Did you get this one yet? How is the packaging? It is still listed for $9.99 so I may pull the trigger if it is packaged worth a damn. Just got it and it's a digi pack with some photos inside the package and then a seperate booklet with lyrics and thank you's so it's a nice pacakging IMO. Cool, I'll grab it with my next order. Thanks for the info.

I agree, there probably were other factors going on here. Regardless, much like Leykis says, this just sucks. Jeff was a true metal legend that stuck to his guns and always gave the fans what they wanted....SLAYER! As a slayer fan who has seen them live a few times, I really think my interest in any new Slayer will pass along with Jeff. RIP.

That would be a good thing. Avoid almost anything that's been remastered. There are plenty in this series. Interesting mix as well. Some of the albums (CDs) are out of print in any single format which adds to the value (Blackfoot- Verticle Smiles). Have not purchased any yet, just getting feedback.

I think it may vary but the vast majority seems to be 5 (Alice Cooper, Foreigner, Montrose, Pantera, etc.).

This series seems to be expanding. The one release in particular that caught my attention was the Ratt set. I remember it being listed as remastered (Blabbermouth, I think) but other reviews say they sound the same as previous issued cds. Wanted to check with the board and let you guys sound off. Like I said, the Ratt box is my main concern but speak up on any other bands from the series as well. All opinions are appreciated.

Ditto. Doug is only involved, IMO, with quality music. One of the best guitarist on the planet. Enjoyed the two previous albums, should be more of the same.
