  1. Yeah, I take it as an insult that people think they can pass on this crap as new without anyone paying attention or caring.
  2. Something I have noticed of late that is becoming more and more common, sellers listing used cds as NEW/SEALED. I had this happen at least 3 times within the last few months through both Amazon and Half.com but I'm sure it's going on elsewhere. They simply do a half assed plastic seal, not even close to a factory seal, and it's supposed to be new. The responses I've gotten is playing dumb on all levels, "Sorry, it was sealed when we got it so we assumed that it was new". Anyone else with have this problem?
  3. Calm before the storm?!! Could be and that's exactly what I'm trying to avoid!
  4. OK, been buying so much music of late that I really began to wonder if my wife was going to protest, either verbal (jabs) or non-verbal (attitude). As luck would have it, I intercepted a large shipment a couple of days so all is cool for now. Typically she does not say anything about it, never has. But she's been trapped in the house with our 2 year old & 3 week old daughters and I know fraustration is setting in.
  5. Dear God, got drunk as a skunk last night to celebrate my birthday. I'd been on the wagon for a while and truly paid a price this morning. On a high note, the football game was good.
  6. Love that album!! Only have it on cassette though Good pick up Rick! I got it from CD Baby. Damn I love these guys! Remind me big time of 80's era Helix. TKO was great! Make sure you get the reissues on Divebomb if you don't have them already. Awesome job on those. I've been buying way too much music of late. the Metal Mind reissues have been my musical fix.
  7. There is nothing funny about it at all! Although it's so damn true. Sharing your pain, brother! (And saying, "But you're so good at it" doesn't seem to help...) Told that joke at a wedding one time, all I heard was crickets. I got ripped after that so at least something good happened.
  8. Thanks for the heads up on this. Total Misfits fan and pretty much dig all era's of the band (minus the 50's covers album you mentioned).
  9. It was really just a dolphin.
  10. Huge Vain fan. Thanks to everyone for all the info and updates.
  11. Ditto!!!!! Hope she f&*(((ing dies!!!!! Rough!!!!
  12. Mark Ripperger is one of the worst fucking umpires I have ever had the fucking displeasure of watching call a baseball game. Hope someone on the board is related to this fucking cocksucker so they can tell him I said so. Or give me his address and i'll tell him face to face.
  13. If you're a Kiss fan at all, Behind The Mask is one of the best music related books I've ever read. They cover every album and every song with input from the people that wrote, played and recorded them (very surprising who actually played on a lot of those songs). Very informative and no punches pulled. Great book imo.
  14. Went to a local Hispanic store to grab some Coronas and I can say, without hesitation, that the lady at the check out was one the best looking women I have EVER seen in person. She spoke to me, I remember my mouth opening, but nothing came out. Jesus.
  15. Great band. Love the song "Not Made of Glass" among many others. Wish both cds would get a Rock Candy style reissue.

    Journey

I don't know that they need to sell near as many as the last one. The Walmart version of Eclipse looks like it cost about $1.00 to produce so they should make plenty of cash selling far less amounts.

    Journey

I've enjoyed what I've heard so far (just got it yesterday)and will continue to give it spins. The packing totally sucks. Just a cheap cardboard gatefold. If the euro version is better I may have to consider an upgrade.

    Journey

I picked up the cd yesterday at Walmart. Spun it a couple of times and overall, it's really good. Glad I got it. But the cardboard sleeve trick for packing is some of the cheapest I've seen. Not impressed with that aspect. On topic, some great songs are on the disc but I don't feel this ballad is one of them. That said, I'm not a ballad guy and they really have to grow on me. In time, maybe this one will.
  19. Pretty much the same thing happening. Flogging Molly cranked up with the NFL Draft on TV.

    2011 NFL Draft

Still drinking and still watching the draft. Right now, I really like what the Bucs have done. Bookend rushers that can get to the passer. Of course being a Falcons fan, I hate that we have to face them twice a year.
  21. These guys just keep the albums coming. By no means am I complaining, quality tunes imo.

    2011 NFL Draft

All I could do was scratch my head when I saw that they had picked Christian Ponder. No idea what they saw in him to make them take him ahead of Mallet, Dalton, or even Ricky Stanzi or Tyrod Taylor. Of course, the Panthers took Cam Newton, and now, inevitably, he will wind up starting too soon, and due to having to run for his damn life on nearly every play (pitiful O line), his pro career will fizzle out without ever really having a chance to succeed. Just my opinion, but that's what I see happening.... hope I'm wrong. Add the fact that Steve Smith has demanded a trade (cleaned out his locker even), Cam will NO receivers to throw the ball to.

    2011 NFL Draft

Yes, I will be drunk for the next 3 days watching and reviewing the NFL draft. Think Roger got the message last night? With the Falcons being my team I was more than stunned when they traded up to get Jones. He better make the f@cking Hall of Fame with all that we had to give up to get him. How do you feel about your team's draft?"
