  1. If I was to put the albums in order of how much I like them it would be: S/T Animal attraction Turborider Spirit Invader Spirit had some brilliant songs on it, but was far less consistant than the two albums before it, and some songs were pure cringe with their lyrics (Metal ass). Turborider though comes pretty close to the first two albums for consistancy, and the synth wave style really freshened up their sound. Invader while not terrible is a distant fifth as it never really clicked with me beyond a couple of songs. Certainly the only album in their catalogue that I rarely play all the way through. That said, their worst album is still better than some bands best album.
  2. Burning bridges was not really an album though, it was just a collection of older songs they did not use on albums, hence the reason certain parts of the song (backing vocal chant) were used over multiple songs. I think most of these songs were from What about now and maybe The circle sessions.
  3. From FB (sorry if its wonky as attempting this post on a phone) As announced, we are super excited to be sharing the news of our new single 'FORTITUDE' releasing on the 5th of February at 07:30 PM. We were fully packed up and occupied with the upcoming album production last year and so there was this gap with no new music and updates as it takes time to come up with a full LP record. But nevertheless, the album is all ready and you guys will love it. Here is the roll out plan 1. February 5th - Fortitude Music Video 2. March 4th - New Single 3. April 12 - Album Launch Singles and album will be released via 'Frontiers Music Srl' channel and pages. More updates of the album will be highlighted soon. Thanks to all of you for your constant love and support. 'Rock On Top' 🤟🏿🤟🏿🤟🏿
  4. I don't think it would have made a difference to girls back then as lets face it, this was the MTV era and the music videos alone were enough to sell the band to a female audience. I don't think a wet trash bag was gonna sell it to them any better. The big difference though is the album would not have been as readily available considering that certain stores refused to carry it, hence the change of cover. I actually have the Jap import with the original cover on CD, so at least one country did not care, and they were still hugely popular in Japan.
  5. People been saying for ages he is the house wifes choice. Sadly he still has his diehards who will accept anything he does, so he really does not care about those of us who are not interested anymore. Just so long as his house wives and blinkered fans still buy his stuff.
  6. Funny thing that this is brought back up as been playing 2018s Wreckfest game again the last few weeks and forgot these guys and One Desire both have two songs on the soundtrack, and it reminded me I still have not picked up their last album. Unsurprisingly the game developers are Finnish. For those who use Spotify, this is the game soundtrack
  7. If people have not seen it, there is a topic covering the upcoming album already, so worth checking out if you like these guys.
  8. Cassidy Paris - New sensation (had the digital copy when it came out, but finally tracked down a reasonably priced CD copy)
  9. Yeah obviously everything is down to personal tastes, but while nothing has been as good as the early days, I do think everything from These days to The circle has had some absolutely fantastic songs on them (with the exception of this Left sounds shite). And I even like a few tunes off What about now, but for me Burning bridges onwards has been utter dog eggs. 2020 was so bad I waited until it was dirt cheap before buying it, something I have never done with a Jovi album before, and I still think I over paid. I actually put together a Jovi playlist last night, and its amazing how many latter day songs were in it.
  10. Once again though, it's all gonna come down to personal tastes and what anyone classifies as AOR. You mention Magnum for instance. Many people will generally classify them as prog rock, not AOR. Cher I would barely classify as rock, AOR or not. Pat Benatar is melodic rock to me. Jeffersons Starship, is more pop oriented to me. But this just backs up my point that one mans trash is another mans treasure, and you will never be able to please everyone with these lists.
  11. I remain scepticle going on the last couple of albums that I really did not like, but I also retain a glimmer of hope just out of respect for their past work. All that said, I really could not give a shit what Hughs wife says as there is blatantly gonna be bias on her part. If Jon just decided to shit in a bucket and send it out as a new album, she would say it's great I am sure because her husband probably provided the undigested pieces of sweetcorn that adorn it. As for Mitch, he does believe anyone who dislikes anything by Bon Jovi is a "hater". I am certainly not a "hater" as I love the band. But I am also not some kind of blind fan who accepts any old crap a band puts out. I don't care if it's Jovi, Crue, Poison or Pretty Boy Floyd, if they release a dog of an album or a song that makes my ears bleed, I will be honest and give my true feelings, not suck on their extra long teets. Fuck me, I am starting to sound like @Geoff
  12. Thanks. How the hell smaller traders can get copies and Amazon can't is beyond me. Said it before, but there is something crappy going on between Amazon and Frontiers as Amazon always gets their CDs later than everyone else. They are the only label that always ships late on there. I was considering ordering a signed copy from her website, as it's about the same price as market place sellers are charging for unsigned, but of course postage nearly doubles the price. £21 for the CD, but £36 when you add in postage.
  13. So this is totally weird. I preordered the album from Amazon and they kept changing the delivery date, until it got to the point they said "we will let you know when it will be dispatched". There were copies available on marketplace, but charging over the odds. and as Amazon had let me download a copy I wasn't too fussed. I did go to a few other international Amazon sites and a few other sites that sell CDs, but it was either not available or overpriced. Looked on the Frontiers store and it is not even listed. Over a month later Amazon has cancelled my order and said they will not be able to get hold of it. As per usual, Frontiers never reply to any of the social media posts, so no idea what the fuck is going on with making this CD so hard to get.
  14. The point is, outside of the diehard fans, Mick was always the quiet man in the background with the other three getting all the attention. You have to remember that there are a lot of people out there who don't know everything about bands they listen to and believe what is spoon fed to them. How often did Mick get recognition? Not very often.
  15. If you watch the recent Q&A his goal was merely to get himself back into singing after his leukemia, and it basically turned out to be so popular that he kept doing them. If he did an original arrangement it would take longer as you essentially have to completely re-write the music and for something he was just doing for fun would probably mean he would no longer do them. I agree that if I am buying a covers album or have a cover recorded specifically for sale as a single or album track, I will always prefer a unique take (as long as it doesn't totally ruin the song) rather than a straight up cover. But I can understand when doing this for YouTube, doing your own take would be too time consuming, especially as just a side project.
  16. Director: "Hey CC, we need to do a video for your collaboration with Spike. What kinda video do you want?" CC ... sitting down doing copious amount of drugs "I dunno, just make it how you think I see the world"
