  1. You are incorrect JL , I have never sold Hurricane "Take What You Want" on a weekly basis. I'd lay my life down for that statement as well. Thanks. Maybe others will also realize that as well. Like I said , all re-issues that I sell are clearly stated as re-issues.
  2. What you have is the other version. Please people - there are TWO versions of TAKE WHAT YOU WANT. Do your homework and get it right. I'm sorry for you eagles, but if your copy lacks the IFPI number the &then reported than your copy is probably the Greek bootleg which came in circulation last year. All I want to know is where Sam got these copies, he might have been fooled as well. I suppose selling boots in Greece is a legal business. Come on is a boot really worth $80 I don't think so, if Sam really known they were a boot do you think he would sell them at such a high price. Eagles - I guarantee you that I have NEVER sold a Greek boot of that album - I would lay my life down on that statement.
  3. I agree. My problem with bootlegs has been less about the nature of them than sellers not revealing what they are selling and the expectations of the buyer. I shouldn't have to PM a seller and ask if a disc is a bootleg, especially if you consider that most sellers will either (1) lie to you or (2) be hostile about the question. It's to the point where you have to assume that any rare disc is a bootleg until proven otherwise, instead of the other way around. Of course sellers will never candidly admit or reveal their merchandise as being bootlegs voluntarily. That would be like a burglar ringing the doorbell first: it sure as hell isn't in their best interest... Sam's response is one you would expect: he deflects the question back into your lap, making it your fault or problem as the buyer, rather than his responsibility as a seller. Nothing new. The never-ending supply of Wraith soundtracks he sells are another prime example. Oh well, this is an age-old argument that we'll never see a resolution to... -Dan That's right Dan - and isn't it amazing how nobody has ever complained about those discs? Because the MAJORITY of true music fans buy for music , not for other bullshit reasons. Bottom line - I cater to those people , not the anal collectors - which is why I am the top hard rock / metal seller in the USA. I am really sick of this argument.....so give it a rest already. Totally legit Eagles. And please don't mention the word "authorities" - I have heard that line for 7 years and it means diddly. Every Hurricane cd I have sold is the real deal......and that amounts to about 10 in 7 years.
  4. Sam, that's such a horse-shit cop out it's hillarious. If people were up front & honest about exactly what they were selling in the first place, these problems wouldn't exist, would they? Believe it or not, there are some people out there who want the genuine article...not some piece of shit knock off that's being passed off as the real thing. ...and I do not want those people buying from me - which is why many people from this forum are blocked permanently.
  5. Go figure...... Interesting that he says they got all the CDs.... apple222 has left no feedback relating to this auction for "woodmccorner", and look at the feedback that woodmccorner left for apple222 on March 29th: http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...94147355&de=off Excellent Ebayer......Box #1 is on the way, Box #2 shipped on 3/29/07....Thanks So, on the 29th, Box 1 was on the way, and the second box had just shipped....but he's already gotten all the CDs.... hot damn the USPS musta kicked some ass on those packages! There are some somewhat interesting similarities......in the feedback that has been left for other's..... http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...&item=-1&de=off http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...&item=-1&de=off http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...&item=-1&de=off Wonder if apple222 had some prior dealings with Lovid before with other ID's? Wood, most folks introduce themselves to the forum, first.....before getting into a major discussion/thread and/or kinda touchy subject.....especially with a few folks here! Actually, if you look a bit deeper, you see that he bought a Ron Keel Anthology cd from osiyo11, who sells that stuff. I think that seller may be Ron Keel or someone who is selling for him. Maybe Sam can confirm through RK who and where that cd went to!!?? osiyo11 is Ron Keel and I will find out where it went....
  6. Buy for the music - not for re-selling or labels and you won't have any problems will you? It's a simple solution. Can of worms...... Oh and I NEVER said the WorkForce cd was released in 1969 - I said one of the songs was written in 1969 (and is true) but it's pretty typical for someone to misinterpret what I say. Don't like , Don't buy.
  7. I always announce my cd's as re-issues if that is what they are.
  8. All Hurricane cd's I had were legit. And the original Hurricane cd's DO have "made by Discovery systems" on the inner ring. Please do your homework.
  9. Springfield got replaced with Cincinnati. Sorry Dave!! Tour is going ok - in Ohio now. Stit and Herazz performed very well in Detroit and I have some great news about who I met there. Will try to update when I get back to Vegas. Rock On!!
  10. Wow! Have you attended the Sam School Of Good Manors and Proper Language? Next time why not look away before adding a comment that you know will get a negative reaction. Dave , are you always such a dick or are you making up for what you don't have? Your comment was uncalled for. Tony has earned a lot of respect in my book but Dave , you are just flat out lame. While I do not agree with Tony's post I can honestly say that if someone was using my sound-clips in their description I'd be pissed. But if they just nicked the description then great - more sales and traffic for R.R.
  11. All releases should be up this weekend except for Reckless which will be up next weekend. thanks guys. Still working on the Rosie stuff Nick. It will be coming soon. VERY busy at the moment - sorry for being so quick Sam
  12. RECKLESS "No Frills" - finally available after 20 years as an official silver-pressed disc you don't want to miss out on this classy Melodic Hard Rock gem originally recorded in 1987. HERMAN ZE GERMAN & FRIENDS - Originally released in 1985 , Scorpions drummer Herman Rarebell recorded this star-studded solo bonanza while the Scorps were on hiatus. This Hard Rockin' treasure features Don Dokken , Jack Russell , Juan Croucier , Steve Marriott and more!! Silver-Edition. MASS "New Birth" - One of the most coveted Melodic Hard Rock / Metal releases of the mid-80s finally gets the official silver cd treatment and includes a nice 8-page booklet featuring lyrics , pics and liner notes by vocalist Louie St August. Best of all is that this cd is boosted by a never-before released bonus track taken from the "New Birth" sessions and never made it to the album. Essential for 80s Melodic Metal fans. LAZY SUSAN "Bad Habit" - Sounding similar to Retrospect cohorts 'Buster Cherry' , this Hard Rockin quartet recorded this 7-song mini-album at the height of the no-talent flannel-soaked scene. The year was 1994 but it might as well have been 1989 for these Melodic Hard Rockers from Nashville. Guitarist Steve Purcell would go on to work with Ron Keel. Check out the sound samples - a nice addition to any 80s Hard Rock fan. This is a first time release on any format for Lazy Susan. POYNT BLANKK "Any Questions?" - Re-release of this early 90s thrash indie and another notch on the belt of Retrospect subsidiary Retrothrash Records. Poynt Blankk hailed from Hawaii and could mosh with the best of em. Highly recommended to fans of Metallica , Megadeth , Suicidal Tendencies , Death Angel etc... NANTUCKET "V" - Here it is , Nantucket's most AOR-sounding album finally issued on cd for the first time. Originally released in 1985 this disc is awashed in big harmony vocals , lotsa keyboards and some fiery musicianship. TONS of new releases coming in the next few months including: Tyger Tyger Mariah 3 Ron Keel's 2 cd set Anthology including 8 unreleased tracks from Steeler , Fair Game and Lust (1980!!!) Keel / Shortino Side Kixx Third Degree Cuttlass Warryor Dyce Lorraine Fierce Heart DC Star Gerard McMann Intrinsic Fortress Stiletto Hamish Staxx (1st album) Tony Lee Wise Bugsy Malone Fury Jester Blue Tiger Beggars Playground Herazz 2 cd set and LOTS more that I will not mention (but includes some BIIIIGGGG names) until releases dates are set in stone. Thanks for supporting the largest re-issue label in the world. Sam @ Retrospect Records....

  14. Are you sure Luck313 and glamster1970 are the same person? Because I noticed on one auction they bid each other up. Knowing the way Luck313 bids though, it wouldn't surprise me if he was biding against himself thats how they do it. they bid the tape up real high and then retract last day so that the price goes way back down. goddamn clowns.
  15. If I can find a way to do 300 silver (which is very possible) for $600 then it will be silver. If not , then 100 test units as silver cd-r's will be manufactured.
  16. I'll try to fix that problem with the emailing. Let's see... Reckless and Nantucket should be available Monday. Lorraine is going into production today. Mass and Herman Ze German just came in yesterday.
  17. thanks Tim , I just heard that someone was implicating me in the Lonnie scandal. That particular person just needs to fuck right off and will get an eyeful if he shows up in the RR forum. How's that for customer service? LOL. Hey Speed , thanks - unfortunately my dad's days are now extremely numbered so yes a lot of emotional times right now. Rock On.
  18. Starting with Lorraine "Boys Nite Out" which was totally booted and then slowly sold as rare indies from 1992 when they were actually printed in 2005. Should I spill the beans on who did that?
  19. Rob/Chris is a complete wanker - thanks for the hook-up on the new name - I think I need to use my ebay power and get rid of this fucker once and for all......
  20. Yep I am back and it's pretty typical to see people starting a bunch of crap about nada. I do not have any people skills?? Gosh , how did I become one of the biggest sellers on the planet? Because I suck at communicating? Because I suck at business? Because I screw people over? Some people should really get a life and save their drama for their mama. Sheesh. Nice to be back , I got a lot of work done and a SHIT-LOAD of bands signed which I will announce in another thread. It's really going to be an amazing year and through all the B.S. and more moronic behavior from the unbelievers it just makes me stronger and the label bigger. Thanks!
  21. you sure we are talking about the same First Strike?
  22. If you go to the NEVER SAY DIE RECORDS part of this forum , it just doesn't make sense.....read his posts and you will scratch your head a dozen times.....
