  1. On a best of album its fine, but on a reissue I wanna hear stuff recorded at the same time, not new songs that may not even fit with the sound. Would a modern Tesla song sit well on a reissue of a clasic album? Ditto for Warrant, Crue, Stryper or just about most bands who are still going. I dont want a bonus track that could possibly be so out of place that it spoils the consistancy of what is a classic album. Just listen to the unreleased stuff that was released on the last two Tyketto albums, and they were good quality songs, so bonus tracks do not have to be live tracks or shitty quality demos.
  2. Hmmm, not sure I like the idea of a bonus track being something new rather than something from the vaults.
  3. Seeing as the album only came out last year, I doubt they will start on a new album just yet as they have been touring all over the world, and these covers are merely the equivilant of single b-sides in an era when CD singles are a rarity. That said, Ralph said today that he met Joe Elliot at the Metal Hammer awards last night, and Joe has shown interest in being on their next album.
  4. Mine just looks silver from start to finish, with no kind of colour change etc, and do not believe it to be a CDR.
  5. With the CDR/silver pressed disc, as I said before, if you look on the silver side of the disc, it has this website http://www.ultraentertainment.com/ To me it looks silver pressed, but its getting harder and harder to tell CDRs from the real deal these days. Ultra Entertainment seem to be a company that will do the duplications for bands, which could mean they are silver pressed. They use full colour professional screen printing on the discs as well, so they certainly look as good as any major label in my opinion. As has been said, it wouldnt surprise me if the band dont know the difference between silver pressed and CDR, or what process Ultra use.
  6. I dont hear anything overly modern in it either. I'm not even sure I know what modern is anyway, seeing as most 'modern' bands are just rehashing the older sound anyway.

  8. Just listening to the song and am not blown away. I think the last time I was truly blown away by any Maiden songs was Clansman on Virtual XI. Everything since then has been ok, but just sounds so generic/formulaic. Cant say this song is particularly special or hooky. Shame really, as I love most of the Maiden stuff right up to the point where Bruce returned, then it all just washes over me.
  9. Right after Star Trek get theirs from Ron.
  10. If this is actually a CDR, its a very professionally done one, thats all I have to say. There is a website on the silver side of the disk, which seems to indicate these are the guys they use to copy their discs. http://www.ultraentertainment.com/ I'd have no problem paying for it if it wasnt for the fact I won a copy anyway.
  11. I still prefer the likes of Treat, Crazy Lixx, Crashdiet, HEAT and possibly Pretty Maids, but that's some unfairly strong competition. But it's got a firm grip on that 5/6 spot for me at the moment. I suppose it depends on what is classified as strong competition. I thought the Treat album was decidedly average, and what I have heard from those other bands hasnt exactly blown me away. Guess its all a matter of personal choice though. All I know is I hadnt even heard of these guys til a month or so ago, and after hearing one track, I was hooked enough to get the album straight away, and it hasnt stopped being played since.
  12. In my opinion, every track is killer, and blows away pretty much everything else this year so far. Even the Ratt one, which is a storming album.
  13. stunning live band as well.
  14. they will also be releasing a cover of the Backstreet Boys "I want it that way" via download only, to celebrate playing the Download festival. Should be funny!
  15. I just won a signed copy from the band yesterday, so when it arrives, I will let you know if its a CDR or not.
  16. For anyone thats interested, Panther have done a cover of Whole lotta Rosie for an AC/DC tribute CD given away in the latest issue of Metal Hammer. Its a damn good version as well.
  17. Vettel really needs to man up and admit he made a mistake. Yeah he was nosing ahead, but the car next to him wasnt just gonna vanish into thin air now was it. There was quite a way before the next turn, so there was absolutely no need to swerve right so severely.
  18. Well for me, I can think of a few of this years albums that I think are better than the Treat one, but the Reckless Love album is hands down my fave album of the year, and I dont see it being beaten.
  19. The band have been posting links to reviews all day, and the reviews are all saying that the band are brilliant live, and should be going on to bigger and better things.
  20. UK release is June 7th, according to Amazon. Do like the cover art. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Get-Your-Hands-Dirty-Jettblack/dp/B003L46BWS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1274903583&sr=1-1
  21. I believe its out in Finland (of all places) on Monday, but a UK release is June or July. Not heard anything on a US or any other international release dates yet.
  22. saw these guys support Reckless Love, and I was very impressed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QvXU5EG0rYk
  23. They were bloody amazing. The Barfly is a tiny place, with probably only the capacity for 100 people or so, but you would have thought it was a much bigger crowd going on the noise. They sound really tight, and are heavier than on record. Songs like Born to rock, which isnt one of the best songs on the album, really feed on the live format as it was a huge sing along song, and the energy was amazing. You could tell the band were amazed with the reception, and even though its such a small venue, they seemed genuinly taken back that it sold out, especially on a Monday night.
