  1. Brave Decent film. I was expecting more. It could have been so much better.
  2. I'd prefer them to be in supporting roles. As much as I love those three--and I do love them--I'd prefer to be introduced to new characters. This generation needs it's own cast of characters to get behind and cheer on. And hopefully forget about all of those in the Unholy Trilogy. I hope these next three films won't be focused around the Solo family, and Luke trying to rebuild the Jedi Order. All that has already been established through the novels and comics, but I understand it would be a little ridiculous to skip a couple hundred years. Is my nerd starting to show?
  3. I think I'm about ready to start another batch. I need something rich to get me through winter. Or, at least, to winter.
  4. I'm always amazed at how much music with screaming you listen to. I'll have to give a few of these a listen.
  5. Welcome to the asylum. The naked man in the corner with the very small genitalia is Geoff. A nice man, but he talks a lot of shit. So be warned. Anyway, first drink's on me.
  6. Timing is impeccable as it is currently Movember. I don't know if it is followed outside of Washington, but apparently November is the time to grow a great big ole Rolly Finger on your upper lip... I thought the exact same thing. You can do Movember and keep the 'stache, or you can do No-Shave November and keep it all. If you are really bordering on the Manson look, I'd say keep it all. Anyway, thanks for checking in again. Good to hear things are improving.
  7. Dispicable Me Still excellent on my second viewing. FAQ About Time Travel Another film that was just as good the second time. Perhaps even a little better. Total Recall (2012) An enjoyable film. Nothing mindblowing, but also not as bad as most reviewers had suggested. The Watch A comedy about four men starting a neighbourhood watch, after another man was murdered and skinned. They soon learn that the killer was an alien, and they're trying to protect the town from an alien invasion. Starring Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughan, Jonah Hill, and Richard Ayoade (of IT Crowd, also brilliant).
  8. Its all taste but i dig the classic rock style of the new album. Yeah, I also enjoy their current sound, but I prefer the previous effort. One of the best albums of... Which ever year it was. 2009?
  9. A friend of my dad would make my brother and I mixtapes. Of all the bands on those tapes Petra was the one that stood out. My brother's first cassette was Petra - Wake Up Call. Played that non-stop. Throughout most of the nineties I started listening to Cuntry. In my highschool years I got hooked on Classic Rock, but most specifically Progressive Rock. My dad handed my Supertramp's "Crime of the Century" and said, "Play this." That album changed my life. Around 2002 my brother got back into the Hard Rock scene with Def Leppard leading the way. I recall him asking if I wanted to see them in 2003--I believe--and, at the time, I wasn't really into them. It wasn't until 2005 or 2006, my brother's friend had a band called Avantasia on a CDr. There were moments on that disc I thought I heard John Schlitt. I was hooked. Avantasia brought me back to the Hard Rock scene, but it also opened me up to Metal. Eventually, I listened to Def Leppard, again, and was pissed I didn't see them when I had the chance. But, I've seen better artists since then, anyway. So, here I am, now. Probably the youngest guy on this site that frequents these pages multiple times a day, because my knowledge has surpassed everyone I know, so I have to come here to keep humble.
  10. It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine... A Great Big Sea fan, are we? No! Actually I referred to R.E.M. And I'm not a big fan of R.E.M. either... Heh, I didn't even know it was an R.E.M. song. Being Canadian, they only seem to play the Great Big Sea version on the radio. Great Big Sea is better than R.E.M., anyway.

  12. Dan addressed this already, today. Something to do with the hurricane, and Gremlins coming in contact with water, and such. Pretty much just prepare for the end of the world.
  13. Finally! Someone has a use for all those toenail clippings you've been saving!! I knew those would come in handy some day. And my wife called me crazy! I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss her. All this proved is that there's someone out there crazier than you.
  14. I wanted to check this out. Wanted? Meaning you no longer do? I still do,before it came out I remember that I wanted to when it did and forgot all about it. There for: "I wanted to check this out". Do you got it now?: lol Heh. Yeah, I'm just being a dick. I remember when it was originally just "The Raid," and then Sony picked it up, changed the title to "The Raid: Redemption," ordered a sequel, and made us wait a year.
  15. Cool. Remember, we'll be talking about the one on his chest, not his head. Yeah, I'm sure most of the guys are aware of that. Geoff was a little disappointed we weren't discussing the pubic variety, but, seeing as Matty ain't around anymore, he'd have no one to converse with on that matter anyhow.
  16. Yesterday was Avantasia - Scarecrow You still listening to this one, too, Wes?
  17. He no longer owns it, which means he has absolutely no control. In fact, I half expect Disney to release the Holy Trilogy, unaltered, on Blu Ray. As for the Hutt, they're keeping him on as a creative consultant, which is smart, 'cause there's no denying his creativity.
  18. I wanted to check this out. Wanted? Meaning you no longer do?
  19. Glad to hear you and your fam are doing well, all things considering, and I'll continue to keep you in my prayers. And don't worry, we've held off on the Paul Stanley hair piece thread until you get back. Be safe and take care.
