  1. I didn't realize that Sheldon was singing for ICON. I knew they were active but didn't know who was singinng. Sheldon was the guy that was in Adler's Appetite after Jizzy Pearl, right? That is correct yes and what a hell of a job he did for Icon at Rocklahoma. I would highly recommend everyone to go check out the youtube footage of Icon at Rok. They were the best band I have EVER seen Live.
  2. Excellent list David. Looking forward to A LOT of those myself - I'll definitely add three to my list of anticipated releases.. ICON - new album with singer Tarsha Sheldon. Can't wait to release this! FIFTH ANGEL - ohhhh I hope it's as good as the previous two!! WILDSTREET - debut album has done very well , hope they can follow up with a bigger , meaner monster! A lot of great Melodic Rock and Metal being released lately - let's hope it continues. Contender for album of the year is Powerwolf's "Bible of the Beast' - anyone heard this yet? KILLER KILLER stuff!!
  3. Ron Mancuso is a good friend of mine here in Vegas - I've heard a couple of songs from the new album. VERY good stuff!
  4. Thanks - I just contacted Saigon Saloon - they sounded pretty good. The other band wasn't my cup of tea.
  5. Dr Starr is coming on board I believe. You find the others , I'll sign em. I'm not a huge glam fan - especially not of the "punk-glam" variety. BUT I do like melodic glam so just point em my way!
  6. Its just that there's not a whole lot of glam out there that is unreleased. I think its better suited to Eonian and SunCity. However , I did get approached from Pretty Boy Floyd and a couple other glam acts so I would definitely sign em if they are good! Hey Sam Any update on the Leather Toyz cd release??? Cheerz No update yet on Leather Toyz. Great great material though!!
  7. Dude - the Pandemonium cd's are gonna be killer. We remastered everything from the original Metal Blade reels and there's a bunch of unreleased songs. Just waiting on liners from David Resch.
  8. It was released by the band as a cd-r yes , I think it's good enough to be silver'd though.
  9. I dunno - just thought Eonian and SunCity were more glam oriented - I haven't heard any of either company's releases so I guess my assumption could be misguided.
  10. Its just that there's not a whole lot of glam out there that is unreleased. I think its better suited to Eonian and SunCity. However , I did get approached from Pretty Boy Floyd and a couple other glam acts so I would definitely sign em if they are good!
  11. I believe my brother was dealing with those guys - hopefully he can answer that question.
  12. It's been a rough 3 or 4 months....the music industry isn't what it used to be. Just trying to survive this economic downturn but things may be looking up. Dan you'll have a nice package comin atcha shortly. Would love to be a part of Dakota Rock Fest next year. Hopefully I can make it happen!!

DAVID - III (2006) - Silver-pressed re-issue of David Mikeal's (guitarist / vocalist formerly of early 80's cult AOR band MPG, and currently in TIN HOUSE) most recent solo album and arguably the best in his catalog. The songs are stellar; a melodic feast of huge vocals, anthemic hooks, superb musicianship and big warm production reminiscent of all your favorite arena bands of the 70's and 80's. 15. My brother would know more about that. But I think its pretty close to being done.
  16. Please note the year: 2005. It is almost 2010 - no boots in the Retrospect camp. (You don't do a couple of big festivals and ask bands to come and play them when you're booting their stuff do you?) And NO , Time Warp and all those other offshoot labels are NOT of my design.... Just thought I'd clear that up. Now the good news.... 2 big press releases coming shortly , including new releases and new signings (we've got a release schedule at least an arms-length long)...
  17. We may not see eye to eye on everything Dan but your website is an excellent resource and wealth of infomation that I'm sure many have perused with 'shock and awe'. Thanks for all you do to keep it going. You are a true purveyor of Melodic Rock.

  18. I already re-released the Heaven's Wish cd well over a year ago. You can find it on my website at a reasonable price.
  19. Streetheart and Harlequin would be cool. Thunder Mountain Rock Fest is July 2010. It's gonna be a killer fest I think. Just lookin for more Canadian acts. Blackfish would be great but I don't have contact info for them. Thanks for your assistance!
  20. Hey guys , I was hoping maybe Tony (koogles) or a few of our other Canuck friends from the north could help me with something. It appears there is going to be a massive 80s Rock festival in North Dakota in July 2010 near the Canadian border. I am booking some bands for the fest and noticed that the closest Canadian city is Winnipeg. What I'd like to know is what 80s Rock / Metal / AOR bands are from Winnipeg?? Can be big or small. Thanks for any help. Sam
  21. Damn those are some good names! Any thoughts on trying to get something going with Dakota Rock Fest? Would love to - just don't have any contact info.
  22. This RGW debacle is a clusterfuck of epic proportions. This makes the Lonnie scandal look like a petty theft. Jacob is right - RGW started with the peeps involved wanting a little vindication against Rocklahoma for getting ousted out. Over one year in the planning , 50+ bands , over 4,000 ticket sales and 2 venues later the whole thing tanks. Complete incompetence on the part of the promoters / organizers and this Frizzell guy (FYI also from Arkansas - surprise surprise) , well his rep is mud now. If you'd spent money on RV Rental / Hotel Rooms , plane tickets , time off work , event tickets and such - how would you feel knowing you were getting NO money back? Jeez - it really is sad. Rocklahoma will always be in my good books for being so organized and just being an all-round great experience. I am surprised more H.H. members don't go to Rocklahoma - I am hoping to entice most of you to give it a shot in 2010. I think you'll be quite impressed with the line-up. I can tell you right now who I am going after for the smaller acts... Wildside , Shark Island , Babylon AD , Tuff , Tyketto , Brighton Rock , Cry Wolf , Roughhouse , Steel Panther , Praying Mantis , Defcon plus the return of D'Molls , Baton Rouge , Icon , Silent Rage , Lord Tracy , Pair-a-dice , Mariah , Mad Margritt and quite a few others... Come give it a shot in 2010 , VIP tickets are only $250 and its gonna be a killer show!! Don't worry about the heat - all sidestage tents will be cooled and the VIP tent is always cool. Incidentally , I have a whole boat-load of new releases out so I better get a press release to Dan. ROCK ON!
