  1. According to their website, they will be back soon and have a link to a PDF file catalogue and say to place orders via email.
  2. Was finally able to afford the album yesterday, so ordered it from Amazon. Played it several times this morning, and its great. I love this line: I know she's your sister, but I can't pretend. When it comes to lovin', I have no friends.
  3. He married Suzette back in the 80s (she was the bands make up or costume girl if I remember correctly), and he even recorded the song You're not alone (Suzettes song) back on the You cant stop rock n roll album. This is them renewing their wedding vows when Dee was doing the Van Helsing thing.
  4. I got lucky today. The London Borderline gig went on sale last week, and sold out immediately, long before I got paid and could buy a ticket. On the off chance today, I checked out Ticketweb and found out its been moved to the Relentless Garage in Islington, and tickets are back on sale.
  5. Not sure if its the music or video: http://rapidshare.com/files/305292723/1995_-_Live_From_London.part1.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/305321142/1995_-_Live_From_London.part2.rar
  6. On the Friday it was Ugly Kid Joe instead of Crown Of Thorns, but apparently they were crap as well (COT were awful as most of their set they had Little Steven singing his songs, and he was terrible), as some friends of mine went on the Friday who were UKJ fans. Van Hagar were great, but Thunder were amazing, which was surprising as I never would have seen them as being the sort of band to excel at such a big venue. Of course, I later learned that they could put on a great show anywhere.
  7. From memory it was 3 nights at Wembley Stadium in 95. I have a feeling it was intitally two dates, that sold out quite quickly, so they added a third. I was at the Saturday one (where Crown of Thorns played instead of Ugly Kid Joe, and were truly awful), and I remember that the Jovi set went on for something like two and a half hours (I think Van Halen played more than an hour themselves). Look at that price. £21 for four bands at Wembley (Jovi/Halen/Thunder/Crown Of Thorns), and now the worst tickets at a Jovi gig are more than that. Still amazing live (possibly even better), but way overpriced.
  8. LEGENDARY KISS MANAGER William Aucoin, beloved record industry executive, manager, entrepreneur, and creative visionary, passed away this morning, Monday, June 28 at 9:11 am. EST at the Aventura Hospital and Medical Center in Aventura, Florida. Born December 29, 1943, Bill was battling prostate cancer, and passed away from surgical complications. The man known for masterminding the career of the world-renowned group KISS, Bill Aucoin also managed STARZ, TOBY BEAU, BILLY SQUIER, BILLY IDOL, and numerous other artists. His most recent venture is Aucoin Globe Entertainment, which he founded in 2007. In its three years, Bill and his company developed bands in the U.S. and around the world. He leaves behind his boyfriend of fifteen years, Roman Fernandez, and two sisters Betty Britton and Janet Bankowski. Funeral arrangements are pending.
  9. Well they do seem to have big label connections at least as the Reckless Love CD was released through Spinefarm via Universal Records.
  10. Spinefarm is a Finnish label, and has been making quite a lot of signings in recent times, and now has a UK arm as well. Reckless Love are signed to Spinefarm already, so its no surprise that they seem to be reissuing a band like Crashdiet as well. Even the British band Jettblack are now signed to them. Just looked on Amazon.co.uk, and they are also saying that the album will be re-released in July, so it all looks genuine.
  11. I'll just content myself with going to see them for free at the O2 tonight.
  12. Not sure if this song has been released outside Europe as I believe it was available as a downloadable b-side only. http://rapidshare.com/files/402333461/12_-_Reckless_Love_-_Get_Electric.mp3.html They actually play this one live at shows.
  13. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ftADnMD3pc Strange choice
  14. Well seeing as the band are getting more media attention as Rock Sugar than they ever got as Loud & Clear, that gives them a damn good reason to record such a great covers CD.

  16. I think what Nick was saying is that yes, it would appeal to those of use here that like this stuff, but all those people who are buying their albums and going to their shows that arent buying all the great classic rock stuff that is loved here, would not buy into the band were it not for the humour. I can say that a good portion of the crowd at Panther gigs would not be the sort of people you see at a Gotthard gig or a Reckless Love gig or a Crashdiet gig etc. If not for the parody aspect, they would still be playing tiny clubs, would not be signed to a big label and would not have hit the UK album charts. Hell, they certainly wouldnt have been played by Fearne Cotton on Radio 1 last week.

  19. Just in case anyone is interested, when I saw them live, the guy singing on this is the lead guitarist, and only sang a few numbers. The other guy on guitar sang most of the songs.
  20. Not a bad song. Not a million miles from what Bret has being doing the last few years.
  21. tbh, I am not sure if things were good between Vinnie and the other members of the band since he split, as I have both Kristy and Steve on my Facebook friends list, and neither of them even mentioned his death.
  22. Perfect example is the Perris reissue of Leather boyz with electric toyz. The addition of the original Jap bonus track, Slam Dunk, really was a great addition. Most of the rest of the bonus tracks tarnished what was a perfect album for me.
  23. On a best of album its fine, but on a reissue I wanna hear stuff recorded at the same time, not new songs that may not even fit with the sound. Would a modern Tesla song sit well on a reissue of a clasic album? Ditto for Warrant, Crue, Stryper or just about most bands who are still going. I dont want a bonus track that could possibly be so out of place that it spoils the consistancy of what is a classic album. Just listen to the unreleased stuff that was released on the last two Tyketto albums, and they were good quality songs, so bonus tracks do not have to be live tracks or shitty quality demos.
