  1. Well... please understand. I'm trying to put this issue to bed for good. It's meant to reach a targeted audience. So...if I bore you. My apologies. Simply move on and have a great day ! It's a lot of emotional stuff jammed in a few paragraphs. Hence....the so called ramblin. Any way. I'll dumb it down for those who may not know the issue at hand. Record man and friend from past said you got record deal. You good singer. Wow thanks...me excited and trust you. Me sing.....record man and friend from past say thanks and F*&^! you very much! There's a hell of a lot more to it. But like you said ...you got bored, quick. Ok got it now. Sorry things didn't work out. And don't worry, I've been known to ramble about certain topics too
  2. Awesome disc! Ever heard it before now? No actually I've never head it until now...in fact I was just saying that in a message to John (DaHun72) who kindly traded it with me (awesome trader BTW). Have they got any more tunes worth owning apart from this EP - I've heard they turned crap.

  4. I got bored of reading that ramble real quick. If you could have summarised that down into a single paragraph or just a line or two I might have got something out of it.
  5. +1 Sorry, but I tried so hard to like this band based on some top reviews (many by people who's music tastes I highly respect) but I just cannot find the appeal. Bottom line - It's the lyrics that are the problem. Lines such as "I'll kiss your mouth even after you swallow my load". Now that's kinda funny, even hilarious the first time I heard it, but it gets old real quick and I certainly feel embarrassed to crank this up in front of friends and family. And that's just the first example I came across but the truth is that these type of lyrics are spread throughout just about every song on the disc. The argument that every other glam/sleaze/hair band has lyrics like these is simply not true. Most of them use these sorta lyrics sparingly and make use of a little thing called subtlety, whereas Steel Panther unashamedly go ahead and spell it out, plastering these lyrics all over their music. Now I understand Steel Panther started out as a parody band and their music is intended to be humorous and shock people but to me this doesn't make their music any more listenable. Funny at first, and there's nothing wrong with having a joke but in the end this is not music that is going to find regular spins in my household. I'm not looking to get in an argument. Just my thoughts.
  6. Wow, now that is a good find. If you don't like it for whatever reason, please let me know and we'll try to hook something up. Where the hell did you get that one from? Picked this one up from GEMM. They're a great band and you don't hear them mentioned too often. Gotta watch out as their is a dodgy bootleg going around but I managed to score an original.

  8. What do you think of that Teramaze...? I really life it, but its a total different direction from the previous albums. The 2nd one is killer Queensryche/Balance of power style. Whered you get 91 Suite from? Got any tips? I haven't played the Teramaze CD yet, only got it yesterday. To be honest I'm not expecting a lot from it and I didn't really think their 'Tears To Dust' album was anything too special either but for the cheap price I got this for I'll give it a try anyway. I got 91 Suite from the CD Inzane E-Bay store. There's another copy on there now for $25 buy it now. Just hoping they will re-issue the 2nd album soon as well, as it now sells for $50-60

  11. Actually I'd prefer a new track as a bonus track most of the time. I'm sick of crappy live versions and poor quality demos for bonus tracks.
  12. I've now made a donation (wish I could have given more) but every bit must help some. Now for my guess of Dan's new no. 1 album for 2010: I was going to say Avantasia but instead I'll go with Grand Illusion.
  13. This band doesn't sound too bad. Will have to check out more. Glen have you checked out the full album yet?

  15. Does anyone know about the BFD - s/t (1994) on Iguana Records?
  16. A few screen shots to get people interested.
  17. Check out this list of 360 AOR/Westcoast albums. It's called "The Secret Door Library - Albums you need to check out" http://www.bluedesert.dk/secrets2.html It has some pretty interesting stuff on there, quite a few of which I have in my collection and rate very highly. But this got me wondering, as there are so many albums on the list that I've never heard of, what are some 'lesser known' albums on this list that don't get talked about very much that you think are worth checking out? This might be a good way for the AOR fans here to find a few gems that went under the radar. For me I quite like the Andy Baum (& the Trix) album 'Extra Feathers' that doesn't get talked about much.
