  1. Rhetorical question I'm sure, not like you REALLY wanted to know but it's now Simon Cruz. He doesnt really look like a Simon Cruz if I had to picture in my head a Simon Cruz but at least he "looks" the sleaze part. http://www.crashdiet.org/index.php/band/bandmembers
  2. Really? Wow, the only songs I didn't think rocked were the ones featuring Mick Mars, go figure. The debut was better IMO but I really like both. Of course, if you get your wish and this release is better than the last one then I will be extremely pleased. They used to have a download for one song, Caught In Despair, off the new album on their website. I don't see it there now but it is really good.
  3. Hold on while I set my screen resolution to 5000 x 2500
  4. Not sure if anyone posted about this yet...the Search feature of this board is a little foggy at times. Anyway, from the Crashdiet website: Album update! Tuesday, 29 December 2009 11:42 | Written by MartinSweet | We are proud to announce that we have finalized the new CRASHDÏET album! 10 mindblowing songs are currently being mixed by Swedish hotshot Tobias Lindell. The album entitled Generation Wild is set for a late march release, through Gain records. The title track will hit the Swedish radio stations in January. Other titles featured are Native Nature, Chemical, Rebel, Down with the dust etc to give you a hint. A complete tracklist with be released within a few dayz! The recording took place in Gröndal, Sweden with producing team Rampac. Martin Sweet: This album is definitely a return to the sound and feel of Rest in Sleaze Simon Cruz: A fine set of Swedish balls! Peter London: So, finally, this is the sound of Swedish sleaze in 2010. mmm, yummy! Eric Young: I am so proud of our soon-to-be-born-kikk-ass-baby, can't stop listening to it!
  5. Anyone remember this? 'These Are The Dave's I Know' (The Kid's In The Hall): http://www.milkandcookies.com/link/45277/detail/
  6. Hmmmm, I don't know you but I could vote for you if you want? Are you Mark, one of the Dave's or one of Geoff's boyfriends?
  7. Exactly! Even satellite radio pretty much sucks. Our local rock station is www.93x.com, Minneapolis/St. Paul The playlist is usually this: Nickelback Metallica Green Day something from a modern rock band (Papa Roach, Linkin Park, etc) Soundgarden Metallica Guns N Roses Ozzy Metallica Green Day Aerosmith Metallica something from a modern rock band Green Day Red Hot Chili Peppers something from a modern rock band Oh, and more Metallica
  8. I didn't buy a ton of cd's in 2009 but I might as well throw my list up there out of what I bought: Best of 2009: 1. Delain - April Rain -even though sleaze is my first choice in music, after listening to the samples Dan posted I had to get this cd and it rarely leaves my playlist. I play it so much Mrs. Jeff even knows some of the songs though she does not like "loud music". Not a bad track on here. I enjoyed it so much I had to find their debut Lucidity and purchase that. I am almost scared to search out similar bands for fear a whole new genre of music will end with my empty bank account and divorce papers. 2. Dynasty - Bring The Thunder -this one and the next 2 could swap spots in any way...loved all 3 3. Dirty Penny - Young & Reckless 4. Hardcore Superstar - Beg For It 5. Tango Down - Damage Control 6. FarCry - High Gear Stuff that was just ok: 7. Burn Halo - Burn Halo -a few really good tracks, the rest are forgettable 8. Steel Panther - Feel The Steel -funny, but gets old quick, then funny again, then old again 9. Strike Twice - Strike Twice -with more play time in the future this one could grow on me Didn't care for: 10. Lillian Axe - Sad Day On Planet Earth I believe that was all I bought from 2009 so don't beat me up too bad on stuff excluded from my list. A few from 2009 on my list to purchase are: Winger Danger Danger Hardline Lynch Mob House of Lords WASP Chris Laney ...and any great sleaze releases that you guys and gals want to suggest to me that I missed. I learn and discover so much on this board, thanks and here's to a great 2010! I cannot wait for that Crashdiet cd....gonna kick some ass. Jeff
  9. Hey, who's garage is that (Rick?) and who rides that small bike on the left (Pete?)? Do you guys do the the VIP tix or the general admission?
  10. I'm diggin' the stuff on their Myspace site. Rock City is a great track. Is their EP worth getting? Some tracks are on Never Say Die but it appears not all of them. Yet I'm not sure it is worth the $10 plus the $9 to ship both cd's to the US. <sigh> I'll probably end up doing it.
  11. I should do a poll to see everyone's allegiance. I know we have at least one Steelers fan, probably many who don't care. I'll have to figure out how to do a poll someday. Well, Pete, as a Packers fan, it is against religion and law to root for the vikings or the cowboys, so I probably won't watch the game.
  12. Aw, Pete you are a Vikes fan? High Gear just got moved out of my top 10 of 2009. I better not kid too much...lots of vikes fans on this board from what I can guess so far.
  13. Agreed with above, pretty average is the best way to sum that track up. I admit I expect quite a bit from Giant though, as mentioned in another thread their first release takes me back to high school and some great memories...hard to live up to that.
  14. Hey Dave, just read through the other thread here at HH on Hansel and checked out their myspace page...pretty good stuff!
  15. Just found this short review here: http://hardrockhideout.com/2010/01/11/hans...r-say-die-2010/
  16. Dave, what would be a couple of bands you would compare them to? Sleaze being my favorite, I'll be ordering for sure if it is anything like Shotgun Messiah, Crashdiet, etc.?
  17. I just felt the need to bury my face somewhere.
  18. Yep, and I just completed another trade with him over the holidays.
