  1. I still stand by my rating and that the rockers dont (quite) deliver in the way sound of madness did. It is a good album though. Destine is still the number one modern album for me in 2012. Almost flawless in fact. Love that band. I should give that Destine album a listen, but The Classic Crime's "Phoenix" is my favourite Modern Rock album of 2012.
  2. Yeah, I don't understand you Americans and giving the option to have ground beef cooked anything less than well done. As for steak, I like it rare.
  3. I know, right? At what point do we begin to acknowledge we have a problem? Or do we not acknowledge that ever?
  4. You, and only you, Jez. Me and many many thousands of others it seems mate..Pop music at it's very best. Great disc No, I was referring to this site alone. I'm not criticizing. I, myself, have two threads dedicated to the shit I listen to. As for Mylene Farmer, I prefer her protege, Alizee. Especially her last album.
  5. Have you seen the "Batman: Gotham Knight" anime? Six short films by various Japanese anime studios. Might be my favourite collection of Batman stories.
  6. Terry... Good luck with the move. Hope you and your family thrive in your new surroundings. As far as having new pawn shops and other places to scrounge... I'd be willing to bet that Terry has already hit those places on a few occasions. And I'm not so sure the Portland scene is any better than the Seattle scene. But I'm from Vancouver, so I can't say much.
  7. Portland also has a lot of good breweries. I'm happy to hear things are looking up for you.
  8. Yes, it was not bad at all and worth a watch(or 2). Yeah, I enjoyed it. I don't think it was marketed well. It should have done better.
  9. Great show! Night Ranger tore the roof off the sucker and Loverboy swept up leaving a nice platform for Journey... But they didn't really go anywhere with it. That may just be me not being a serious Journey fan. "Faithfully" was phenomenal, I have to admit. Great seats, too. I bought nose bleeds, but we walked into the lower bowl and found seats eight rows up in a section that never filled up. It was strange. Everything around us filled up, but not where we were. Really made it worth the price.
  10. Journey, Loverboy, and Night Ranger in four hours. If we're fortunate, it'll be in that order. But I doubt it.
  11. that it is............ Give it to me please. Oh yeah this rocks! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzgES2kpFT4 Who can send this to me? PLEASE! Not sure where I have this MP3, but I have it somewhere as this is one of the most played songs on my Ipod - love it. Smokes a lot of what was on the CD (all of which I love anyway). If no one else can help you out shoot me your email address and I'll hunt this mofo down. How the hell could they exclude this track from the standard release? Probably the best track! C'mon guys. Really? Great track--no doubt--but not the best.
  12. I don't read a lot of comics, but my friend is a huge comic nerd. Even more, I hate Superman. Still, this friend convinced me to watch All-Star Superman last year. I thought it was terrible. The voice acting killed me. But earlier this year, he got me to watch Superman vs. The Elite and I thought that one was great. These definitely aren't geared towards kids. Batman: Under the Red Hood was phenomenal. So I'd suggest you don't expect the rest to reach the same standard.
  13. I only heard it once and to be honest it did nothing for me. I'll certainly be getting the new one. Generation Wild was my fave release of 2010, along with Treat's Coup De Grace. I unfortunately agree with you, Dave. I can't say I'm a big fan of these bands going for the "raw" sound. But, like you, I'll still buy this one.
  14. So what are your thoughts on that sample?
