  1. Listening to this album right now - man it kicks ass. Even if you don't think this would be your thing I'd highly recommend giving it a try. Every track is a winner.
  2. I just saw on Face Book a few messages saying that Jack Russell is really not very well and in need of some prayers. Not sure what the story is but I do hope things work out.
  3. Looks like this one has sold out already....still haven't received my copy yet.
  4. Innocent Kiss has always been a fav of mine but there are so many great tunes on this disc.
  5. I haven't received mine yet. But from what you have said Dan I am a little disappointed with the cheap packaging and lack of a proper booklet with details about the content of the CD's and some photos etc. would have been nice. However, I still feel that for the amount of songs on here this boxed set is still worthwhile adding to the collection.
  6. I'll be down that way on a short trip, so will pick up a ticket for the Sydney leg. Line-up looks very good. Looking forward to the new band announcements.
  7. I'm going to buy it at JB Hifi this week. This new album kinds came outta nowhere. I wasn't even aware that a new album was on the way until it came out. I do like this band a lot. I know a lot of people weren't thrilled with the 'Gutterflower' and 'Let Love In' albums but I thought they had some very cool songs on them. Looking forward to hearing the new one soon.
  8. The band will be stocking both the Japanese pressing which comes complete with the obligatory bonus track along with the Euro pressing at the Sydney show as well as the Melbourne Shows. White Widdow has also been hand picked as support act for a recent Firefest act that will be touring Melbourne & Sydney next year Which Firefest act - c'mon Andre, please tell or at least give a hint....
  9. Here's a tip - everyone goes for the greasy food - the kebab, the meat pie, maccas etc....nothing wrong with that but here's the tip... don't forget the sugar. It's very important that when your night of drinking is coming to an end, you need to eat (in addition to a grease burger) a doughnut or something really sugary like that before your night ends, as the sugar will help metabolize the alcohol. It won't stop you from getting a hangover but it will makes it much easier to handle.
  10. It seems to be very common on vinyl but the 1992 CD release is quite hard to come by.
  11. 12. Sounds awesome. I'll definitely give it a go.
  13. Good news about those Candy Harlot recordings. I wonder if they're demos? 28 tracks, that's quite a lot! I picked up two Mark Easton Limousine CD's recently - 'Coast to Coast' and 'Band Wagon'. Haven't even got to playing them yet. Have them in front of me right now so will give them a spin.
  14. Apart from Images and Words, I'm not very familiar with the Dream Theater discography. 'Another Day' is one of my all time favourite songs.
  15. Any thoughts on this one? It's not listed on the HH's main pages. I saw a description stating "in the vein of Boulevard, Bridge 2 Far, a more rocking Hall & Oates and Bob Halligan." Sounds very interesting to me... Sad Cafe - Politics Of Existing (1985) 1. I Didn't Want You 2. Midnite 3. Trying To Reach You 4. Saving Grace 5. Clocks 6. Refugees 7. Only Love 8. Keep Us Together 9. Heart 10. China Seize
  16. So is it worth getting this Euro release with extra tracks or is the standard version fine. The standard version is selling at NEH for $10 which seems pretty good to me for a new release.
  17. Yep I certainly do have a trade in progress...been managing to knock a lot of stuff off my want list lately.
  18. I just picked up a 2nd copy of the Devils In Heaven 'Say A Prayer' EP as well as an original copy of Dave Whitney's (DIH singer) solo album 'Heart Mind and Soul' which I can now scratch off my want list. Anyone who hasn't heard it, Dave Whitney's solo album was released in 1993 and is really excellent AOR and well worth tracking down if you can. 1993 Listen To My Heart Dreams Take Me Down Free Down The Line What About Love Simple Man All Night Your Beating Heart Miles And Time Heart, Mind And Soul Only You For Me Liberation Ships In The Night Ain't It A Wonder
  19. This should be available in a few days. Very exciting.
  20. Saw Stryper in Bris last night. I was very impressed. Vocals and guitars were great. I have to agree with Geoff about the volume though...far too loud.
  21. Is the packaging any good on this re-issue? I know some of the old wounded bird discs had very cheap packaging.
  22. Not sure who these bands are or what this is about but it at least looks interesting... Rockbrat News Flash: Rum Babas Re-union Show – 20 November 2010 When: Saturday 20 November 2010 - 7:30pm Where: Sandringham Hotel – 387 King Street – Newtown One of Australia’s finest all-girl outfits the Rum-Babas will do a one-off re-union show soon in Sydney as support to the also re-formed Vanilla Chainsaws. Newcastle outfit The Dragstrippers will kick off the evening. I really should alter that photo at left to read ’2010′ but it’s a cool image to accompany this news piece. Be there ! 23. 'Forever in Time' is a pretty good album. In fact all of their albums have at least a few really cool songs.
