  2. I have clicked on this thread twice now in an attempt to do this and I cannot. I get somewhere between MSG's Gimme Your Love and The Cult's Heart of Soul and realize this is impossible.
  3. Being a HUGE Dangerous Toys and Shotgun Messiah fan back in the day I was really sort of ticked when "The R-tist 4-merly Known As Dangerous Toys" and "Violent New Breed" came out with that industrial metal sound. Some of the songs on the DT release grew on me a little....I said a little, not much....a little. The only tune on Violent New Breed that I could tolerate was Rain. For how good these guys were at what they did on their previous releases, I was disappointed to say the least.
  4. I can't believe it's not butter! Welcome!
  5. You can't go wrong with anything AFTER No Regrets. The early releases are a different style that I dont care for. After No Regrets it is just pure and pointed attitude and sleaze.
  6. You guys are gonna break my bank with all these cd's that I have to order. Then Mrs. Jeff is gonna break my balls when the cd's arrive. That's ok, I'll just spread them out over time and get to the mailbox before she does. She is always really good with my cd collecting until she feels I am ordering more than I can listen to in a month. Then she starts to needle me a little about it.
  7. Have you heard Hell N Diesel yet? I have not, but when I read through this post, they were one of the bands I copied to my list of bands to check out. Since they are high on your list I will be checking for some samples (myspace or otherwise) sooner than later.
  8. I do most of my import ordering from NEH records but now that they've been out a while you might be able to find a better deal on Amazon. Winger-Karma for $13.99 from Amazon or $10.99 from a different seller. http://www.amazon.com/Karma-Winger/dp/B002...9680&sr=1-1 Lynch Mob-Smoke & Mirros with the same price. http://www.amazon.com/Smoke-Mirrors-Lynch-...9680&sr=1-2 Danger Danger-Revolve quite a bit more pricey from Amazon but the seller Importcds(who I highly recommend) has it for $12.72. http://www.amazon.com/Smoke-Mirrors-Lynch-...9680&sr=1-2 I forgot to add, I buy one cd (Delain - Lucidity) from importcds, it arrived fast but the rear inserts somehow was destroyed with a rip/hole, like something punctured the case...though the case and package were undamaged. They refunded my money plus shipping, no problem...so I might look their way again. Excellent, thank you Wes!

  10. Great question! Everyone's list reminds me or introduces me to a band that I need to check out. Really, I think Glam Junkie should just list every sleaze band he thinks we should check out! I love the sleaze....here are mine right now, but always changing as something comes along or something grows on me: 1. Hardcore Superstar 2. Dirty Penny (going to see these guys Friday and Saturday night...should be a blast) 3. Crashdiet 4. Crazy Lixx 5. Dynazty (I know, only one cd so far, but man if their next cd is half as good as this one, they'll be up at 1 or 2 in no time...great stuff)
  11. I have yet to get this disc, Danger Danger or the Lynch Mob release. Where is the best place to order these from?
  12. I have always found some of Linkin Park's stuff pretty melodic and well done. Yesterday "Numb" came on my Ipod while I was painting....a sing along song for me. Some folks can fling shit if they want, but I agree, these guys have some pretty good stuff AND yes, I too can do without the tunes where rap is heavily incorporated. They will never be my favorite band but they have some good stuff. Some of my favorite LP tunes are the radio singles: Crawling In The End MyD<Dsmbr Numb One Step Closer Runaway Side note one of my favorite concert memories is from an LP concert that I was even attending as a fan. I used to work for a security company in Minnesota and sometimes our job was to guard the barrier area before the stage. Linkin Park was doing a show at the Metrodome and some of the crowd was body surfing up to the barrier area and we had to catch them as they fell of the front. I'll never forget listening to LP belt out the tunes right behind me while I caught people as fast as I could, one right after the other, and coming out of that concert drenched and exhausted.
  13. Our music teacher in 7th or 8th grade made us sing this one in front the parents as part of "chorus" class for the Christmas concert. I recall one of the parents sat up front making his boy (who was up on stage with all of us) laugh by making funny faces at him. That got the rest of us laughing and of course all that practice and prep went down the drain as the song sounded like shit. Our teacher was pissed....and that's an understatement. The dude was a farmer when not a teacher and he was one of those guys that splashed Old Spice over the top of the barn smell and got the saliva in the corner of his mouth and spit would fly when he was pissed and yelling at you. We all had to take showers after his tirade. Good times. And thanks for bringing back those painful memories Dan. Geesh.
  14. "He's a maniac, maniac on the floor And he's dancing like he never danced before" I hope you enjoy your day...and have that song stuck in your head for most of it.
  15. Porn and music are the ONLY things the internet is good for! Amen brutha.
  16. Sweet, thank you! No matter how much internet I surf and new porn I discover, I rarely find good, free music downloads.
  17. Found one of those oddball soundtracks in a bin for $5... If Looks Could Kill soundtrack Has a track from Trixter, Bang Tango, Robin McAuley ...and of course Kylie Minogue
  18. Oh yeah, not that I disagree either!
  19. Please don't shoot the messenger, it was forwarded to me via email...just curious if this is a form of Internet humor or if it actually happened? Australian view on torture T. B. Bechtel, a City councilor from Newcastle , Australia , was asked on a local live radio talk show, just what he thought about the allegations of torture of suspected terrorists.. His reply prompted his ejection from the studio, but to thunderous applause from the audience. HIS STATEMENT: 'If hooking up one raghead terrorist prisoner's testicles to a car battery to get the truth out of the lying little camelshagger will save just one Australian, American or Canadian life, then I have only three things to say,' : 'Red is positive, Black is negative, and Make sure his nuts are wet.'
  20. Good tune! Dirty Penny - Sleeze Disease (going to both shows next Friday and Saturday!)
  21. Up Some funny stuff but nothing as good as Shrek 1 or some other cartoons.
  22. The Mrs. and I actually thought it did a decent job of recapping and clearing up most of the confusion...not all, but a good part.
  23. I know, I am really envious about the bands in Europe, particularly Sweden, and the fact they don't get to the US too much. ...and thanks for pointing out the band names. Bad Monday, bad, bad Monday.
  24. What do you mean a good story like this through sport? What story? You creepy jerk. I was going to make a hilarious post yesterday afternoon before I left, thanking Jeff for ruining the game for me because I'd taped it while I was work and then I was going to be all like 'PSYCH!' because of my previous thoughts on the game and it would have been awesome. But I kind of left in a hurry yesterday and forgot. Hmmm, that's woulda been a good one! I wonder if you would have gotten me with that because I never see you comment on the football posts much, let lone tape a football game...but would I have thought about it that much to realize it was a joke? ...instead being consumed with guilt thinking I ruined yours (and possibly others) planned evening to watch the taped game? The world will never know. I reckon there's a good chance I would have made you feel terrible. Mission accomplised via your scrotum. Hey, wait a minute....Dan can you remove this post? Months or years from now people are not gonna have any idea about the "scrotum post" and they'll read this post of mine here and....well, they can't think good thoughts. Bad Monday. Bad bad Monday.
