  1. Yeah I don't get why DAS is singing lead vocals on an Andy Rock solo album, but whatever the case, these are nice tunes and I'd be keen to hear some more.
  2. Had a listen today on Spotify- very bland songs. I have no desire to hear this again. The only award I will give this is a gold star for worst album cover of the year.
  3. I like BK, always loved his voice...but these songs are not for me.
  4. Heard an awesome song recently from the album Palisade - Lost in Paradise. Can't recall which track but it was mind-blowing. Will check out Excruciating Pleasures next!
  5. I did a quick Google search and this topic is on a number of boards. There is a thread those goes deep into some history like maybe this is some hired players doing this time for the videos. Otherwise I could come up with zero. Yeah I did see those posts on the other forums too. My first thought was that maybe this band only had this one song before they called it quits but it seems strange for an unknown band with only one song to have produced a video clip. Anyway I do hope the original poster finds an answer soon. I posted it on FB in the hope someone there might recognise it.
  6. Any idea what town / state / country they are from? Do you known any of the band members names?
  7. Yeah me too Alpha. I've said my piece. Still love this forum more than any other and it shits all over Facebook. I'll try and read some more of the new band topics and get a bit more active on the forum again.
  8. At 8 minutes 24 seconds, 'The Secret Part I' won't be receiving radio airplay any time soon and is in my book about as progressive as it gets. That's not to say I don't like this.... in fact Simo is right, this should appeal to melodic music fans more generally, especially those who are into the melodic metal scene. Good stuff.
  9. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7QGhU5lp-zM Check out 'Until I Collapse' - final song from their 2015 album. Awesome stuff.
  10. Yeah that's probably my main gripe with these new retro synthwave bands- too many instrumentals in fact a lot of the bands only do instrumentals. The ones with vocals are generally a lot better.
  11. Sorry mate, hated that immensely.
  12. Agree with Dan - better than expected and not what I was expecting.
  13. Nice, that 'Love at First Sight' is really cool. Would be great to be a multi instrumentalist. Even though most of the songs here are in the modern hard rock vein, there are still glimpses of his versatility on display here. Good stuff.
  14. Yes like most others I'm enjoying this- funny because if you asked me if I wanted to hear some synth heavy 80s styled music I probably would have passed - that idea doesn't really appeal much at all, but the fact is that this stuff is damn catchy music and leaves me wanting to hear more. Luckily there are a bunch of other new 'synthwave' bands following the trend.
  15. Not really into this band. They have a song called 'Failing Eyes 2' which is really cool but the rest doesn't do a lot for me.
  16. Yeah not bad, probably worth checking out some more.
  17. That video...WTF!!! The song is kinda catchy but not my style.
  18. Nice, I like this a lot. I'm sure I listened to some previous Sick Puppies releases and thought they were terrible, but this is excellent.
  19. I'll be the first to say I don't like this. Reminds me too much of alternative rock bands like The Killers. Musically sounds ok and well produced but not my thing at all.
