and Little River Band more than Motley Crue and Quiet Riot
  6. Listen to Pete with those awesome pinch harmonics. Very 80's, bro, and very cool guitar work.
  7. ... but that hi-hat sure harkens back to the glory days.
  8. They were excellent in London last week. NEVER a bad show from these guys. Such great energy at their live gigs. Would have loved to see them with Bon Jovi (when Bon Jovi still rocked) back in the day. They were not on the New Jersey Tour here in the States. I shouldn't complain... I saw a little known band by the name of Skid Row on that tour
  9. I've mentioned this many times before... Been a huge DRN fan dating back to 1987 and I've been fortunate enough to see the band live here in Portland, Oregon countless times the past 30 years. Three decades ago I probably wouldn't have liked this new album at all... But now; I ******* love it! So good. Pure musical artistry.
  10. I've always been a huge DLR fan, and I was very happy to see the band reunite for a couple tours and a "new" album. But that time has now passed... At this point I'd like to see a Sammy reunion or add Malloy to the fold and tour with their entire catalog rather than just the first five albums. Not holding out much hope for Ed and Sammy burying the hatchet, however.
  11. I purchased all three. On their own I probably only needed the first two, but going that route that doesn't make good business sense. Completing the trifecta for an extra $10.00 including shipping was a no-brainer for me (even if I don't listen often).
  12. Love the tone from that Stratocaster when he has it switched to the neck position.
  13. You know you should call it a day when the first person to be mentioned in the line up is the DRUMMER cause he's the most recognizable one I actually remember CHUCK WRIGHT as a member of Giuffria, NOT Quiet Riot. Surprisingly he played bass guitar on several METAL HEALTH tracks. I honestly did not know that until just now. Always thought it was Sarzo.
  14. 1986 for me. QR III is a great album You're right, it was 1986 not 1985. I like III as well.
  15. Banali is just trying so hard to keep this thing going. I feel for him, and appreciate his desire (monetary necessity), but Quiet Riot died with Dubrow as far as I'm concerned... and to be honest, they haven't really been relative to me since about 1985. Gotta give them credit for that debut, however. Perfect place at the perfect time.
  16. A 'blast from the past' album that will make you love it, that's for sure! Melodic hard rock bliss in an old-fashioned way from two very talented musicians that still got the spark inside them!!! Even if I hadn't heard one song from this album, the aforementioned sentence would have been enough to sell me.
  17. Sucks... They made it sound as though Wetton would joint the Asia / Journey Tour later this summer... I had no idea his health was that bad. "Heat of the Moment" was absolutely HUGE in the early days of MTV, and my friends and I watched that video hundreds of times in 1982 / 1983 as it was in steady rotation. Best wishes for his family and friends. He'll never be truly forgotten.
  18. Just pre-ordered this on from NEH Records as well (with Tokyo Motor Fist). That last weekend in February is gonna be fun!
  19. Just pre-ordered from NEH Records. This one is going to get a lot of play from me this spring / summer.
  20. Both of the two provided tracks are awesome. This is absolutely proof-positive that a great 80's sounding album can be written and recorded in 2017.
  21. Good Lord. You know, in the early days of MTV (1982 / 1983), Michael Bolotin had a really cool video that I looked forward to seeing every day. This is horrible...
  22. I was really hoping that maybe-just-maybe Jon would speak with Richie about a 1987 / 2017 Slippery When Wet 30-year reunion world tour and play SWW front-to-back, plus a greatest hits medley like so many other bands have done the past few years. Could have been great. Could have given their "old" fans one last chance to relive past glory. Could have never happened and I don't think it ever will. They really were awesome back then.
